We’ve stayed in a lot of budget hotels while driving across country but this is right up there with the worst. Peeling paint, crummy bathroom, frigerator makes a racket, lumpy pillows, door to the outside doesn’t fit the jam and lets cold air in, probably could give way with a good kick, a real dump and they want a $50 deposit?? Avoid it - sleep in your car.
We put our adult kids there for a few days on a staycation type of thing for graduation. Just the 3 of them. Towels were dirty sheets were messed up and bathroom wasn't clean but that wasn't even the worst part of it. They stayed for 4 days and upon checkout at 11 they was 5mins past 11 and the lady in the office wouldn't give them back their 50.00 deposit. She was yelling at them too. They called like 15 mins before checkout anyways. At $89.00 a night this wasn't even worth it. I wouldn't recommend this place but if you stay anyways try and deal with the man he was a lot nicer. And for sure make sure you're not late checking out. Smh motel 6 I guess you don't leave the lights on for guest anymore
This is the absolute worst motel at which I have ever stayed. And I have stayed in a lot of motels, including Motel 6. No microwave, no refrigerator, no toiletries except two little bars of soap. Had to borrow a hairdryer from the office. Went to the office to get a little packet of shampoo. The walls and door in the bathroom were filthy. The water in the shower went from hot to cold. Very hard to adjust. The door had brown spots and streaks all over it. Sure needed paint. The doors in the bathroom and the front door looked like they were cut off with a skill saw and weren’t painted. The floor around the toilet felt sticky. When my husband got into the shower, the tub was black where his feet were. Almost muddy. After that, we kept our shoes on when walking in the room. The bed was comfortable. I had trouble sleeping due to an odor, possibly the bedspread. As we were going to check out, we asked a couple of people how their room was. They were not happy either.
It’s not my intention to hurt Motel 6, but I think people should be aware. I would never stay there again. Beware!! Tom would not be happy. He says they will keep the lights on for you. The lights were about the only things that worked.
I had a peaceful stay. The staff was very professionai. The room was emaculate. I would visit again and again. This property deserves high ratings. The property is secured.I highly recommend travelers to come and enjoy your rest at MOTEL 6 BLUE SPRINGS MO.
This was the WORST lodging I have ever stayed at (and I almost left after seeing the room). No surfaces looked like they had been cleaned, bedding had burn holes in it, the bathroom was a absolute NIGHTMARE! Water barely turned on and only had one temperature setting, boiling. I went to the nearest convenience store and purchase bleach, paper towels, gloves and new sheets. I fully cleaned that room so I could sleep. STAY AWAY!!
Absolutely disgusting! The shower would barely work and the tub would not drain. The room walls were stained with who knows what. We will never use them again and would have left if we could have gotten another motel.
We asked for extra pillows and the hostess was extremely rude, needless to say we were not given any pillows.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet. The TV worked well but the internet coverage was so spotty it was not useable. The location was also easy to find and there was plenty of parking.
Horrible. Asked for a "Non-Smoking" room and got one that "doesn't smell as much as the others". Nasty. Not clean. Smelled like an old ashtray. I was exhausted, had been driving since 2 A.M. and it was now @ 7 P.M., I was too tired to start looking for another hotel. I put some towels on the bed cover and tried to sleep. Got up @ 5 A.M. and left quickly.
I got this hotel as a free room from hotels. Com. I had to pay taxes and that was way to much to pay for such a gross room. The door had a non smoking sign taped on it but the room smelled like an ashtray which did not help my asthma. There was cigarette burns on the covers. The door had been kicked at the bottom several times difficult to shut. There is a small step up into bathroom that is awkward and should not be there almost broke my neck many times from it it. The towels were like paper towels see through and small. The paint job was humorous. We actually went to eat dinner at Waffle House as we thought the environment would be safer. This was a very poor experience not one positive to report except I survived.
Steps to the second floor and balcony were rotten boards. Security lock on door would not latch. King size bed was poor. Bathroom was in need of repair. We did not feel safe. Our non-smoking room had been smoked in. Certainly would not recommend.
The best thing about this hotel was the location.. The building could use some much needed repairs!! The rooms has No referigator, closet space, drawers and the ice machine is located in a room with the washer and dryer!!! A group of ten and it took almost two hours too check in!!
We had a reservation and it was supposed to include a refrigerator and microwave. When we arrived the place looked deserted and run down. The room didn't have a refrigerator and microwave and there was not a single room that had one. We did not feel safe here so we cancelled our reservation and stayed elsewhere.
This is the most disgusting room I have ever been in. It smelled like bo. There was nasty people walking all around. The room was horrible. I told the front desk I wanted a refund and she only gave me half my money back. It had to have been terribly bad for me to walk out like this. The room was absolutely terrible. Door was kicked in. Smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. Don't stay here. Your better off sleeping in your car. The front desk lady tried to tell me there was nothing wrong then kept half my money. About $25.
Really don't stay here. Stay anywhere but here! Rude, rude, rude staff. Bugs, bugs, bugs, unclean conditions. I stayed about 20 minutes and went on with no refund because as the signs read no refunds they were not willing to accommodate. They are scandals
I would sleep in a dumpster before room no hot water something out of syco movie but his was at least decent if they take your money file complaint wit attorney genrals officehttp://ago.mo.gov/consumercomplaint.htm go hear
My wife and I read the reviews but decided to stay anyway because we were traveling on the cheap and trying to make our money stretch. Large sign in lobby stated, "No refunds". That should have given us a clue as to what was to come. Here is the list of things wrong with our room; floor was sticky...the whole floor, bed spread and sheets had large stains on them, walls had discolored paint, t.v. froze when we turned it on.(no dvr, it just froze on a image. Can not explain why or how.) Room had 1 towel and 2 wash clothes, bathroom walls had mold and discolored, Shower floor was filthy and I have been in cleaner port-a-potties. On top of all this, a day later we found out a woman had been found dead in this motel the same day we stayed there.
Do not do what I did. Sometimes people write bad reviews for crazy things. But these are true. Loved the price but check in the man was rude. Told us one room when key didn't work he told us another. The hot water was way too hot and I was afraid my kids would get burned. It smells like meldew. Just stay away. You get what you pay for. Besides add said 35/night and ended up being 65.
I arrived on May 22, the first night reserved. Motel said they did not receive the "FAX" that said I had a reservation. My credit card had already been charged. It is now in dispute. From the look of the place it would have been a poor experience anyway.
Our hotel room was very nasty. The carpets are gross and the water was all hot very steamy no cold water to wash your hands or take a shower. There was loud banging and a group of people drinking outside. I felt very uncomfortable. I went to the front desk and asked if we could exchange rooms. The guy said no I already took care of the problem and they are full which there is barley any cars outside. The guy was very rude and hateful. I told him we had no cold water he said he said I check all the time 24 hours and I told him to go check please and he said go away and he walked away and left. When we came back to our room we can hear the other persons t.v and hear them open a can. And you can also smell them smoking. The walls are paper thin. Never stay here. They are very rude and also no refunds found out the hard way.
Booked this hotel by accident. Checked in the sign on the door said no refunds, that should have been all the sign i needed. Got our room key, walked into the room and walked back out. Went to turn in my key and left. We just ate the $40 and got a hotel somewhere else. I have stayed in bad hotels, but this place needs to be shut down. I would not want my dog to sleep there. The room door looked like it had been kicked in at one time. I will have nightmare about this hotel the rest of my life
