Pros:

The pavlova for desert is definitely a winner

Cons:

The main entrance door is small/narrow, is unmanned and frequently needs to be accessed through a cloud of cigarette smoke as, although the area has always been signposted as a no-smoking area, the hotel has never managed to deter smokers from congregating there - to the extent they now permit it and provide ashtrays

Overall a nice hotel
Pros:

Great location , friendly staff. Beds were comfortable and room was not too warm . Extra pillows and towels in the room. Loads of parking .

Cons:

Food in the bar is too expensive. No hair dryer in the room.

Some rude and obnoxious staff

Cons:

I have been stay in hotels for over 30years and I never have been spoke to or treated as badly as the staff in this hotel, it started very good with a lovely dinner and very pleasant servers that night but the next morning it was disgraceful. I rang down to reception to confirm breakfast times and I was told 10.45 so we were down at 10.05 where I was met by a waitress with her phone the air that breakfast was finished , while I tried to explain to her what I was told she just kept on talking over the top of me getting more irrate as she went on , eventually she stormed off to reception to find who told me this , when she came back , I was told to eat the left overs and the cook would fry a few eggs , this is when the cook decided to appear telling my 80 year old mother that breakfast was finished in a very abrupt tone. Management really need to keep a tighter grip on the way staff treat paying customers

Comfortable but slightly remote from town centre
Pros:

Excellent breakfast. Comfortable beds.

Cons:

Room was dark, lighting not good. Bar lacked comfortable seating area. Slightly further out from town centre than we would have preferred ( hotel was a local relatives choice rather than our own)

Cons:

The bed room was a connection room so we coud not sleep until 3 30 due to the gustes nest room were groups simply you can imagin how they talk loudly and drink in room. we are not sure why the receptionist allocate this type of connection room for us

Quite pricy for what I had
Pros:

I like the bar at the hotel, since I was driving most of the time it was good that I had the chance to have a beer to end the day. There is a wide choice of beers and ciders, not just Irish, but from different parts of the world. At some point, there was a performance of an American band singing Irish songs. The parking was also very handy, since Sligo is a place where car is needed to move around. The rooms had enough space and the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The hotel is too big, and it takes ages to reach the rooms. The view from the room was to a parking lot, nothing special. It's also isolated from the rest of the city, so if you want to walk anywhere, it'll take you from 20 to 30 minutes. A wider variety of pubs or restaurants in the surroundings would improve the experience significantly.

Great short break!
Pros:

Great dinner and swimming pool!

Cons:

I felt the swimming pool was a bit dirty. Also lots of water outside the pool and a few kids fell off.

Beds comfortable, great leisure centre but lobby and restaurant could be improved
Pros:

Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and very tasty

Cons:

The restaurant wasn't great in terms of decor.The bar closed early and we had to move outside to the lobby, not really a residents bar...

While the staff were lovely, there weren't many of them so service was very slow in restaurant and bar and we had to ask a few times re our order...

The front door needs to be changed or else have automatic opening and closing, its very heavy and awkward to get through with cases and young children
