Nice place, great location, but would choose somewhere else if staying on weekend due to road noise.
Pros:

Great location and we had a 2 bedroom apartment which was very spacious and well appointed. The resort itself is lovely and clean with friendly staff. We had a view over the pool which was nice and could still see the beach from our room. Great large TV (remote had battery cover falling off which was annoying) and lovely outlook. Tram right out front and although we didn't use it, it is great to have the option. Cavill Ave only 10 minutes walk away.

Cons:

The windows do NOT block out the road noise and it was very difficult to get to sleep. We were on level 7 and were there on a Friday and Saturday night and it was ridiculous. I actually thought my balcony door was open it was that loud. We would not stay here again just for that reason. We had stayed in level 34 for a few nights before that and it was still an issue (not as bad) up there. There is also a LOT of construction nearby which starts from 630am; but the Gold Coast is booming so that will be an issue anywhere! This room was very overpriced given the hotel is quite dated and in need of an update - there are better value rooms in much nicer hotels available, but it is still a lovely place.

although the apartment was large and suited us, the dated appliances were not good and needs upgrading - toaster, oven.
the door handle to one of the ensuites fell off and locked my friend in the bathroom.

So close to everything. The tram stop is right at the door.

Cons:

Only negative which was very minor. On our last night from returning after a big day at magic round in Brisbane, we got off the tram and It was pouring rain. The back gate to the hotel was out of order, we had to navigate the long way to the front door in the pouring rain.
