Good location, close to beach and warm welcome.
Good location and competitively priced
Small, badly laid out bathroom
The hotel is conveniently located; it is functional overall, with no 'frills'. The breakfast was very good, my room was comfortable, and the staff were very helpful (especially Lisa, who kindly lent me a £1 coin for the spa locker - thank you!).
The room locking mechanisms (ie. with a card) need to be upgraded, as they are a bit 'fiddly', and can be de-magnetized by accidently storing your card next to your mobile phone. The bedrooms should have safes installed. The lockers in the spa changing room (ladies) are very dilapidated and need to be updated. Ensure that the steam room is working!
The space in the rooms, facilities available. Breakfast was good.
We were woken at 12,3,7.30am with people moving furniture around above us. We were located int eh basement so would have been staff in restaurant.
Location is ok but in a rundown part of town up a really steep hill
Reception staff were rude, I was then charged to check in at 12 not 4pm, then I was charged to park the car! The parking was awful really small and then received a £60 fine as I dropped off in one vehicle and then paid for the over night parking of another vehicle !
Lovely and clean, near the beach
Bed too small, struggled to get comfortable at times.
Comfy beds, friendly staff
Overall decor wasnt great in the corridors, lots of dust in the bathroom on skirting boards etc
Lovely staff. Nice and quiet location. Large family room with interconnecting room. Extremely clean and beds comfortable. Air conditioning was good and the curtains were completely black out.
The TV's were too small, especially the one in the double room. It's too small for the room it was hard to watch it.
Large room for the family. Pool was small but a nice extra. Food was amazing and reasonably priced.
The room was very cold. Heating was turned on but took a long time to heat the room as it was a large room with high ceilings.
The location was good as it was so close to the sea.
The car parking is an issue.
Staff was great very helpful, beds were comfy
Shower could of been cleaned a little better
Stay here quite often. Rooms are always spotless, staff are very helpful and friendly and good choices at breakfast.
Bit dated but that adds to its charm!
Very comfy beds ,clean, good location
Its advertises as a spa but apparently hasn't been a spa since last year,so you book thinking it's a spa ,to get treatments when your there but only has a pool.wven on the paperwork in the rooms and reception advertises spa treatments and to book at reception, so was disappointed in that ,it needs to update there site info and advertising
Chose the hotel as travelling with a dog. Managed to park on a side street next to the hotel (I was lucky). Locatuon is great only 10 minutes from a park or the beach.Check in was ok if not particularly warm. Superior room (327) is large albeit with a small bathroom and small TV. Quiet, warm, clean and comfy bed.
Breakfast was average but for £11.00 just about worth the money. We ate in a separate dogs allowed room which I did not mind. The table could have been set as they knew we were having breakfast here.
My review is titled dogs allowed as opposed to dog friendly as there is a difference. £15.00 per night as opposed to per stay like, for example, the Hilton, who also provide dog bowls, treats and a blanket.
The staff were lovely and friendly. The food was good. The hotel was clean. The swimming pool was great.
Initially it seemed good. Took grandchildren swimming, busy but fine. Breakfast good.
Leak in our room, we appreciated these things happen however, initially we couldn’t be moved but was later necessary as water dripping started up again as we all tried to sleep. Ate in restaurant- horrendous experience, painfully slow service - not served with what we did order. Drinks took forever to come and again then wrong with no apology. Restaurant only had a couple of other diners so could not work out problem. On leaving front of house not interested in our problems or even offer of an apology. Sent an email outlining problems once home and that has also been ignored. Will never be returning. Sad as we had enjoyed previous family visits.
Good breakfast
The bed and particularly the pillows were really uncomfortable
