The staff are very welcoming, location is perfect, our room was with sea view it was excellent
I have stayed before and I will in future
Great room bit very little of a front ocean view. It is difficult to determine the type and location of the room you will get from the options presented at reserving the room. BE CAREFUL.
I stayed at the Ona Princess Playa Marbella for four days and had a good experience. The customer service was friendly and professional and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel itself does look dated in areas, but the stunning views from our apartment balcony made up for it. The breakfast was a bit average on the first day, but it improved as we got use to it. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend it. We might explore other hotels in the area in the future, but we can’t thank the staff enough for making our trip a memorable one.
Very friendly staff, very helpful and they take the time to help you in all your needs. Paco at the front desk was great! He explained in detailed any question we might have.
Even though hotel is old, they have it in good condition and clean.
I did not give the 5 stars because of the fact they don’t have parking and you have to either park on the street (hard to find a place) or at a parking garage in the side (quite expensive)
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Hotel is dated, and coule use some upgrades. Since it is an older building, there is no sound proofing, so you will hear your neighbours. There are ants, so best to keep all items off the ground. Hotel is close to the boardwalk and amenities. Does not have any beach front lounges, so you have to go to pubic shared spaces(very rocky). Also currently there is construction happening in the building attached, and the noise starts early and made our balcony quite dusty. We did not use our balcony much though, as water view was a very small view to the side of our balcony.
Lots of places to eat close by, old town Marbella is very close walking distance. Location is great.
Paid nearly 200€ a night to stay at this hotel which is very nice, friendly staff and clean but shocked to have to pay 4€a day for a beach towel, plus 20€ deposit, only allowed one hand. towel for 2 people and had to pay for the safe. Never had to pay for towels before…… ever!!!!!!
A superb views and ideally situated for restaurants and the beach
Have stayed numerous times at the property but this time round the experience wasn’t the best, ahead of arriving the room wasn’t cleaned well, despite the cleaner coming in
Just back from a week staying at this lovely hotel. Really can't fault it at all. Great friendly staff all round, rooms clean and certainly not dated as some are saying on here. We stayed on father's first floor. Rooms cleaned and beds made everyday. Amazing breakfast with a balance of cooked and fresh items and sweet treats too.
Great location, over looking the beach. Our room was to the side so had a slight sea view. Did not hear any noise even though a bar was situated close by. Yes the occasional neighbours door shutting but that's the same with most hotels. Did not use the pool so can't comment on that.
Fantastic location right next to the beach and big long promenade full of shops and places to eat. 10 min walk takes you to the old town which was our favorite place to be. We took the local bus and explored near by Fuengirola for a change of scene and also took excursions to Giralter and Morrocco.
The only one thing to mention is that a few of the nights I was cold and hubby was hot so air con got switched off and to fan mode only. I struggled to warm up as there were no blankets just sheets so had to put my hoodie and the trousers I had travelled with on to get a heat up. But that could be just me as my husband was fine
Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.
The property located at the center of Marbella easy to access and walkable distance to shopping, restaurant, beach and so many beach activities you can do, however the property itself it is not good it is very old and as soon as you open the room door a bad smell from the bathroom welcome you and the smell get stronger in the morning, I think there is problem with the sewage smell.
As O mention the location is perfect, they have nice rooftop pool which is nice add.
But over all the hotel didn t meet our expectation. Didn’t worth the money neither the 4 stars
Amazing location, close to everything, walking out directly to the beach. Loved our time at the hotel and Marbella
Going home today. Had a great week. This hotel has alot going for it. Location except. views , staff mostly great. Hot water , generally clean, breakfast lovely with that whole terrace beautiful. Would put umbrellas over sunbeds, rooms tired. 404 was anyway. New flooring needed o all communal areas on bedroom levels. Reception good. Shower curtain in room stained mold on glass box tiles. Not really good in todays era. Would I come again. In a heartbeat. Building work was a feature but didn't notice it after first day. Great hotel otherwise.
Muy amable el personal. Excelente ubicación
The bed is not comfortable , also it’s smell very bad, dirty
Neither hotels.com nor the hotel’s website mention that there is major concrete renovation work happening in the neighboring building. Drills and loud noise start around 07:00–07:30 in the morning.
Good breakfast, but they’re a bit slow to refill food that runs out. You usually have to ask for it.
Great location, close to the beach, the old town, and the Golden Mile.
Hard beds with only a sheet used as a blanket.
Kitchen equipped with what you need to cook at home. Plenty of space in the fridge, with a small freezer.
Good air conditioning.
Poor sound insulation between rooms.
Only two very small and unstable elevators, which often leads to long wait times at certain times of the day.Men
The good things were the location, the amazing seaview and the breakfast, the employees from the breakfast restaurant were really nice and attentive.
It’s really funny, I read the management answer to a complain regarding the noise, saying that it was quiet after 11.00 p.m., but this is so not true…The whole night there were drunk people screaming on the beach, at 4,30 every night (including weekends!)there were tractors cleaning the beach that made a terrible noise and then at 6.30-7 a.m. the noise of the constructions around the hotel were really a terror from Monday to Friday!!!
I specifically asked for a quiet room when I made the reservation and nobody told me there are construction works all around the hotel…
The apartments have different layouts, in some of them you can feel really claustrophobic in the bedroom, but the reception manager gave us choices. Anyway, all of them are dated, not very clean (upon our arrival there were food crumbs and lots of sand on the floors) and the air condition is only in the bedroom, which is not enough for the people sleeping in the living room.
Unfortunately, none of the choices offered helped us escape from the terrible noise, so no sleep for 7 nights!
The hotel was a very good option but the noise around was a nightmare! The staff super friendly and helpful! The only other thing I didn’t love was they charge for everything (safe box, pool towels. Etc)
Dated, ants in room, walls are extremely thin we heard our neighbors come in at 4am plug their sockets in and use the bathroom. Ok location 8-10 min walk from old square, great view of the sea. Don’t expect a sunbed at the pool cause there is only about 8 (for 8 floors worth of guests). Lots of construction going on in the area too which we were not told about and this woke us up in the mornings.
The hotel was really nice. Great location. Close to all restaurants and shops. Beach across from hotel isn’t crowded and usually clean. Pool area was very nice with shady area if needed. Staff was VERY nice, helpful, and always happy to greet us after our walks.
Excellent stay at the Princess Playa! We had a room which overlooked the beach which was stunning. The room itself was more than adequate. Large bathroom and a good shower. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything you needed. Yes, the decor is a little dated in places but it made no difference to our wonderful stay. The breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from. They even had gluten free bread! Jose on reception in the evenings was an absolute delight with a constant smile on his face! Thank you 😊
Friendly staff and front desk are very helpful. Great location. It's close to everything.
