One of the best in Seoul for sure, it’s the highest end in Hyatt group
Good location in Gangnam with other hotels, luxury malls and posh restaurants. But Gangnam under heavy construction
Lobby and rooms are well designed and luxurious. Accessibility is complicated as selected lifts go to the room, lobby and restaurant . The suite only has 1 toilet and 1 sink. Great Le labo toiletries
Gym very nice albeit only medium size
Breakfast very good, wrote a seperate review
9/10
We were greeted very warmly by the staff. We enjoyed our stay very much. Park Hyatt will be our choice of Hotel for our future visit to Korea
Having visited Park Hyatt Seoul annually for over ten years, we have built a deep connection with the property. It is because we care for the hotel that I wanted to share some constructive observations to help maintain the high standards we have come to expect.
Property Maintenance & Hardware While we noted the partial renovations from a few years ago, the guest rooms are beginning to show their age. To remain competitive with Seoul’s evolving luxury market, the property would benefit from a comprehensive makeover, similar to the recent, impressive transformation at Park Hyatt Tokyo.
Atmosphere & Odor Issues We noticed persistent odors in key areas that detracted from the luxury experience:
* 15th Floor: A distinct "burnt linen" smell in the corridor near the utility room.
* The Timber House: Noticeable musty/sewer-like odors in certain sections.
Dining Experience – Cornerstone After an exceptional dinner in 2025, we chose a private room for a birthday celebration this year. While the "Primavera Nobile" course was generally well-received, the dessert (Ricotta Cream-filled Choux) was a significant disappointment. Unlike the light, crisp pastry we’ve enjoyed at PH Milan, these were soggy with stale-tasting cream. Unfortunately, all seven guests felt this ended an otherwise lovely meal on a poor note.
Commendations Despite these concerns, the service remains a highlight. We would like to extend our special appreciation to:
* Erin Kim: Who was wonderful in looking after every small detail of our stay.
* Jake Park: Whose warm smile and friendly greeting we look forward to every year.
We share this in the hope of seeing these areas addressed by our next visit.
The location
Small hotel, and no good hotel facilities
Love love love Park Hyatt , they are so sweet to prepare the birthday surprise and I love it so much !
Even though it has been almost a year since our stay at Park Hyatt Seoul, I still remember what a wonderful experience we had. The hotel was very clean, beautifully maintained, and the location is excellent for exploring Seoul.
I would also like to give special recognition to Bentley, who welcomed guests at the entrance and opened the doors. He greeted us warmly every time we arrived and made us feel truly welcome. His kindness and professionalism left a lasting impression.
Great hotel, wonderful service, and we would happily stay here again.
Park Hyatt Seoul is centrally located in Gangnam -- so basically part of the "new city" as compared to the "old city" on the other side of the Han River.
It is similar to Park Hyatts that may you have experienced in other countries. The closest I put it to is Park Hyatt Toronto.
Service is top notch, and absolutely no complaints. I had the largest corner suite room, with more TVs than I needed, but the Beosound *and* Bose soundbars were nice touches.
The bathroom has heated flooring and double vanities, which are always appreciated. The toilet has a washlet -- it's not a Toto, though -- and so a bit inferior (splitting hairs?).
I was there on business, and appreciated the large desk with plentiful outlets. Similarly, there were outlets to the sides of both vanities, as well as outlets above both bedroom nightstands. It's little things like this that can really make or break a stay.
Every is super, super nice. Laundry service, non-express, was in by 9 or 11 am (I can't remember which) and out by 6 pm.
When I travel for business, I go for "easy" and "seamless" -- I want everything to just work right, and I have no complaints with the Park Hyatt in this respect.
I received an email ahead of my reservation that due to construction I may hear noise at times in the room. I was on a lower floor -- the 8th floor -- and frankly couldn't tell that there was much if any noise. Maybe 10-20 minutes a day? Absolutely not a problem.
I visit Korea at least once a year, and this is my go-to hotel. Large rooms, for a reasonable price.
Oh, one last thing -- I'm vegan, and they cater to vegans. There's actually a complete vegan in-room menu. Very unusual for an Asian hotel.
My personal opinion with Park Hyatt is that it's a hair under Four Seasons, and two hairs under Mandarin Oriental. That's not a negative, as those are both fine hotels. If you are expecting "over the top" service at Park Hyatt, you may be disappointed. But if you are expecting solid, luxury service, it's your hotel. I recommend it wholeheartedly.
Great location with the circle loop metro / underground station at doorstep
Didn’t like how you have to go from your floor to the top floor ( reception) then back down again.
BOIKOT KOREA SELATAN RASIS_______________________________
I was in Gangnam for a couple of weeks in February specifically to get some work done on my face, as a middle aged man losing my battle against gravity. I could not have chosen a better property for my recovery stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. While definitely not the newest property, every space is very well maintained.
But what really made our stay stand out was the staff. Everyone from the bell desk to housekeeping were so helpful with our requests as my mobility was a bit compromised in the post op period. The concierge, specifically Ms. Lee Yeojin, really went out above and beyond to accommodate our random needs, such as finding a place to purchase a wedge shaped pillow or finding a hyperbaric oxygen therapy clinic open on a Sunday. The manager allowed me to take my breakfast in my room as my face was a swollen wreck for the first few days after surgery.
We really felt looked after by everyone at the hotel. A true 5* experience. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Seoul, hopefully in a more fun capacity!
