Nice old hotel, but I would not stay again or recommend.
Pros:

Good location, clean

Cons:

My husband and I were in room 305, great looking when you walk in, however the slanted windows had very thin shades, almost see through. I called to see if there was a remedy for this and was told shades were on order, they offered to bring me a blanket to hang, the wall is slanted. This would work great for someone wanting to get up at 5 am while on vacation. The breakfast wasn’t worth the walk downstairs. Muffins, cereal coffee and juice.

Comfortable Bed
Pros:

Clean room and comfortable beds. Room had 2 double beds and a sofa. Only drawback is the toilet is low. My husband had a hard time with it.

Pros:

It's the perfect location for a visit to Sault ste marie. The bed was very comfortable as well.

Cons:

The staff could have been a little nicer, in the hotel is showing its age. Just some upgrades would help. Otherwise a great stay.

Great place to stay for a Historic getaway.
Pros:

My wife and I loved the location and the suite we upgraded to. The views were great, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and clean.

We were there 2 nights. The occasional road noise of the day was gone by night.

The area was very walkable and safe. The location is close to the Soo Locks, restaurants, shops, and local bars. We enjoyed the check-out time of 12pm while we were there (note: we don't know if that's seasonal or not).

The front staff was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, and we never felt rushed. The continental breakfast was fairly basic but very convenient. There were several restaurants nearby if we desired something more.
