We loved our stay at the Patio Suite Hotel! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was a good size for a family and was clean and light. The buffet restaurant was excellent with super options for vegan and vegetarians as well as gluten free. The beach is a short walk away and stunning at sunset from the cliffs.
Just returned home from a week here. Excellent hotel with very helpful staff. Room great size with fully equipped kitchen , we were in room 212 overlooking the pool, the bar is directly underneath so there was a little noise but it didn’t bother us, however not so sure how it would be when hotel at full capacity. Room spotless and cleaned thoroughly each day, the kitchen area was great and the hotel provided dishcloth, sponge, tea towel and washing up liquid as well as a bottle of water each day. There was a good hairdryer, an iron and board and a clothes airer. There could be better lighting in the bedroom and a mirror above the desk would be helpful. -lenticular supply of loo rolls instead of the usual 2 rolls each day! Shower not the greatest but very hot water. Beds very comfortable.
The bar area was good with branded drinks, great cocktails and really nice wine and sparkling wine. The only thing is they still serve you with plastic glasses in the evening which is a pet hate of mine. The entertainment is not great. The bar area serves snacks ie. Pizza, crisps, burgers, sandwiches etc from 4pm if you are all inclusive. The bar staff are very very good and friendly.
The pool area is nice and clean but think in high season you may struggle to find a sun bed. The restaurant is open for breakfast lunch and dinner with really good long opening times, the staff in there are great. I have food intolerances which cause me a lot of anxiety but having spoke to staff on the first day the chef came out and talked to me at length and from then on I chose my meals each day and they were freshly prepared , for me this was such a relief and I can’t thank all the staff and chef enough. Thank you. Waiter service for alcohol but hot drinks, juice, fizzy pop self serve. What I did like is that no matter what time you ate they were constantly refreshing the food so there was always food available.
We hired a car and there is plenty of free parking around the hotel. There is a free shuttle bus but this has to be booked in advance.
On the morning we left the it was early and the restaurant was not open but there was pastries, cereal and drinks available. You can also order a picnic at lunchtime if you are going out and about.
So really great stay at this hotel, would definitely return you will not be disappointed and again all the staff are excellent.
Just back from a great last-minute five nights at The Patio Suites. I was travelling on my own with my two boys (9 and 7) and I wanted an easy all-inclusive in the sun and this definitely fitted the bill.
Transfers were quick and easy from Faro airport. The hotel is on the outskirts of Albufeira, a short walk from shops and restaurants. We didn’t intend on going very far so location wasn’t a massive concern for me and I didn’t hire a car for this reason. You might want to if you wanted to explore a bit.
The ground floor of the hotel has clearly been recently refurbished and is done really well. Open, fresh, modern, stylish and comfortable, with various different ‘lounge’ areas with comfortable chairs and sofas.
There are two pools - one enormous, beautiful pool surrounded with trees (but open enough not to be shaded unless you wanted it) with smalller plunge pool next to it. We would have loved to spent time here but it was too cold at this time of year (April) for the boys - it’s next to the small kids club areas, an outside play area, snack bar, pool table, table football etc, so an ideal base with kids. The other pool (other end of hotel) is much smaller with a nice grass area, but crucially is heated a little, so was the perfect temperature. It’s also next to the cafe where inclusive snacks are served so this was a bonus. It’s very chilled and overlooked by pool-view rooms. Sunbeds were plentiful but you needed to be quick in the mornings to get a good spot! There’s a nice outside shady cafe terrace overlooking the pool area here.
The rooms (we were on 2nd floor pool view) are super spacious. There was a small kitchen area (we didn’t use it), dining table and chairs, and lounge areas with sofa (bed) and two comfortable chairs. We had a nice balcony with chairs and a table. The bedroom and bathroom are spacious, plenty of storage and all really clean. I would say the upstairs is definitely a bit dated, perhaps the refurb will happen there at a later date? One point - out room overlooked the pool/bar area which was a really nice outlook but did get noisy in the evenings. It didn’t massively bother us but might some.
