Staff exceptional room excellent
Location could do with shuttle bus taxis so expensive
Good location, but away from the hustle of Sorrento. 5 mins walk to station and some great local restaurants and bars locally. Overall a pleasant stay with a lovely room.
Some of the staff were somewhat officious and surly, however others were extremely pleasant and welcoming - especially the rooftop bar guys.
A confusing and inconsistant pool towel policy was observed with other guests complaining and being charged for fresh towels - seemed a bit off for a hotel charging so much.
Poolside bar service was very slow with drinks being signed for in advance of service and then a 30 minute wait for them to be delivered.
Breakfast service and options pretty poor for a high end hotel - charge extra for poached egg, omlette or some avocado isn't good when breakfast is included (or in this case partly included). Comparable hotels tend to offer freshly prepared to order options at this price level.
This is a spectacular hotel with modern updated rooms, fabulous balconies and excellent breakfast options every morning. The rooftop bar is absolutely amazing at night!
Nothing to not like! There is a noisy rooster in the area if you sleep with your shutters open. 😀
Trimrom, basseng, rolig og fantastisk personale
Beliggenhet
The dirty Martini rooftop bar was the highlight and the sweet jars in the afternoon.
The walk is an easy flat walk but it is a decent 2km before you get to the centre or turn off to go down to the Marina. So definitely need to be prepared to walk. The beds were hard, but a lot of Europe is like this.
It had clearly been upgraded & refurbished & done well, there were the odd thing incomplete like the balcony light but these are minor things I’m sure will get done before the holiday season. Staff & service were exceptional.
Nothing to comment on, it was very good.
Wunderbare Restaurants und Frühstücksbiffet
Srhr schöner Garten mit Orangenbäumen
Herrloche Dachterrasse mit Bar für den Schlummertrunk
Chambre spacieuse et literie confortable. Très beau buffet au petit déjeuner. Personnel très aimable.
No positives after all the negatives. Horrible experience with this hotel
The hotel is full of ridiculous rules that make it impossible to relax and enjoy your time. Our room smells strongly of fresh paint, yet the AC is turned off and we’re not allowed to turn it on, even though the room is uncomfortably hot. When asked for at least a fan, they didn't have for us either. We also bought a bottle of wine from a local winery (we are in Italy, after all), and were told we’re not allowed to have it anywhere on the hotel premises. That’s honestly unbelievable.
It gets worse, we even received complaints for asking for an iron and using it for more than an hour. I've never experienced anything like this at any hotel.
This is especially disappointing considering we upgraded to one of their "comfort" rooms and spent well over $700 at their "Michelin star" restaurant. Despite spending significantly, guests are treated more like a problem than customers.
Overall, this has been a very disappointing and frustrating stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Accueil, la situation géographique et le confort de la chambre
Pas de parking en proximité
We stayed for seven nights last week room 414, in this fabulous hotel. The staff were friendly, very welcoming and provided a first class service from serving drinks by the pool with added gratis nibbles, I particularly enjoyed the olives to ensuring the restaurant was an enjoyable experience. Breakfast provided a varied selection of delicious food. The room was clean, modern and was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided. A digital safe ensured any valuables were kept secure. We took a kettle and some Yorkshire tea bags as tea making facilities were not provided apart from a coffee machine. We never used the drinks provided in the fridge mini bar as there was a charge for each item so I bought drinks from the local convenience store just located around the corner from the train station which was roughly seven or eight minutes walk. The traffic on the road outside was noisy at times but not so much as to disturb my sleep. We were on the fourth floor with views of Naples bay and Vesuvius in the background. The sunsets were stunning. Sorrento is within a 30 minute stroll(at my leisurely pace) a little tip if you ARE walking to Sorrento, turn left as you leave the hotel as this route is more scenic overlooking the sea and port areas which seems to pass the time quicker and before you know it, you’re in the heart of Sorrento. Some great bars and restaurants, where you can stop and enjoy a meal, or just a drink and watch the various interesting people pass by. If you don’t feel so energetic, there is a local bus service that runs regularly or the train which gets you there in about five minutes and is reasonably priced at €1.85. Would we stay here again? That is a definite YES from us. I read previous reports on trip advisor and there were some negative ones but I didn’t recognise the hotel THEY were moaning about and can only assume NOTHING would make those people happy but we thoroughly enjoyed the full week stay and a big thank you to all the staff for making our stay such an unforgettable and enjoyable experience.
I rarely write reviews before finishing a stay, but this experience has been so frustrating that I genuinely considered leaving after just 2 nights out of 3
