Great staff, great breakfast facilities.
Some fixtures need some tlc, wallpaper coming away at the top near the ceiling, mould in grout and silicone around shower screen. Couldn't sleep due to noise on the main road where we were placed. Cars with loud music, people shouting in the street, vans and lorries with flashing light like a disco in our room.
Comfortable, clean, great location and lovely staff
Charme d’un hôtel ancien mais très bien équipé.
Petit déjeuner au top. Personnel très agréable. Je recommande vivement.
The hotel, the food, the situation.
Breakfast was exceptional.
The pub was so handy to relax at the end of a busy day along with food that was beautifully cooked and tasty.
The situation was excellent. Easy to walk to.many well known places but also so.many stations in a short distance to easily use public transport.
The staff were all lovely and really helpful.
Looking forward to returning
Nothing.
Breakfast service was erratic. Staff was not well trained or supervised.
Great location, so close to South Bank and walkable to train station.and theatres, Bus services very close. Room was comfortable, spacious, bright and warm. Shower and bathroom very good. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Food was ok for evening meals - pub grub, but the breakfast was better, plentiful, nutritious and varied, cooked to order if you wanted it. We'll stay here again when in London, definitely!
Nothing. Oh, except there was only one chair in the bedroom, one of us had to sit on the bed!
Great location. Room was a good size with free water, tea and coffee.
I liked the Mad Hatter Theme & reading about the history of the building Breakfast buffet was very good and the selection of cooked options. Tea,coffee making in the room. Water & milk in the fridge.
Décor a bit out dated
Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Although the coffee is not fresh brewed and it was cold.
The hot water for the tea tasted of coffee and that was cold too
The pub food was poor. It came 5 mins after ordering.
The hotel states the reception is manned through the night but this is not the case. It closes at 11pm. Therefore if you are later back you get locked out.
We had the best time at The Mad Hatter! We were booked in for 6 nights and loved them all. The staff was AMAZING! Super friendly and engaging. All the food was delicious, wonderful variety to suit every taste, and vegetarian/ plant based options. The pub- so nice to have a sweet and lively, but not at all rowdy, pub right downstairs after a busy day out.The bar was well stocked with wine to bourbon to porter. The housekeeping staff was super! The room was really comfortable (larger than I was led to believe central London hotels would be), stocked each day with great coffee and tea and biscuits, great towels and fabulous robes to wrap up in. Thank you Robbie for running such a great hotel, and thank you Luke and Sammy for chatting with us and helping us find our way in your city.
I cannot say enough great things about The Mad Hatter. Terrific location: a block from Black Friars bridge, train station, and underground, three blocks from Southwark Underground station, a block from the walk along the Thames and all there is to do there. We definitely highly recommend it.
Perfect location, great staff, nice food!
Vriendelijk personeel. Zowel bij de receptie, bar als huishouding. Super lokatie. Alles is schoon maar dan ook echt schoon.ontbijt is dikke prima. Wij komen zeker terug!
