I only stayed for one night but all was good. Room was clean, comfortable and breakfast the following morning was excellent.
Nothing
Restaurant and coffee shop onsite as there are limited options in the small village itself.
Music way too loud in The Loom breakfast area in the mornings. Coffee at breakfast served individually (I.e a cup filled followed by a top-up) rather than leaving a coffee pot on the table. STayed here to participate in a half marathon in the (small) town and staff were completely unaware this event was happening (?) And would have been convenient to have breakfast start even just 30mins earlier that morning to allow for the early race start time and give enough time for breakfast- was very rushed.(I.e breakfast opened st 8am and the race briefing started at 8.45am plus was about 10/15 minute walk from hotel to get to start line, so was very time restricted and rushed).
Beautifully decorated and designed room, friendly helpful staff, great dinner at Christy’s Bar, great breakfast, discount at the Woollen Mill shop also a bonus. Hubby liked the gym.
The staff were so friendly l. I was worried there would be no-one there when we finally arrived at 9pm, travelling down from northern ireland.
Breakfast was available until 11 which was perfect because we had a lie-in most days. And even though we were late one morning coming down they still gave us a warm cooked breakfast. The options were terrific and the taste of the food even more so!
We had also been gifted 10% off at the woollen mill shop, not sure if it was because we got the presidential room, which was also absolutely fabulous x
The area is also brilliant, you are 5 mins walk away from the blarney castle which was such a treat to visit! Such a well preserved castle and grounds. Loved it!
I don't think there was anything I did like. Nope can't think of anything
The hotel is very beautiful, set inside an old woollen mill and the building is respectful to it's heritage. The public areas are light and spacious and the bedrooms likewise. The adjoining bar/restaurant offers a decent menu and the portion sizes are more than substantial! Food was cooked well and did not disappoint. The cafe/eatery attached also has a wide and varied menu and the hotel breakfast is served here in a mezzanine, separating it from the large public area. The grounds are well kept and it's only a few minutes stroll to Blarney Castle. Also contained within the same old building is a large shop, selling authentic Blarney Woollen Mills goods. Service across all areas (hotel, shop, restaurant, cafe) was superb and we are hoping to visit again soon. We had an idyllic stay, preferring to be in the countryside on the outskirts of the city, rather than in it's midst. At time of writing there is a public bus that runs half hourly that takes you into the centre of Cork - bus stop is only a few minutes from the hotel.
Gorgeous room. Great breakfast. Close to the village & castle. Loved the onsite restaurant and the woollen mills shop.
Only one small issue. We had hoped to have a movie night in our room with the kids but the tv was outdated and unable to provide this option.
Grote kamer. Uitgebreid ontbijt.
No negatives at all
Loved everything except the person in next room who snored so loudly he kept me awake and irritated me
