Restaurant / Bar / rooms with golf course view and balcony were all great. Great location for visiting the NEC
Showers in the pool / spa (men’s) were poor
Staff were very nice
Beautiful grounds
Lovely rooms/lodges
Lovely restaurant and bars
Water in the hot tap in bathroom was too hot
No air conditioning
Good breakfast
Loud due to a wedding and smell of fish everywhere, spa was not a real spa, bedrooms super hot and noisy fan didnt help.
Breakfast was a disappointment. Staff were more interested in clearing tables than replenishing the breakfast items. There was no bread suitable for toasting.
Better attention to the food items that needed refilling
I have stayed in the external possible barn conversion rooms and in the main hotel rooms. All are spacious and nice the stay in. The rooms in the main hotel are more modern in appearance. I’ve never had a room I didn’t like (6-7 business trips).
Beside the rooms, the gym is good for a hotel with a range of cardio, weight and cable machines, free weights and a weightlifting platform. There is a swimming pool but not used - it looks nice though.
The restaurant is beautiful but as I travel alone I choose to eat in the less formal bar downstairs. Food is great and on this menu and breakfast is a good hit and cold buffet.
The grounds are beautiful as it is a well maintained golf course. I like to walk of an evening and although the hotel is on a dual carriageway into Coventry there are walks out behind the hotel and over into Allesley Park.
All in all a nice place to stay for anyone on a works or social trip
On a recent trip they have started charging for parking. After a few years of staying here the £5 a night fee was not something I was aware had been implemented. I understand it would be reasonable for day guests just using the golf course but as the hotel is not in the ‘cheap’ bracket I am not sure it should apply for overnight guests - just my opinion and something to consider when sticking with on a works budget for overnight stays
Beautiful place
Very good, very welcome professional staff
It was our first time staying here but we would definitely stay again. Our room was lovely, bed was ok, pool was a little dated but nice, some of the staff were really nice, Sunday morning was rudely interrupted by the two young lads on reception talking and laughing loudly outside at 6.30am while vaping, just lack of experience ( common sense ) I suppose.
The location is great rooms clean
It was in its high 20’ outside. When we got to the room it was a sauna, bathroom heating red hot so the room was well overheated, no air con apart from a fan that circulated the hot air, no top sheet to cover only a quilt. Windows only open a few inches. Called staff to turn the heating off but really didn’t have a clue. Always been terrible pillows on the beds everytime I’ve stayed.
Breakfast was awful dried out or stewed ended up with toast.
The rooms were very well presented and practical, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel grounds were very well looked after
There are no disabled changing facilities in the spa/pool.
At check in they couldn't find my payment and at breakfast they also didn't have me down as booked or paid even though I had done it at check in, had to prove I had with a receipt
Service and accomodation
Food including dinner and breakfast was lovely.
Very minimal lighting in the rooms as only 2 lamps, no proper window in the room only a skylight, very hot with no way to control heating.
Nice outlook on to the golf course
Pool closes early and not open until 9, so I was unable to use this which was disappointing.
The breakfast was very standard and bar food overpriced.
Room was ok standard, but slightly overpriced compared to others I’ve stayed in
