I am so grateful for everyone who made my experience what it was! Special thanks to Austin and the rest of the valet team for their flexibility and attentiveness in getting my car in and out in a timely matter.

My family and I came to San Diego for a weekend and we decided to book to Tower 23. Let me tell you, it was an amazing experience! The hotel was right on the beach! Easy access to the beach, literally right out the window. The restaurant JRDN was very tasty. 5/5 stars. The room was very clean, customer service made you feel welcomed every time. If I needed an extra towel or anything, they’d respond and be there in a few minutes. Overall I’m extremely pleased with the service, cleanliness and easy access to beach activities. They also had bike rentals as well. Highly recommended for anyone traveling to San Diego to book at this hotel!!!

The best place to stay and dine in Pacific Beach. Tower23 is right on the beach, modern, clean, and the staff could not do enough for you. JRDN, the restaurant, is equal to any New York City dining experience.

The sun deck with the fire pit made our evenings magical.

We will be coming back again and again.

Booked a stay here due to renovations being done at my house and honestly what a great excuse to have a staycation and work remotely by the beach! The ambiance is so relaxing and the hotel is designed and decorated in a way that is welcoming and makes you feel at home (but fancier). The staff were both welcoming/knowledgable and ready to answer any of my questions. In the mornings I got to get my walk in with the sound of the beach waves before starting my work day back in the room. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfy that I almost just wanted to crawl back in, instead of opening my laptop.

I booked this hotel through Capital One Travel and received a confirmed reservation for a King bed, ocean view, with a jetted tub. When I arrived, the hotel assigned me a completely different room: two twin beds, garden view, and a standard shower.

The front desk insisted that this was “what Capital One booked,” but they were unable to show any documentation to support that claim. Capital One later confirmed the room type on their end and issued me a refund for the downgrade.

Based on this experience, it appears the hotel may not honor room types booked through third‑party agencies. The staff also told me that this “happens often” with Expedia/Capital One and suggested booking directly with them instead — which raises concerns about how they handle Online Travel Agencies reservations.

If you rely on room type accuracy, be cautious booking this property through third‑party sites. My confirmed room was not honored, and the explanation I received was inconsistent.

We stayed in the surf king, with a wonderful balcony and ocean view. All around great location, easy to walk to a lot but otherwise a quick uber. Room was spacious. We flew in to see family in a performance and as it was mostly an in-law visit oriented trip, I asked to have some Prosecco sent to the room upon arrival so we could have a minute to decompress and enjoy the view - they kindly sent it at no cost, which would be indicative of the thoughtful service we received for the entirety. For reference, 40s, couple, no kids, NewYorkers. We also enjoyed some cocktails and nosh at the hotel bar which were great!

We visited for our 10 year anniversary and Tower 23 is a beautiful hotel and we will definitely visit again. We did have some challenges outside of the hotel and Austin in the valet area completely went out of his way to help us in a time of need. He is awesome and should be promoted immediately!!! The whole Tower 23 team has great customer experience as well.

Great location, very nice room, quietest air conditioning in the hotel. I’ve heard for quite a while. Staff was wonderful, especially the valets, and the restaurant was incredible

The staff is very friendly. We felt welcomed and appreciated. Loved the welcome drink. The room was clean and comfortable and had a fantastic view of the ocean. This was our first time staying here, we usually stay in another hotel close by. This place was better priced, quieter and a little smaller (which was better). We loved it and really liked having the restaurant and other places close by.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with kindness and care. I was thoroughly impressed by the staff. We were fortunate that our room was ready early and they also gifted a stuffed animal to my little. The room was fabulous, too. The highlight for me was the huge bathtubs with jets, which mom and little both enjoyed. Location was awesome, close to both beach and great food & coffee. Would highly recommend.

Amazing location, reasonably-priced, and very kind staff. I chose this hotel for the weekend of our engagement, and the staff at Tower23 was so helpful in making it the perfect weekend for us by going above and beyond! I would definitely recommend this hotel, and we will certainly be back.

We had a wonderful time at tower 23 hotel. Great restaurant and location! Our view of the ocean was amazing! We fell asleep to the sounds of the waves breaking in the beach.

Staying at Tower23 was an amazing experience. You cannot beat the location of the hotel, the rooms are great and the patio is a perfect spot to relax. All of the staff are so welcoming, nice, and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

We wanted something boutique and close to the beach—not a big chain—and this place nailed it. It’s literally on the beach; you walk down a few steps and you’re there. The hotel includes bikes, umbrellas, chairs, and boards, so we rode the boardwalk every morning. The best coffee shop and best breakfast spot are right next door.

The restaurant in the hotel is solid, and if you’re into sports, they keep the games on the big TVs. Every employee—from the bartender to the host team to housekeeping—was upbeat and genuinely seemed to enjoy their job. It shows. We met the owner on day one and immediately understood why the place runs as well as it does.

We spent a lot of time on the patio people-watching with a drink, and during the day we lounged on the deck watching surfers. The staff cleans nonstop—they even mop the concrete. There are plenty of food options nearby, and La Jolla is just a short Lyft ride away. No car needed. After checking out the other hotels in the area, this was easily the best location and the coolest spot by far.

Location is not everything, but important! Tower 23 is a very nice hotel (the best in the area) with a great location and a wonderful restaurant. Try the Whiskey Sower.
It was my Anniversary, and the hotel had a bottle of wine in the room on ice at check in, supper nice staff.

Love the location of this hotel but the staff was lovely and made my stay even better …. The views are priceless and the rooms are great and large in size. I walked every day on the boardwalk and that was a treat!

My hubby and I stayed here for a week to celebrate my birthday. We truly enjoyed our stay. The customer service was outstanding. Steven was a gem. Our room was spacious, clean, modern, and well appointed. We had a beautiful view of the ocean and ate breakfast on our balcony while enjoying the gorgeous sunrise. We dined at JRDN restaurant several times (brunch and dinner) and the food was delicious. The hotel is beautiful and in close proximity to other restaurants, shopping, activities. We love Tower23 Hotel and we plan on making this an annual trip/stay. We highly recommend this wonderful property!