Food-wise, there was definitely something for everyone and all-inclusive worked well for us (we did eat out on the last night for a bit of variety). Lots of fish/meat options, loads of great salad options, pizza bar at lunch and dinner, and plenty of pudding options (including fresh fruit). The only thing I would have liked to see more of would be veg options for kids - broccoli/peas/carrots. Breakfast was a highlight for me, loads of typical pastries/cereal/continental/english breakfast options, but also plenty of healthy things like nuts, seeds, superfoods etc. kids loved the pancake machine but it only seemed to be on every other day…
The kids literally played in the pool with new friends all day, so it was a very easy trip. Kids-club wise I would say it was definitely geared up to younger kids, but I also understand it was a really reduced programme - others said there were more activities later in the season. It didn’t matter for us. The other thing was that the shuttle bus to the beach doesn’t run at this time of year - you can walk but we didn’t.
An absolute highlight for me was the service. At front desk and in the restaurant the service was exceptional. One of the team leaders in the restaurant (Sao?) went above and beyond with my kids (and everyone else’s) - when I thanked her at the end of the holiday she said she was simply doing her job, but that she absolutely loved it and took pride. That shone through and made the experience for us. Front desk were really helpful with queries and interacting with children - you definitely got the sense that family was important to them.
It was a slightly odd mix of guests. Some families (I imagine lots would have done to bigger resorts with more kids stuff - not our vibe), lots of groups of golfers (there for breakfast/dinner, out golfing all day), and then lots of groups of ‘young’ adults who I think were using a sports training facility nearby? It was at capacity so felt busy at mealtimes but chilled during the day round the pool.
All in all exactly what I was looking for - relaxing, easy and comfortable break in the sun 🙏🏻☀️.
Tout était parfait,hotel au top,trés propre .
Le personnel trés serviable.
L appartement tres bien amenagé avec toutes les commodités.
Il est situé non loin de la plage de Falésia, une des plus belles d Algarve
This was my first experience of an all inclusive/ resort style holiday, travelling with two young children. We picked it because it was out of town and didn’t have big water slides in the photos etc. Reviews on trip advisor said there wasn’t much to do for teenagers- ideal, I thought!! On holiday we want a peaceful time, bed by 10pm, no loud music/ shouting by the pool. We had the Best time. The first week of April was 26 degrees and sunny every day, the hotel wasn’t very busy yet. The restaurant was beautiful, the food was fantastic- my favourites were the sea bass, grilled chicken, duck, the many mixed/ chefs salads, the pizza was excellent and we all loved it. It was all very classy. Not rows and rows and rows of every world cuisine, but a fab extensive collection of dishes to suit all ages/ wants. We loved being able to book onto the shuttle buses via WhatsApp, so easy, same as making requests for the room etc. We spent days at the beach at Albuferia (busier, still lovely, So so many shells) and also got an uber the 5 mins to the beach Falésia (beautiful beach). We spent afternoons by the square baby pool with the little adventure play area (my two loved both). The staff were all excellent- I’ve read reviews here saying they were grumpy- personally I don’t need staff to smile like goons at me, just be professional and do their jobs (as I do mine as an NHS junior doctor) and everyone I spoke to was polite, professional and effective (fab!). Overall it was a peaceful, extremely clean, classy place and we will probably come back. There are always downsides to everywhere you go- the downsides here were the heated pool was absolutely freezing- my kids were so looking forward to swimming and it was simply too cold for them to get in (they’re quite brave about stuff like that). They liked splashing in the 50cm baby pool instead. The other thing is we chose for the kids to sleep in the bedroom and my partner and I to sleep on the sofa bed- these are awful, just a 3/4 inch mattress with the springs very evident through it. As per reviews here I asked for toppers to go on it, and that made it manageable, but it was still really uncomfortable. Sleep on holiday is so important so this was a huge shame. It’s the one thing that would stop us booking again. Having said that, everything else was so excellent, maybe it wouldn’t!
Thanks to all the staff at the hotel, a wonderful family holiday.
