SpringHill Suites by Marriott Charlotte Airport

Worst experience ever. Late night staff lady super rude and not helpful. Made us pay for a second room because “Marriott” didn’t do it right on their end after knowing we were trying to do a share room. The stress and the rudeness is uncalled for at midnight after traveling all day and missing a connecting flight. See all other reviews on the Marriott app. Stay away from here. The quality of the room was super poor and ugly. Disappointed this is even considered a Marriott. Should have checked reviews before booking. Now I have to wait and see if I even get my points back in a couple of days. Never again.

The back of tbe shower was busted. No toilet paper holder for the tissue, and the phone in the room did not work. VERY DISAPPOINTED!! Should be compensated for our stay

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. We booked here in May ‘25 and found out the room had been cancelled on the way in. 5 of us had to stay in a king room. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and booked again since the hotel offered park and ride service to the airport. When we arrived we were informed that as of today, 10/10/25 at 3:00pm the policy changed to not allow park and ride. We literally called this morning to confirm and were told we didn’t have to pay in advance for parking and it was still allowed. We were then informed that the airport might be full and that would possibly not be an option. We fly out at 6:45 am so our hands are pretty tied. We asked if it would be ok to leave the car and have a family member come in to get it the next day and was told, no. Do not trust this hotel, this is the second time they changed policy/rooms on us on the way in. I can promise there will not be a third time here. Buyer beware.

The room was moldy. The elevator and stairs were covered with stains, and the bathroom sink was stopped up. I had to spray my room with Lysol to get rid of the smell.

Great service and easy to get to from airport.

I want to lead with the fact that the staff was very friendly, but it’s just not enough to make up for the poor physical state of the property. I enjoy staying in Marriott properties, but This is a worn out, subpar hotel experience. The paint is peeling, the fixtures are old and separated from the caulk, there are stains on the carpet, and there is a smell throughout the hotel like moldy wet towels. The air conditioner was loud and rattled all night, the property is next to an interstate and you can hear truck traffic, there are stains in the hallway in front of the elevator that are gross. And it feels super outdated. I don’t think it’s had a facelift in 20 years. It is convenient to the airport with the free shuttle, and the complementary breakfast is average. I would not stay here again unless it undergoes a transformation of the interior and improves the cleanliness. Again, I travel several times a month for work and always stay in Marriott properties and this one does not live up to the Marriott standard in similar price points. Never again.

Nice and clean room with affordable dinning options nearby.

I slept well, I had some issues with items and missing things. Some things was dwelt with. Though their was breakfast, not much of the hot choice was pleasing to my liking. No complaints about staff.

Food was good, rooms were not cleaned ln 4 days, we were told only 2 towels were given to each room

This was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had. The property lacks many basic amenities that a typical traveler expects. While the hotel is conveniently located less than two miles from the airport and offers a shuttle service starting at 5 AM with a small van, and breakfast beginning around 6:30 AM, the overall stay was disappointing.

The room layout felt awkward, as if it had been extended in one direction to add space, making it feel less like a standard hotel room. The front desk staff were neither courteous nor helpful. We had no hot water in the shower, and the only solution offered was to change rooms—a highly inconvenient option, especially when we were staying just one night and were close to checkout.

The hotel's general upkeep appeared poor, and cleanliness was also a concern. Given the price charged, the stay did not feel worth it. We would not recommend this hotel.

This is the dirtiest, poorly maintained place I have ever stayed at. No room service for two night stay. Had to go to desk to get replacement towels, toilet paper and linen for pull out bed. I will say the staff was very nice.

After getting delayed in Charlotte, the airport shuttle was the main draw to this hotel. The shuttle, check-in, and breakfast were exactly what we needed after a stressful end to a day of travel delays.

Check in was great and the staff member was excellent with trying to accommodate our needs. The first room we were in didn’t have hot water so we ask to move. The second was smaller, had hot water, but had mold growing in the bathroom. Overall, not a good experience for just being there a few hours.

Terrible !!!No shampoo, conditioner or body wash liquid in the bathroom. Asked them to put some the second day. The guy at the front said you either get soap or body wash not both and didnt bother putting new shampoo or conditioner either. Terrible breakfast too . Never coming back

Breakfast was nice

I liked that there were suites available to accommodate our large family. The breakfast was a decent hotel breakfast if you like yogurt and appreciate having dried fruit or granola to mix in. The airport shuttle driver was really friendly and accommodating.
