Hotel was clean and comfortable. Toilet in room needed attention. Not many staff on a Saturday night so the ones that were working were rushed of there feet

Enjoyable stay
Pros:

The front ladies on desk were excellent on checking in
Only comment felt unsafe in shower as over bath and narrow slippery thought a suite /accessible room would have a walk in shower
This aside we will stay again normally have stayed at Hilton a big improvement particularly on staff members

Room wasn’t the cleanest. Curtains had what seemed like blood or chocolate staines all over them.
The pool’s good though. Although hard to book a spot.

The VOCO Reading is a fantastic hotel with outstanding staff. You're always made to feel welcome, and the rooms are spacious, spotless, and equipped with all the latest technology. Definitely recommend to travellers.

Family suite
Pros:

Room although a suite ( two king size beds and sofa bed) was internal and therefore no outside windows which was disappointing considering the online photos. Therefore room dark with very little natural light. The bathroom had a shallow, very narrow bath with shower curtain, again disappointing either put a proper bath in or just a shower. Have to say bedding was very good and comfy.

Pros:

Hotel was a nice 3 star level with a good breakfast with vegan options eg pancakes!

Swimming booking process is rigid and not flexible and so more oriented towards business users rather than families. There should be a free for all session on a daily basis.

All very good except the TV
Pros:

Everything from check-in to chec-out, cleanliness, breakfast is very good. The Not good thing was the TV which except the very few free tv channels didn’t have anything else. Couldn’t connect to a phone or laptop or the internet. A useless flat screen tv.

Great family stay
Pros:

Really pleasant stay on the way home from holiday. The room was massive and great for a full family stay. With two king size beds and a single bed. The pool was nice for a little relax after being in the car all day but be warned you have to book slot, luckily some one did not show up to there’s or the kids would have been disappointed as the only ones available when we arrived was 20:00, so book early. Would stay again.

Pros:

Property is basically a holiday inn. Despite being built into the Reading football stadium, they do not have Sky and my son and I were unable to watch premiere league games. They sent us to their sister holiday inn (funny that) saying they would have it. But they didn’t. All a bit shoddy and low end for what we paid
