Great for an overnight stay
Pros:

Venue is in a great location, staff were friendly and check in was straight forward

Cons:

The hotel could do with some cosmetic maintenance. The decor is dated and their are parts of the hotel that is well overdue refurbishment

Pros:

Good location

Cons:

Toilet and running water didn’t work, staff seemed to know it was a continual issue. Only one elevator in operation. Curtains falling down, no air circulation.

Didn't meet our expectations, such a shame
Pros:

Building is beautiful as a whole.

Entertainment wasnt too bad, we enjoyed it.

Breakfast not too bad except sausages.

Main bar empty and unused compared to front entrance area.

Cocktail bar not open.

Games machines not working and out of order in corridors.

Almost empty vending machine for snacks.

Lift to our room very slow and only 1.

Cons:

Came to look for potential venue, unfortunately we felt it long matched the pictures advertised, we felt years out of date.

Checking in and out slow due to queue of visitors.

So so much seagull poo, cant be helped due to protected birds but its all over the windows, building ledges, terrace, entrance. Terrace is very run down and you need to dodge the gull poo from above.

The main ballroom is a beautiful room but you can't look out the window without poo and the ledges are a thick layer of it. If our guests saw it i think they would have said something.

Main entrance seating in reception covered in empty drinks in evenings as not cleared so looks unkempt. We noticed it wasnt fully cleared by the morning either so need more staff.

Room windows need weekly cleaning or something sorting to help keep on top of the poo.

Rooms are tired, ours was covered in dust, exposed wires from broken skirting board in bathroom next to shower! Taps wobbly, smallest tv ive seen in a hotel room so very difficult to watch. Dusty curtains, curtain off the rail, rotten woodwork on outsid eof window that again needs maintenance due to the age of building.

No water for couple hours when we arrived due to leak but we had travelled for 3 hours to get there and wanted to shower.

We paid alot to stay here for 2 nights and are still awaiting a response to an email and some form of refund.

Such a shame, needs some attention and improvements to regain its beauty.
