Leaving today. What a fantastic week it has been. From start to finish it’s been great. The food was great catering for everyone. So much choice at every meal. The staff all friendly. The rooms were so clean. Only small thing it would be better with a set of drawers (just being picky but i would have liked more space for clothes) the lifts were fine. No waiting ages for them like other hotels I’ve been in. Can’t complain about anything and would highly recommend this hotel
Siisti hotelli erinomaisella sijainnilla!
We stayed at this hotel for one week from the 10th Feb. This was our first time in Gran Canaria. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, the staff were really welcoming and knew we had never been before. The hotel is lovely, spacious and clean. There's nothing bad we can say about this hotel, we really enjoyed our stay and will look forward to returning the future.
Sika kallis.
Tosi kova meteli illalla, musiikki ja äänet käytäv’ssä todi kovat, huono äänieristys
Vaisu tarjonta allas alueella. Aamiaisella ei edes puristettua tuoremehua eikä hääppönen juusto ja kinkkuvalikoima.
Ei vastaa huoneen hintaa
First stay at Abora Continental Hotel we had a Seaview.Room was spacious and clean. Reception area was bright, spacious and plenty room to relax. Dining are spacious clean staff friendly and polite. Food was good a joice for everyone loved the mixed salads.
Outside area lovely. We sunbathed in the quiet area has music played when activities were on. A nice snack bar. We found the hotel staff helpful and friendly.
We are definitely coming back next year. Thank you all for a lovely stay.
We were unhappy with room they gave us on first floor overlooking bins and motorway, couldn’t sit on balcony or even have door open because of exhaust fumes, did ask to be moved but said they were full. Location was ok plenty to walk to and bars and restaurants, food in restaurant was quite repetitive and mostly cold, the breakfast was best meal with plenty of variety, we did eat out few times, going twice to Angus plaza which was awesome, pool was beautiful and clean but absolutely freezing, entertainment during the day was ok if you were about 10, and evening entertainment was awful, I wouldn’t go back and I wouldn’t recommend going either, but all just my point of view,
We have just returned from a week's holiday 22nd Feb to 1st March. I'd like to say this hotel was very clean with friendly staff. I thought for an all inclusive the drinks were of a good standard although the small glasses for beer is a bit tiresome. The pool areas are clean and tidy as with a lot hotels some areas around the pool are in need of renovation but I can see this is a work in progress. You can hire towels from reception and in a morning reserved sun beds are monitored with towels being removed after half hour of being noticed. Food was plentiful and what you'd expect from a buffet. I always found something. Our room was clean and in good order we had it tidied almost every day and fresh towels. There is a kettle and fridge in the room with a decent hair dryer in the bathroom. Personally I would recommend this hotel and I think anyone who gives it a poor review is not entering into the spirit of a holiday. I don't expect perfection the positives by far outweighed anything negative I could say.
A lovely hotel. Lots of food choices. Friendly animation team. Plenty of staff always cleaning and tidying up. Helpful reception staff.
Ottima sia la colazione che la posizione
Stayed here at The Abora by Lopesan Hotels in Gran Canaria third week of February.
Never been to Gran Canaria before so unsure what to expect for February, but the weather was absolutely fantastic hot every day blue skies better than the rain in the uk.
Our room was on the sixth floor, more or less opposite the lifts which was good. You ever looked the sea, the street and other hotels which was lovely.
The Sun came on the balconies in the mornings at the front of the hotel. There only seemed to be a few rooms overlooking the pool and that was on the first floor. There was no sun around the pool areas till at least 11 o’clock as it was behind the hotel as usual people put out their towels as early as possible but the hotel doesn’t let you go out till 8 o’clock. There is a guy that comes round folds the towels up if you are not there and comes back a little while later and we will remove them but it was only ever done once and that was early morning.
There were two main pools, which were pretty cold for me and her toddlers pool.
The Jacuzzi’s by the trees were closed off due to maintenance, so they were never working for us.
There was an entertainment team that did a few things during the day and shows at night if you like that type of thing.
We had gold bands which was an upgrade so you get free bottles or cartons of water premium drinks bottle of wine at the table which you can take back to your room.
Food was absolutely fine. Did end up getting a little cold because people did just stand around looking at the food and not moving along. Good salad bar selection of fruits cakes, ice cream and sorbets. Snack bar round by the pools and drinks bar did have ice cream but they were payable.
Designated smoking area round the back by the lower pool, no smoking in the rooms or they will fine.
They cleared tables quick enough. Very friendly staff in the restaurant at the bar and also the reception which were very helpful.
Our room was very clean had a decent hairdryer for a change shampoo and conditioners in the shower cubicle. Few little free bees.
Safes are chargeable
At the reception there’s a lot of seating lots of books you can borrow or swap the bar in the lobby only opened in the evening. Also behind the main bar as a refrigerator of sandwiches that we took for the flight back or we’re a bit peckish in the night.
There’s a little cabinet which sells kids hats adult hats a few candles a little backpack for the kiddies very reasonably priced.
Write out the front to the right where the shops will start everything you need you catch the free bus to the shopping mall outside the Bull hotel which is a very short distance walk. Can also catch the normal bus to the Yambo Centre if your walking not great about €1. 25 each one way we got a taxi back at 2 am from there for €5 back to our hotel. The bus station was to the left and over the roundabout from our hotel.
Overall, I definitely say come to this hotel great location plenty to do and I’ll come again to this one.