The facility, service, amenities and design
Could not find much
I loved my stay at the Park Hyatt Seoul. I arrived very early in the morning and they allowed my to check in to my room early, which I really appreciated after a 15 hour flight. The staff was professional and welcoming.
My room was amazing and honestly, it was hard to gather the energy to leave such a nice room! But with only 3 days in Seoul, I showered and headed straight out.
The CBD (central business district) location wasn't ideal for the sightseeing I was doing, but the subway is super efficient and right outside the front door of the hotel.
I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Seoul.
Beautiful establishment located in the heart of Gangnam Street just steps away to the main mall and attractions.
Room is super user friendly the weather control unit is the best ive ever had in any hotel in my whole life!
Nice bathroom and view, I didn’t try any of the outlets but room service was 10/10!
What makes this hotel really special is the incredible dedicated team they’re blessed to have. Very special thank you to Elena, Jo Leo and everyone at concierge for making my short stay a very special one.
Mixed bag. As a Globalist, I default to Hyatt where possible, and the Park Hyatt Seoul has an excellent reputation, so I chose it for a five-night stay.
Rooms – Beautiful, spacious rooms with excellent bathrooms, bathtubs, and city views. Blackout blinds are very effective, and the building’s slim design means very few rooms per floor, which adds to the sense of privacy.
That said, higher floors are essential. The small premium for rooms above the 15th floor is absolutely worth it. I voluntarily downgraded from a suite on the 9th floor to a Deluxe room on the 22nd—and it was a clear upgrade. The Deluxe double rooms on higher floors are actually nicer than the lower-floor suites. On lower levels, traffic and construction noise are noticeable.
Service – Professional, polished, and consistent with expectations of a top-tier Seoul hotel.
Location – Samseong/Gangnam itself is nothing special. Fine if you’re here for (financial) business, but tourists should expect to rely heavily on public transport. On the plus side, Line 2 of the subway (the central loop) is directly at the entrance, which makes getting around easy.
Spa / Fitness – The pool is attractive and offers good views, but it’s shallow and on the small side. The fitness center is solid, and the spa area with sauna and hot/cold pools is pleasant, though more functional than memorable.
Breakfast / Food – Unfortunately, this is the hotel’s biggest weakness and the main reason it falls short of five stars.
Breakfast can become extremely busy after 09:00–09:30, with waits of up to 25–30 minutes for a table—unacceptable at this level. If you’re seated in one of the quieter back rooms or corners, the experience is fine; elsewhere it’s crowded and chaotic. The “freshly squeezed juices” are actually tetrapak juices, though you can order fresh ones. The à-la-carte egg/breakfast menu is limited. Service is friendly and efficient overall, though a few orders were forgotten. Breakfast ends at 10:00 on weekdays and 10:30 on weekends—both should be extended by at least 30 minutes to better distribute demand.
In-room dining is poor. Across two rooms, we tried several options: spaghetti (bland), burgers (oddly soapy), and Asian dishes (adequate at best for the price). This was the worst food experience I’ve had across more than 25 Park Hyatt stays worldwide. We ended up eating at the nearby McDonald’s more often than we ever expected.
Conclusion – I would stay here again for the rooms—on a high floor only—but the food and breakfast experience prevent this Park Hyatt from earning a five-star review.
This was the most amazing stay! I surprised my Fiancée with a trip for her Birthday. She was extremely pleased with our stay. The employees were so sweet. They wished her a happy birthday. They were accommodating to all of our needs. Amazing hospitality! The room was immaculate with the perfect view of the city. The amenities were amazing. Our favorite was the Timber House. We love live music and every performance was amazing. They even sang Happy Birthday to my Fiancée. Big thanks to Larry, the bartender there. He curated the best cocktails and made our nights with his amazing energy. Very foreigner friendly. We’ve stayed at a few hotels in Seoul. Overall this was by far the best! We will be back.
No complaints
Always amazing to be back at my favorite hotel in Seoul. Park Hyatt Seoul truly feels like a home away from home. I love the beautiful wooden floors, the truly high ceilings, and the stunning view overlooking COEX. The design feels warm, elegant, and timeless.
The staff are always welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. With the updated breakfast and consistent top-tier service, it remains the absolute best hotel in Seoul.
Highly recommend!!
I have stayed at Park Hyatt Seoul many times over the last couple of years and it is my go-to hotel in Seoul. I have always looked forward to its warm and elevated experience and consider it my home away from home. Hyatt member benefits are always consistent which is important to me as a top-tier Globalist. The highlights are the deep soaking tub available in every room type and breakfast buffet. The bathroom and bedrooms have a great view and the decour is "quiet simplistic luxury." Also love the granite floor in the bathroom. Breakfast buffet has excellent options for western and Korean cuisines and staff are very proactive and attentive. Cannot wait to return.
Thanks to Billy, who assisted us at check-in, our stay started on such a positive note—we immediately felt genuinely welcomed. His professionalism and exceptionally kind manner made a strong and lasting impression on us.
Over the past several years, we have typically stayed at the nearby Parnas Hotel whenever visiting Seoul. However, after this experience, we truly feel that we would like to choose Park Hyatt for our future visits instead. This decision is largely due to Billy’s outstanding service and attitude.
In addition, the room service and guest services were consistently comfortable and attentive throughout our stay. As this visit took place shortly after surgery, we chose Park Hyatt over Parnas primarily due to concerns about carpeted flooring. Yet beyond the flooring, every aspect of our stay at Park Hyatt was more pleasant and reassuring.
Please be sure to extend our sincere compliments and appreciation to Billy. He truly made our stay memorable.
