Le Relais Saint Michel

Front desk was fast and helpful. Room had a great view & balcony. Room was very dated. Cracked tiles & stains in carpet. No Ventilation in room unless you open windows allowing mosquitoes inside. Breakfast was just ok. Expected more from the place.

Balcony view great

This is a perfect place to stay for your visit to Mont St Michel. It is the closest hotel to Mont St Michel (about a mile walk) not on the island. Some of it's room and it's restaurant has views of Mont St Michel. Our room was updated and comfortable. It was great to eat breakfast each morning with the view and easy to walk or pick up the shuttle to take us to the island

The hotel itself appears in need of a refresh. The walls and carpet look dirty. There were several stains on our carpet and the room is very dark. The lighting is completely inadequate. The upside though is the room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom clean.

Everything was satisfactory except for the restaurant.

The location of the hotel is amazing: right by a shuttle stop to Mont Saint-Michel, with amazing views from the restaurant, terrace, and some of the rooms. It is also right beside the damn which offers a space to relax and to watch the sunset. We had a garden room with a view of the top of the Abbey and lots of greenery around. The room was large with a nice balcony. The bed was also large (maybe a king?) and comfortable. The hotel is quite dated though, mostly evidenced by the badly stained carpets. The staff in the restaurant were very nice. The ones at the front desk were hit and miss. Breakfast was ok.

Nice hotel, very convenient to Mont Saint-Michel. Good restaurant. Could really use air conditioning during the summer.

Overall a good stay at the Relais. We chose this hotel because we wanted to view Mont Saint Michel from our room. The view did not disappoint. The hotel does seem dated but we were told they were in the middle of renovations. We also arrived an hour early and they did not allow us to check in early. The hotel is located right next to a shuttle to Mont Saint Michel which was convenient.

The hotel, like all others in Mont Saint Michel, is rather dated. Notwithstanding, the location is perfect, rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is good, considering the other options around. The bed was quite comfortable. Overall, given the few choices available in the area, this property is a reasonable choice for a couple of nights, which is enough for you to explore Mont Saint Michel and surrounding areas.

The hotel itself is need of some updates and the restaurant food is just ok and the staff dont seem to like Americans had a small group of 6 and they didn't want to serve dinner to us until i said something about us staying there they said they where closing then I seen that they where open for another hour. But it's the closest hotel to Mont-Saint-Michel and it has a free shuttle that takes you to it .

Very spacious room, and very comfortable bed. It is delightful to be able to see Mont St Michel from the balcony.

This place is the best location possible for Mont St Michel. My 2 bedroom suite was very spacious and had a direct view over the Mont. However the view was cut off at the bottom by a copse of trees. Rooms 202 to 205 would not have this issue.
The restaurant had a short but excellent menu and the food was very good. Breakfasts too were good.
However the physical state of the place was poor. There were many walls and ceilings with holes in them, and a ot of mold and mildew.

We stayed great view of Mont Saint Michel. And it is closest. Super!!!

The location and view were absolutely fantastic. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and we were able to enjoy Mont Saint-Michel throughout our stay. However, we were very uncomfortable to find more than five flies in the room, even though we hadn’t opened the window. We wish all of them had been removed during the cleaning process.

This hotel was our favorite on a trip to Paris and the Normandy area. Spacious! Lots of parking. Beautiful view of Mont Saint-Michel. Lovely buffet breakfast.

The hotel is quite run down with on going renovations. It was clean enough if you don't look too closely. If this hotel was anywhere else, you would be unhappy. But! It has the million dollar view of Mt St Michel. Observing from the deck or dinner table was amazing. We ate dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, which was all very good. Great service!

We had a nice view of Mt St Michel from our window. It is very convenient for visiting the island

NO AIR CONDITIONING OR VENTILATION!!!
Unless you open the door and let the bugs in. Otherwise, a nice hotel with tremendous views of Mont-Saint-Michel.
