Abora Buenaventura by Lopesan Hotels

Just finished our 2nd holiday here in consecutive years, and we’ve had a lovely time on both occasions. We’ve even booked for next year!

Lovely members of evening bar staff including Yudith & Kathleen, as well as all staff at pool bar.

Our daughter attended kids club every day and was well looked after & entertained by Sophie, Janina & friends.

Can’t wait for next year!!

The food- although there’s a huge variety. We unfortunately found the quality quite poor overall.
The rooms - clean enough, not quite to my expectations for a 4 star hotel. Quite basic, beds aren’t very comfortable. We booked a family room which is meant to come with a selection of games, a mascot toy and a play tent. It came with ONE abacus (wouldn’t class that as a game?), a pop up play tent and after complaining we had no mascot toy, we were given a very cheaply made drawstring bag with the mascot printed on it. So if you’re going with children and booking the family room expecting a selection of games or a games basket, lower them as you only get a pop up tent and an abacus.
The playground was closed our entire visit (10 days) and wasn’t ever told to us upon arrival, so a main facility we were hoping to have was closed off.
I won’t be recommending this hotel to anyone as I wasn’t overly impressed. I think their 4 star rating should probably be lowered to a 3.
We had an incident at the pool where the umbrella broke apart and splintered hitting my partner (thank god it wasn’t our 4 year old) the staff didn’t seem too bothered by this when I took the broken wood to reception and no one came over after to check even though I was assured maintenance would be over to sort this.
I’ve complained and had a blanket email sent apologising but no real response to what I’ve said and felt quite blunt.
The location is quite good, a short walk to the beach, and good restaurants as well as taxis readily available to take you to wherever you need to go. We spent quite a lot of time away from the resort due to all of this to be honest.

Excellent value, room size, quality and amenities.
Booked a cheap and cheerful getaway that turned out to be a brilliant find.. staff are really helpful. Lots of food to choose from and everywhere is spotlessly clean. The room size is great, entertainment in the pool and evening is really good.fantastic value for money. Lots of local restaurants and bars for great food for a change from the all inclusive option.

Location in Playa del Ingles had good transport links to many destinations and large market on Wednesday/Saturdays with a lot of local bars. Room was very clean and regularly cleaned with big balcony even if not a lot of sun reaches it still nice to have although beds separate with no locking mechanism so they don’t move. Relatively quiet at the time we visited and sun beds easy to get without rushing. Service was good but very very eager to take away plates and drinks even if clearly not finished 😂 Food was on the whole great with some really tasty options, could be a tad fish orientated at times and lack of desert options but pleased with it 95% of the time. Absolutely pile alcohol into mixed drinks so good value on that front. The only negative was the reception service. Major lack of communication and detail on check in such as towel hire and check out procedures and big queues whenever needed even if not busy hotel at the time. However, does not take away from the fact we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend.

Our stay at the hotel was quite mixed. Unfortunately, my partner was served raw chicken, which was a serious concern. When we reported it, the staff said they had checked the rest of the chicken from the same batch and found no issues, but this did little to reassure us after the experience.
The food in general was disappointing, with very limited options available throughout our stay. Housekeeping was also lacking, as our bed linen was never changed.
On a more positive note, the pool area was clean and well maintained. There was an issue with guests reserving sun loungers for long periods by leaving towels on them, but staff did step in and remove unattended towels, which helped make the loungers available to others.
The staff were generally lovely and polite, and most interactions with them were pleasant. However, the issues with food quality and housekeeping meant that overall the experience did not meet expectations.

Good morning everyone.
We have just returned from a 11 night stay at the Abora Buenaventura. There was myself and my husband on holiday with our two grown up sons and their partners. The hotel is brilliant for both families and just adults too . It is a very large hotel with 2 pools on either side of the hotel with a number of smaller pools for children , plenty of sun beds, absolutely no problem at all getting a bed . There is also a splash park and play area too for children . Lovely grounds with plenty of sunny and shady areas . There is also 2 shops , 2 arcades and a hairdresser on site . The restaurant is lovely as well , plenty of choice and variety. There is also a snack bar opened from 11am till 11pm every day , also plenty of bars to get a drink , hot, cold , soft and alcoholic drinks available The rooms are spacious, very comfortable beds , plenty of wardrobe space and massive showers, maid service every day with clean towels left each day and beds made each day . The staff are very friendly and helpful. The entertainment programme is very good, something going on at the pool all day and the evening entertainment is very good for children, as we are all adults we tended to use the bar behind reception, there was a singer in the bar most evenings which was excellent . This hotel is fantastic for both adults and family holidays . All in all a brilliant hotel for everyone .

La verdad estuve 1 hora esperando en recepción pague una cantidad de dinero considerable para tan poco, la verdad no me gusto la estancia ni lo que ofrecen, no volveria.
