Ouvíamos muito os barulhos da rua, as janelas não isolam bem do som, por vezes o quarto ficava com um cheiro intenso a comida. A porta do quarto também não abria sempre a primeira, possível problema eletrônico l.

Pros:

Gute Lage, sehr saubere Zimmer, reichhaltiges Frühstück.

Cons:

Die Frühstückszeit startet ab 07:30 Uhr. Das finde ich zu spät, insbesondere, wenn man Ausflüge machen möchte.

Das Personal an der Rezeption könnte freundlicher sein. Das fängt mit grüssen an und hört damit auf, dass man aufsteht, wenn jemand auschecken möchte.

Good choice in Funchal
Pros:

Good value hotel in a great position. Nice rooms. Lots of choices at breakfast. Outside pool a bit cool (April) but small heated pool is brilliant. Easy walking either to lido area or Funchal centre. Lots of restaurants nearby.
Wonderful staff - special mention to Jonny and the girls on the bar. This was our 3rd visit and we will return !

Great staff, could not have been more helpful.
Pros:

The staff at the hotel are so nice. My parents have visited here for the past 20 years at this hotel. This year my Father had a major medical incident requiring an extended stay for my Mother and I flew out to be with them.
The staff were amazing, many are like family to them. They made a difficult situation as easy as possible, it was so nice to see and experience. Their effort and attentiveness deserves to be recognised, they have earned every part of this 5 star review.
This unfortunate stay will not be my last, I will be returning soon with my wife for a holiday this time!

Great hotel, excellent location
Pros:

The location was perfect, so handy for the marina, the lido and the old town. Lots of bars and restaurants on our doorstep. The pool was beautiful, right on the waters edge with plenty of sunloungers. It was my birthday while we were there and I came back to a bottle of fizz and some delicious chocolate cake in my room. Such a nice touch!

Cons:

The bedroom and the bathroom were a bit tired, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good, but no fresh orange juice - I never understand this ?

Excellent Hotel
Pros:

This is our second visit to this hotel. All the staff are all friendly and it was great to see them all again. The hotel is in a good location and our room was superb. The grounds are pretty and the inside of the hotel is stunning with lots of lovely seating areas. We were allocated the same room as our first visit on emailing the hotel, which was great. The reception team always respond promptly to any email queries.

It was my husbands birthday during our visit and we dined out at a lovely restaurant with friends and family who were staying there too, The breakfast and evening meal were very good, some excellent choices for the evening menu.

My husband had an accident slipping and banging his head during our visit. The reception staff were exceptional and arranged for an ambulance to take my husband to hospital for stitches to his wound.

We look forward to a third visit.

A very pleasing stay.
Pros:

This hotel is well worth a stay. It is a very good location with restaurants near by. The hotel was very clean and room was large and had everything you needed. The breakfast was excellent with everything you could ask for. The staff are very polite and helpful, they even charged my kindle. The pool are was lovely with good views and spa are very good. Nothing to complain about. Thank you for a very good stay.

Good stay
Pros:

Visited for 1 week on a jet2 package. Good location but no room upgrade despite hotel not being full. Food was ok, nothing to write home about but fine enough. Desserts very boring. That being said the staff were very lovely, especially the waiting staff and barman. Nightly entertainment was very good. Hotel was halfway between Funchal and the nice Lido area. Spotlessly clean
