Old world feel with a warm welcome
Pros:

The location and the old world ambience of the hotel. Great room, excellent bathroom and a very private location in the hotel.

Cons:

Some of the building needs a some updating, but nothing that would deter you from staying!

Beautiful old hotel
Pros:

Beautiful old building out front. Rooms at rear in an unattractive large rear extension but rooms themselves were fantastic. A good and tasty buffet breakfast.

Lifts are claustrophobic and dated

We were Here to attend a family funeral and the hotel was good enough to allow us to leave the car in their car park aft
Pros:

Nice room and en-suite. Good restaurant and very nice food at reasonable prices.

Cons:

Unfortunately we had a room facing the road. Traffic was very noisy and we were woken up at 6am by the noise. Secondary double glazing made no difference and room was very warm as we were unable to open the windows due to the noise. However my sister also stayed here and had a room at the back and was not disturbed at all. Luck of the draw!

Will stay again!
Pros:

Excellent! Brand new rooms completed less than 3 weeks ago. Had a lovely, clean, quiet nights sleep. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Cons:

Brekkie on Saturday starts at 8, we had to leave at 7:30 so sadly missed this.

Uncomfortable beds and heat
Pros:

Lovely building - clean room and nice bathroom

Cons:

The bed was awful - awful nights sleep - room way to hot - no fan or air con - it archway to get to the carpark is tiny and very tight in bigger cars just for awareness

Good location

Cons:

Our first room had dirty pillows and the room wasn't clean so we requested to move rooms. The 2nd room also had stained bedding.. Not nice.. The carpets in both rooms were so dirty we didn't want to walk on it without shoes on. The shower was blocked and the breakfast was basic. We wont be rushing back!

As we there only 2nights still enjoyed ,even though at 10pm in night we had to go down to reception to complain .
Pros:

Excellent location,lovely building ,lovely furniture inside .

Cons:

Was very disappointed to get back to room after being out all day to find ,bed not made,no toilet paper or milk for us ,room hadn’t been touched ,no clean towels,
Very bad for a hotel of this quality.
