Pros:

The rooms are a bit dated, but they were clean and tidy, which made the stay comfortable overall.
The hotel building itself has a unique charm from a bygone era, with plenty to explore, adding character to the experience. The terrace is a real highlight, offering a stunning view.
The evening entertainment was enjoyable and a nice way to end the day.

Conclusion:
A charming historic hotel with some minor drawbacks in the rooms, but overall a pleasant and memorable stay.

Cons:

Although we had arranged a late check-out, we were woken earlier than expected by the porter. This was a little unfortunate, as it slightly disrupted an otherwise pleasant and relaxing stay.

Pros:

Grand is stunning. Would be nice if they gave the rooms a lick of paint but overall it was value for money..I've stayed before and I will stay again

Cons:

I think the rooms looked and felt dated. Just a lick of paint would make them much better

Pros:

Staff were nice , some parts of the building are well kept. Good location.

Cons:

Parts of the building is dirty and old. We we given a room that was filthy and small. We referred to it as the "Harry Potter cupboard under the stairs". The bed was rock hard , the bathroom was disgusting. Mould on the tiles , the drains smelt with no plug cover. The shower rail was black with dirt and the shower head was disgusting. Screws sticking out of the wall, the sink was cracked , pipe to the toilet filthy. The view out of the window was a felt roof covered in dirty rubble , rubbish and weeds. I have photos to prove all this.

Stay in Scarborough
Pros:

The location and staff

Cons:

The lifts were broken and the signs for the stairs in the underground rooms were the wrong way around.

Worst Hotel in the UK
Pros:

There was nothing GRAND about this property

Cons:

I didn’t like anything about this property. Poor Management. False claim on having validation for the NCP parking nearby. Rooms are stuffy, very warm (even with the fan) and not clean at all.
Basic amenities are missing - leaky water kettle, rusty spoons, no hand soap and no coffee powder refills for the following days. For 3 days, I asked them to refill the hand soap multiple times, they didn’t do it till I checked out.
The door slams so hard, once it slammed on my hand and got myself a small cut.
The so called ‘Sea View’ can be renamed to ‘Pigeon Shit’ view!!!

great for an overnuight or weekend stay. fab location, close to station.
Pros:

great location.gand hotel. wonderful views

Cons:

I had an executive room 9on terrace), however the uplighter outside the hotel was by my roo so it never got dark, the curtains were inadequate and the room was bright throughout the night.
Checkin guy was terse and appeared annoyed
breakfast was generic, a dull atmosphere.
decor in communal areas was rough, roomm was nice and clean.
