Palette Resort Myrtle Beach

Parking is horrible, rooms are runs down, elevators barely work , extremely hot in the hallways. Many areas of the hotel was just filthy. Price for room was ridiculous for the hotel.

Don't fall for the recent renovations pictures, it was one of the very bad, unclean hotels we stayed ever... I had to change rooms and upgrade to suite just to get away from smoke smell in the rooms. The entire floor was reeking of smell. The kitchen didn't have any cutlery, vessels or even spoons or paper napkins, all cabinets were empty, old and broken...very old coil stove which was completely unclean. The beds were not made, not sure if they were even cleaned or changed sheets. We had bought our own sheets that helped. The bathroom was old and faulty faucets, the flush wasn't working properly it was old and dirty and the bathroom door was not closing or bolting. we had almost decided to move to a different hotel... But night we bit the bullet and stayed. They need to really look into cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel. The pool was stinking, with stuff floating not cleaned...rusted out... There is no spa or gym, the gym didnt have a door and it was closed with all the construction material and rubbish dumped in it... We are very disappointed with this hotel stay.

The beach access is not well maintained, the wooden steps are broken and showers need maintanance.

We should have taken heed after seeing so many bad comments. We had 3 suits booked, each was worse than the other. The entire family is sick since we returned from the stay. I hope management takes note of this pay attention to renovating the hotel and cleaning and sanitary.

No breakfast, didn't expect the boxes and things in the dining and sitting area bar wasn't open a little cluttered for my liking

They were remodeling

The manager Sholanda was so rude! The hot tub wasn't working, the air conditioner in the room didn't work, the refrigerator in the room barely worked.
They was also doing renovations to the hotel. All we heard all day & night was banging! I understand the hotel needed remodeling, but it would've been nice to know ahead of checking in that that was taking place, so we could've made the decision to go elsewhere.
We checked out the next morning and found a better hotel!
I asked for a refund, booking.com sent the paper over for the manager (Sholanda) to sign to give me my refund. She said she was sending it back to them, so they could get the process started, but she never did! Just shady. I guess she needed the sales! I had to finally claim a dispute with my bank to get my money back.

Alles was in slechte staat. De kamers waren echt aan renovatie toe, net als de rest van het hotel.
Parkeren kan niet bij het hotel, maar op openbare parkeerplaatsen die dan wel weer dichtbij zijn en ‘gratis’ zijn.

Very disappointed , door broke?, phone broke , no Wi-Fi, coffee pot broke no hot water

Not clean. Carpets are old and stinky smell. Floors are sticky. Tv doesn't work. Bath tub handles broken. Smoke smell. Stove doesn't work. Not enough parking.

The cleanliness. The bed. The smell.
