Clybaun Hotel Galway

We didn't have enough time to explore Galway but enjoyed our stay here. The reception staff was very friendly and handed me a nice free drink that was much appreciated (and needed). The room was very modern and clean with a comfortable bed and good TV. Parking is convenient and right next to the hotel. In a nice section of town and convenient to coffee shops and shopping.

Not great if you are staying here for work. Breakfast is only served from 7:30 and the hoards of tourists makenit difficult to get your breakfast quickly.
The leisure facilities are very good though

Overall really nice place. A bit disappointed the hot tub wasn’t working.

It was a good place to stat except on my 2nd night they had a party the lasted way longer than they stated. The music was so loud in our room we couldnt sleep till way after they stopped. We were not told there was going to be loud music on a weeknight there.

Brilliant experience, clean spacious room, great staff on reception and in the bar. Second time of staying here and I can safely say I will be returning.

Lovely atmosphere in the lobby area, but would suggest a play area for children and also re-configure the changing room for women/children as flight of stairs is difficult to manage to/from the swimming pool and same also need to get through the gym area before/after swim which brings up a safety and privacy issue!

I waited some time before making this review. Our stay boarded on the miserable. Rooms so hot with no ventilation that you cannot sleep. The dining room: while the staff were pleasant and courteous, the meals were simply not good. We spoke to the front desk numerous times about our room and the issues. Instead of rectifying anything, they tried to book us in for an additional night in the same awful room. I do not make it a point to disparage anyone; but, our experience was so disappointing that I would have wanted to read an accurate review before considering booking this establishment. I wish you a better stay than we had.

Great spot for anyone looking to be off the beaten path.

Bar/restaurant in hotel was excellent and beautiful atmosphere. With the downtown festivals going on, it was nice to be in an area with less people. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Galway.

We lived being in west Galway, it was a lovely holiday & we would come back!

We stayed in the superior family room (me, my husband & 5yo little boy) and it was very spacious and clean. Found it very quiet, no ambient noises. Very impressed with the facilities - my little boy loved the pool. He also loved the pancake maker at breakfast. A lot of variety at breakfast. Good parking. Good location for Salthill, Galway City & Connemara. Really needs aircon though - even though we asked for a fan, which they provided, it would’ve been better with aircon and expected from a 4 star establishment.

It was nice and clean. Staff was friendly. Pillows were flat and water pressure was not strong.

The Clybaun was clean, safe, accommodating and had great style in our rooms. Very easy for getting around the area, free parking. Staff were super friendly.

Travelling for business, did not get to enjoy the facilities but the staff were so friendly and accommodating that I would definitely recommend.

Loved it, very clean hotel, staff friendly, food was good, only issue that we had was our television reception is room was bad, tv screen kept glitching, impossible to watch anything with the kids, we mentioned it at reception but wasnt resolved.
Only a small issue, other than that, we highly recommend this hotel.
