Extremely disappointed for the price.
Pros:

Location was great.

Cons:

Closet doors fell off the rail
Toilet bowl chain corroded so much I had to manually flush toilet by taking lid off tank and pulling chain.
No cups or coffee maker
Free breakfast had no fresh fruit or protein…Sunny delight juice and one kind of cereal and sugar based pastries cut into quarters. No staff until 10:00 a.m. and the phone number provided had a full mailbox.

Hôtel de Charme à rénover.
Pros:

Un petit hôtel bien placé car pas loin du Pier. Ancien bâtiment avec beaucoup de charme. La décoration est originale. Mais l'hôtel aurait besoin d'un bon coup de fraîcheur et surtout, surtout d'une bonne isolation. Entre les bruits de la rue, les discussions des hôtes dans le jacuzzi le soir tard et les douches matinales très très bruyantes des chambres à côté, il est très difficile de se reposer. Je n'ai jamais dormi dans un hôtel aussi bruyant. Dommage! Par contre les muffins et le café du petit-déjeuner étaient délicieux.

Cons:

Le bruit de la rue tôt le matin et surtout le bruit des douches et portes des hôtes est très très désagréable. Les 2 chambres, que nous avons réservées, auraient bien besoin d'un lifting, et en plus vu le prix des nuitées. Hôtel très mal entretenu.

A gem in the rough.
Pros:

The property is unique, eclectic and has a certain museum "je me sais quoi" flare. Mixed art decor but functional. The location is absolutely stunning and one can forget about the "aged" factor of the unit, just by walking outside and going straight to the beach.

Cons:

No expresso makers, the breakfast area is small and not very practical. The breakfast itself is very minimalistic. All of the windows and covers in our room were broken and in need of repair. The heater did not work well and the thermostat was almost hidden behind a piece of furniture.

It was perfect
Pros:

It was VERY clean, organized and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable. The whole feel of the place was very "Santa Barbara"! And only 1 block from State Street and the ocean. We had a GREAT time!

The location is perfect and the style looks pleasant. The staff was caring, professional and tried their best to assist us with the issues we had.

Cons:

Unfortunately due to the low quality of attention to detail, there was no window curtain in the bathroom making anyone shower completely revealing. I had to wait almost 3 hours just to receive a cardboard to cover up the entire window. The annoying part was waiting for others complaints in the property also needing assistance with the poor quality of room they were expecting. This included other guest having to ask and wait for heaters, towels, false advertising of what rooms provided. Only one worker was left to handle all check ins and assist with any issues.
