The staff were very friendly and definitely be staying there again
The pillow was not that comfortable and needed replacing for future guests
Staff very helpful
Beds looking a bit tatty underneath
Looks great from the outside but inside needs a total revamp from bedroom to bathroom
Everything very poor down the a tap that just drips .
Rooms could do with updating but otherwise good,
Bed was a bit to hard, also left a speaker behind but no one could find it when we inquired about it once we got home and realised it was missing
The staff were friendly enough and as we were not too familiar with Swansea, they provided us with some great local information about places to visit that were in keeping with our interests. The breakfast was good value for money with lots of options available. The food was tasty, and the chef made some extra sausages as the buffet had ran out. This didn't seem to be any trouble at all.
We booked a suite with a city view. I enjoy the feel and ambience of staying in a hotel and the view is important to me. We were told we were getting a free upgrade to an apartment, which I thought was generous. Unfortunately, the apartment was not jn the main building and felt less comfy and sparse. It reminded me of a cheap Butlins chalet, except it did have a decent washing machine and fridge freezer. For a one night stay, I wasn't about to do any laundry. The apartment access stairway and the apartment itself had an uncomfortable smell. I wondered whether the excessive smell of air freshener was to mask doggy scents as we passed a dog on the stairs. Great for taking your pooch with you I suppose. There was little attention to cleanliness with established spiders on the kitchen worktop and food splatters on the wall. This could be remedied by a simple wipe down and some tiling, which would make the area more hygienic and easier to clean. The toilet brush harboured remnants of how many prior guests I couldn't tell. The mattress was comfortable, but the base left me feeling dizzy each time I moved around as it seemed to swing from side to side. If I had been less British, I would have declined the upgrade but I'm not sure there will be a next time.
Good location, with parking. Very good staff.
No pool, but was advertised with a pool.
Great location and large rooms. Lovely staff
The bed had 2 different size mattresses so very difficult to sleep on as you slid into the middle
Staff were freindly and close to town
The bed was so uncomfortable, completely sunken in the middle , no plugs by the bed so couldn't plug sleep machine in. Radiator in bathroom was so rusty wouldn't risk putting on. Booked with booking.com the room with breakfast included but was not on system so wanted another 26.00 for breakfast.
The Dragon Hotel is in a very convenient location. A short walk from the train station, not far from the bus station, multi-story carparks nearby. The hotel also has limited parking spaces around the back. As on previous visits the room is very cold, but there is a portable electric heater supplied. I had a shower when I arrived late afternoon and the water was piping hot. In the morning it was only lukewarm and I had to wait a long time for it to get hot enough. I had a cold so didn't want a cold shower. On this visit I slept very well due there being no noisy guests. The breakfast is adequate, sometimes there is a hot buffet, other times there isn't and your order of a fried breakfast is freshly made and very nice. The breakfast room which is the Piano Room faces the east and the morning sun can be very dazzling even though there are blinds fitted. The reception staff, as usual, were absolutely marvellous.
A cold shower in the morning, a long wait for it to get hot. Traffic noise can be annoying, especially due to boy racers.
Only saving grace was their reception staff who and polite and helpful.
