MVC Eagle Beach

Location and staff

The hotel is a two story "motel" right across from Eagle beach. The rooms are small. When we first checked in, the strong smell of cheap cleaning products was overwhelming. We had to open all windows and doors. Since that did not help, I found a cleaning lady and asked her to please just mop the floor with plain water. That helped. The toilet flush needed to be pressed for a few seconds otherwise the flush was not fully completed. Also, the shower water kept going from warm to cold several times during a shower.

The bath towels were tidy white but they had a musty smell, same with the linen. The washcloths were not tidy white, they were almost beige from the continued used. There is a small fridge inside the unit. I found a small roach crawling on the bathroom sink in the morning. The pool was tiny, is a pool to sit and cool off, not to swim. There are palapas and beach chairs available for free across the street

The breakfast consists of a tray with pre determined items. No changes. No options. So if you have any dietary restrictions. Tough luck. Orange juice muffin croissants ham cheese white toast fruit bowl.

Overall, not a great value. Not a place I would return. Also if you get a room on the second floor, there is no elevator, just a Helix type metal stairway, so if you have mobility issues, that might be a problem. Free parking in the back.

Excelente trato del personal! Amparo nos servía el desayuno un amor de persona, Ani y Lisset en recepción super amables . El lugar está muy bien ubicado , en frente a la playa . Te dan tosllones para la playa y las Reposeras

The best part about this hotel by far is the location directly across from Eagle Beach. Unfortunately the facilities and overall experience were far below expectations. The hotel is old and in need of repair and maintenance. It seems to attract large numbers of smokers who sit outside their rooms and other areas in close proximity to nonsmoking guests like us who were constantly being exposed to second hand smoke, which is a documented health hazard. When we brought this to the attention of staff, they basically shrugged their shoulders and said they couldn’t do anything about it. This was unacceptable. The hotel should state on their website that they allow smoking. We would have stayed elsewhere had we known that.

Localização excelente, em Eagle Beach, bem silenciosa, praia linda,
a Equipe nos recebeu muito bem, mesmo de última hora, guardou nossas bagagens enquanto não poderíamos fazer o checkin, e pudemos ir passear tranquilamente.
O quarto é antigo mas muito confortável, cama boa, ducha boa, e tivemos um upgrade para um quarto que seria para uma familia, (dois quartos com um banheiro compartilhado).
Frigobar, cofre, armário e amenidades no banheiro da Aloe Aruba, que gostamos bastante pela hidratação :D
As estiradeiras e cadeiras, ficam disponíveis, mas até as 17hs, se quiser ficar para o por do sol, vai ter que chegar antes disso.

This was our 5th annual vacation at MVC. We are fans. Staff members are cheerful and helpful. Room is comfortable and clean. Beach with chairs is across a small street and it is clean and beautiful.
Our only criticism is the breakfast has remained the same and staying for 11 days is quite monotonous. Every day is the same tray.
