Apartment was clean, comfy and modern. Staff (both in reception, cleaners and at the pool) were brilliant and very helpful when needed. Good location - restaurants and bars within walking distance, beach less than 5 minutes. For the price, 2-bedroom apartment was excellent.
Could be noisy with other groups entering/exiting the buildings. There was no lift to upstairs floor which wasn’t an issue for us but worth being aware of.

As we were a group of 12, it would have been nice to be located close to each other, we had a 5 minute walk to meet some of our friends.
Location was ideal for everything we wanted. The accommodation was clean and reasonably modern. All required kitchen items available.
The wardrobe in the second bedroom smelled musty and had a distinct urine odour, to the point that no clothes could go in there and the spare blanket and pillow could not be used. Bath towels are very small, take your own if you like to wrap yourself in them to move from bathroom to bedroom, as no privacy will be obtained.

Another amazing stay at quinta pedra, been coming here for years & will continue to return. Rooms are spotlessly cleaned (tad dated) but doesn't concern us. Pool area amazing & such a relaxing place. Staff so understanding with any issues & are so friendly 😀

The rain
I read most of the reviews of this place before booking on trip advisor and I couldn’t work out why it was so varied in opinion, then I got there and totally understood! First of all, if you want to lounge by the pool, don’t get an apartment it’s not poolside, you need to cross the main street to get into the hotel area, get a hotel room!
For what you paid for, this is satisfactory (I don’t think I’ve ever been in an apartment abroad with an integrated dishwasher and washing machine ha). The rooms are spacious; the housekeepers kept the apartment nice and clean. The staff had good communication, they rang you when your room was ready at check in (4pm). But there are snags so if you’re pernickety it’ll annoy you, eg for every 3 lightbulbs in the room, 1 doesn’t work. The door handles are temperamental.
In summary, this place has so much potential, the location is good and it’s functional for a little impulsive break away but I would recommend going hotel rather than apartment if I was going back again, just so I don’t have to listen to the hotel across the road crucifying ‘sweet Caroline’ every night; you’ll get a pool as well!