Very clean hotel, all staff helpful, polite and very welcoming. Would highly recommend.
Food is of a good standard.
It’s a good, modern hotel. The Housekeeping team do a great job of keeping the rooms clean. The staff are very friendly and were very helpful.
The best part about the hotel is the food. The range is limited compared to other hotels but the quality is very good. There is a good variety and even our fussy kids enjoyed the food.
The bar staff
The hotel is on the smaller side and there aren’t a lot of activities for older kids.
Excellent stay! The staff is just great. So hard working and friendly. We have no complaints or any bad experiences. Food is great so is the hygiene and the homely feel in the hotel.
Friendly team of staff that provide great service, very clean and well maintained. Had a lovely stay over Easter and would highly recommend for families.
Pools very chilly
We have just returned from a week at the Patio Suite Hotel, and we couldn’t fault it.
Rooms: we have stayed in hotels where the 3 of us are all in one room and I always feel a little claustrophobic. But the apartments here are huge! Lots of space for a family of 3 or 4 in the 1 bed apartments. They are furnished to a high standard too. We chose a pool room and were slightly worried there would be noise from the pool and activities in the bar but you couldn’t hear a thing with the windows closed.
Food & Drink: we were slightly apprehensive as this was our first all inclusive as a family. But after reading such good reviews we took the plunge. The food was absolutely delicious, and hugely varied. No two days were the same and there was a huge range of salads, meat and fish dishes, as well as kids meals like chicken nuggets and fish fingers. There was also free pizza in the bar every afternoon which was appreciated. The drinks selection was great too, and the wine was spot on.
Staff: couldn’t have been more helpful. The bar and waiter staff were so attentive and came to check on us several times during meals to check we had enough drinks. Nothing was too much trouble.
Atmosphere: we weren’t looking for the ‘typical big loud all inclusive’ so this was perfect for us. It felt quiet despite it being Easter Holidays, there were some activities on an evening like a live band and quiz, but again felt very chilled rather than the ‘cringe’ entertainment you sometimes get. There were a range of activities for kids too but probably more aimed at children under 10 so we didn’t do these. There was a really nice mix of guests - families, couples and older guests on golf holidays.
Cleanliness: the hotel is absolutely spotless. My son spilled a drink in the bar on a lunch time, I went to get some towels to clean it up but the staff were there within seconds doing it.
Location: it is slightly out of the way from other hotels in the region, but uber and bolt are readily available and all the main activities (marina, vilamoura, zoomarine, aquashow, old town etc) were less than a 30 min drive and about €10-15 in a taxi.
Value: we got an incredible deal on Jet2.com, and it cost less than £1,800 for 3 of us, all inclusive in school holidays. Flights, luggage, hotel and transfers.
If you’re contemplating booking, you won’t regret it!
My friends and I chose to say at the patio for our first group holiday and we had a wonderful time, the food was prepared well and there was a variety of different dishes each day. The bar served a good range of drinks and mocktails that were delicious and the staff were all very friendly and helpful! The hotel itself was very clean and well kept with different arenas to relax in and play games that were provided. On one of the days we enjoyed a wine painting experience with Melissa that was absolutely wonderful and lots of fun. The pools are a good size and one is heated so we could swim when it was a bit colder and still be comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the nearby beach (aproxx 10/15 min walk) and it is beautiful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning in the future x
This is the fourth year in a row we've been to this hotel and we just can't really fault the overall experience. The staff are a high point and make us feel really welcome. It's a large part of why we return each year. The range of food available is always fresh, even when the restaurant is busy. The facilities are perfect for what we needed as a family, being a small hotel in a quiet area.
Pomocna i miła obsługa.

The Patio Suites is an amazing hotel to stay in. Everywhere was super clean. Room was spacious and comfortable. Restaurant - food was delicious and enough choice that there was something for everyone. Drinks at bar were fab and many branded drinks available for all inclusive stay. Although we didn't use pools, the areas were again very clean and well maintained. Amazing place to stay. Would definitely stay again.
Everything was amazing!
