Las Arenas is one of the best hotels I’ve stopped in. We couldn’t find a single downside to the hotel. We were met warmly at reception, easy check in, luggage taken to our room, shown to our lovely clean room with a view of the pool and terrace. We were bed and breakfast so can’t comment on dinner but if it’s anything like breakfast it’ll be great. Loads of fresh fruit and pastries, cereal and the standard full English items , bacon , sausage , eggs etc and pots of coffee and fresh fruit juices. It was mostly older couples when we were there, although a few younger families with kids, but it was still a very quiet and relaxed atmosphere. People still tend to grab sunloungers and place towels on them as soon as they open at 9am , but I think there’s enough to go around. It’s very accessible with ramps and lifts to all floors if needed. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful from reception, waiters and waitresses to the cleaners who never stop. Although it had been mentioned about the work on the main road at the front of the hotel, we didn’t find this any different to the normal traffic that you’d expect. The sky bar on the top floor is well worth a visit, but as soon as the sun went down, it could be cold and windy, but it was only early May. Happy hour in the downstairs bar between 5-6 is worth going to with buy one get one free, for hotel guests only. All in all , a great hotel that I would highly recommend.
Recently returned from Las Arenas after a 9nt stay. This hotel never fails to provide a good holiday experience.Have been several times , the staff and facilities are excellent and were given room 708 as requested.Cannot praise the staff enough which makes a stay pleasant and enjoyable.Look forward to returning in September 26 ,well done everyone involved.
I was with a large group celebrating 3 big birthdays and the hotel and staff could not have been more accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Every member of staff was friendly and professional and all had a smile ready for you. It was actually my birthday during my stay and the hotel’s team had left a bottle of cabs and a note with birthday wishes in my room. Thank to everyone involved for that, it was much appreciated. As for a return visit - yes please - this hotel is the best.

Our 2nd stay and hopefully not our last ,pre warned of road works during our stay but not a problem ..
Unfortunately evening entertainment was a bit of a let down 2/3 good night the rest not suitable for this hotel more karaoke with one singer, whilst every one also smoking near front of bar area also on room balcony's whilst everyone is entitled to smoke unfortunfortunately it drifts into the entertainment area and other people's balconies ,my wife and I enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings but had to go into our room due to the smoke .
And just to finish if you go into really crowded areas beware pickpockets operating especially onthe buses i nearly had my wallet taken, police don't want to know .
Have said all of this don't let this put you off visiting this great hotel ,as I said hopefully we will be returning.
It has felt like a privilege to use this hotel for a week. We were one of the youngest couples here, it almost felt like a rich person's retirement home. Room 622 has a great open side balcony view to see the ocean and the mountains simultaneously. Opposite on the building we have been watching a seagull family and their babies which were a little bonus.
The staff work meticulously hard. Hopefully they are paid and praised enough especially the waiters/servants/chefs.
It is beautifully quiet. I think the guests come here to respect one another and understand it is enough to just be without a loud ruckus.
I felt looked after and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Air con machine has made it nice to be in the room. Didn't use the TV but the fast free WiFi has been appreciated.
The shower could do with an excess drain or further glass to stop the water seeping onto the floor but it's overall been great.
The sky bar and floor 7 on the elevator has been a lovely place to get a tan and enjoy a smoothie in the sunshine. Not too loud music.
The cleaners are pleasant and welcoming and reception seem happy to provide a welcoming service.
Free ping pong is available if I recall.
The small bedroom light flickers for future notice occasionally next to the mirror but didn't affect us too much to report it.
I think more coat hangers would help for a couple staying, free water everyday in the room, and access to decaffeinated tea, air conditioning in the aisles outside the rooms, perhaps more magazines and books, more comfortable seating on the balcony, and a higher corner seat in the bedroom could all contribute to an exceptional experience but overall this is not needed and just feedback for the future.
I forgot about the world for a while and felt like I could breathe without stress so you did your job.
As an autistic woman I felt safe and noted how the staff treated everybody with graciousness. I saw the little details of the layout of the hotel and appreciated the cleanliness scent from the wet mopping.
It was pricey but worth the stay.
Our stay at Las Arenas in Benalmádena was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The hotel itself is outstanding, beautifully maintained, exceptionally clean, and clearly run to the very highest standard. Every member of staff we encountered was brilliant, warm, and welcoming, making us feel at home throughout our stay.
A special mention must go to the staff who were amazing with our twin sons. Their kindness, patience, and genuine effort to help entertain and accommodate them made such a difference to our holiday and created memories we will never forget.
We would especially like to give a massive shout out to Natalia and her team for running such a fantastic hotel, as well as Gimena for her exceptional hospitality and care during our stay. The level of service they all provided was second to none.
The hotel is also perfectly located, ideal for visiting the marina and exploring up towards Arroyo de la Miel, making it a perfect base for anyone visiting Benalmadena.
After speaking with other guests who told us they return year after year, we completely understand why. We are already looking forward to returning ourselves next year.
Thank you again to everyone at Las Arenas for the wonderful hospitality and experience.
Just home from a week at Las Arenas as a party of four. We’ve stayed here at least twice before and I must say this stay was even better. Had a lovely room with a side sea view, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and efficient (and quiet) air conditioning. House keeping staff first rate. The food at this hotel is superb, lots of meat, fish and vegetarian options. Buffet style breakfast and dinner, very well presented and food hot and appetising. Great selection of sweets and cheeses for afters. Breakfast is also a treat and good coffee. Staff in the dining room are excellent, so friendly and work really hard clearing tables - everything is kept so clean. The bar is well stocked and the staff are brilliant in there. There is entertainment in the downstairs bar every evening but you can just sit outside or in the lobby area and relax too. There is a TV in the bar showing lots of sports. The Sky bar is lovely with greet views although it was a bit breezy when we were there so we tended to stay inside. Management should be really proud of the staff at this hotel, without exception friendly, helpful and professional throughout- a great team.
Only slight criticism there is a lovely pool with lots of sunbeds but the clientele tend to put the towels on first thing with the consequence that we couldn’t get a bed at all. No matter we went across the road to the beach where 2 beds and a brolly for the day is €16, two nice beach bars to choose from and good toilet facilities. However management should move towels from beds that are unoccupied to give everyone a chance to sunbathe.
So great location, good food, reasonably priced, excellent staff - we’ll definitely come back.
