Pros:

Views from the room and from the restaurant are amazing, nice big green territory. Breakfast is simple, but good. It's not quite possible to walk anywhere from the hotel, so either car or taxi is mandatory. (we knew it, so were not surprised)

Cons:

Furniture is tired, bit of mold in the bathroom and on the bathroom curtain.

Pros:

Excellent view of Funchal and the sunrise was better than the official website photo!

Cons:

There were bugs and mosquitoes in the room, understandable as there were so many flowers and shrubs around.
Difficult to drive out of the entrance because couldn’t see the traffic well, should install a mirror outside the entrance.

Prima verblijf, maar de vijf sterren is een vraagteken
Pros:

Het terras was uitmuntend voor ontbijt en diner.

Cons:

Geen portier bij de ingang, terwijl dekoffers 8 treden omhoog moeteen, dat past niet bij 5 sterren.
Veel te weinig stopcontacten voor reizigers anno 2026.
Geen pro-actieve bediening tijdens de maaltijden, zijn er nogal eens obstakels te overwinnen.
Het interieur begint versleten te raken.
Slechte housekeeping.

Pros:

Le personnel est accueillant et bienveillant. La chambre est propre et contient un grand lit double. Literie confortable. Il y a une salle de sport assez bien équipée ouverte H24 et un espace piscine intérieur et extérieur bien aménagé.
Le restaurant a une vue imprenable sur Funchal. Magnifique lever du soleil au petit déjeuner, qui est riche et savoureux. Possibilité d’avoir un room service h24. Places de parc en face de l’hôtel pour 10€ par jour.

De tuin en het ontbijt (heerlijk buitenterras) waren super.

Cons:

Alles is een beetje oud en het vaak nét niet. Badkuip grotendeels geschilfert, stoelen die kapot zijn, etc. Pretendeert 5 sterren te zijn, maar is dat niet. Maar over het geheel gezien prima voor de prijs.

Sehr schön und ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit toller Aussicht über Funchal. Das Frühstückbuffet ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Auch auch die à la Carte Menüs am Abend sind ausgezeichnet. Das Personal im Hotel ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel verfügt einen Innen- und einen Aussenpool, die sehr sauber waren und nur von den Hotelgästen benüzt werden dürfen. Schöne Gartenanlage, die sehr gepflegt ist. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber. Einmal bestellten wir um 9 Uhr abends das Nachtessen auf das Zimmer, das ging ohne Probleme und der Service wurde prompt ausgeführt. Eine Flasche Wasser wurde ab und an ins Zimner gestellt. Meine Partnerin wurde an ihrem Geburtstag noch mit einem Stück Kuchen überrascht, wow! Wir haben die sieben Nächte sehr genossen.

Cons:

Einzig, aber da kann das Hotel nichts dafür, es hat kein Gehweg an der engen Strasse zum Hotel.

Dejligt afslappet og roligt hotel
Pros:

Morgenmaden var rigtig fin, med et godt udvalg. Hyggeligt med pianist spillende til morgen maden. Flink personale. Haven og poolen er rigtig dejlig, med en smuk udsigt.

Cons:

Gulvtæpperne generelt på hotellet trænger til at blive skiftet.

Персонал, старался и это было видно

Cons:

Вечером персонал был очень загружен, 2 человека на бар и ресторан это очень мало. Приходилось ждать очень долго пока вас обслужат, да они старались это было видно и приятно. Не весь персонал может делать хорошие коктейли, что бы открыть вино ждал слишком долго в итоге сам открывал и себе и другим людям, ну и в итоге попросил штопор в номер, и мне с радостью дали)

Особое внимание что ведро для льда оказалось взять очень сложно, первый раз нам принесли Бакал со льдом, и это было прям не ожидаемо сказал при этом что у них нету велел для льда, на следующий день пошли лично и нам с трудом но дали ведомо со льдом.

Так же заказав чай к бассейну принесли бумажные стаканы, что как бы было не слишком приятно, учитывая что это 5-ти звездочный отель.

В целом отель хороший и персонал тоже, все старались и не было такого что на тебя забивали или говорили что от такого, посещая 5-ти звездочной отель, особенно если этот отель для взрослых, хотелось бы видеть банальные вещи как штопор в номере, ведро со льдом и нормальные чашки, а не картон.

Я прекрасно понимаю стекло возле бассейна не желательно, но есть много разных вариантов для чашек, железные или пластиковые как приносили для коктейлей или пива.

A experiência ficou abaixo do esperado para um hotel cinco estrelas. A infraestrutura apresentava sinais de desgaste, e a limpeza, inclusive do quarto, deixava muito a desejar.

Nosso quarto ficava em frente a uma porta de serviço, cujas batidas constantes ao abrir e fechar prejudicavam o descanso. Em quase todos os dias, a camareira batia à porta entre 8h e 9h30 para realizar a limpeza, antes de sairmos e sem termos colocado o aviso solicitando o serviço.

No restaurante, não fomos informados de que o jantar exigia reserva antecipada da mesa e escolha prévia de toda a refeição. Já no salão, precisamos chamar um funcionário, pois ninguém nos atendia. Só então soubemos que não poderíamos jantar sem reserva. No bar, também houve muita demora no atendimento. Ficamos com a impressão de que os funcionários evitavam atender os hóspedes.

Relatamos o problema do barulho no checkout, mas a funcionária apenas lamentou o ocorrido. Considerando a infraestrutura, a limpeza e o atendimento, a experiência não correspondeu ao padrão que esperávamos de um hotel cinco estrelas.
