Food prices exorbitantly and unexpectedly very high. We ask (is the fist time we visit Marriot) before we book the average price and front desk say about $30 to $60 per person. That was not true it all. Unless the tariff war follow us to Mexico Marriot .Also they state that they they say they have 7 restaurants, only 3 served food.
We booked this staying since April, for a July 28th visit and call 3 times to make sure we our rooms to be close together or at least on the same floor. The receptionist warrantied and confirmed it (without rooms numbers??) when got there, ops!! sorry we cant do that. I last minute Delta cancelation fly took precedent upon my confirmation from 3 months ago.
Extremally disappointed. Is la like having a family mean on two separate tables. Ridiculous and no explanation nor an formal apology nor manager.
Spectacular ocean views, delicious food, a beautiful and quiet beach right in front, and the kindest staff. I celebrated my birthday here and they surprised me with cakes all day long – such a thoughtful touch!
My only regret is not having more time to enjoy this paradise.
The property was nice and big with beautiful greenery and flowers. Ideal location to watch the ocean and the seagulls. Each employee I came in contact with was above and beyond professional. Getting around on the golf cart with very convenient and helpful.
I was not too impressed with the food at the restaurants that I went to. I found the breakfast to be OK.
The hotel is gorgeous, beds were comfortable and the staff was very nice. I liked how big our room was. Really lovely place! A great destination if you want a nice clean and comfortable room, and want to sit poolside all day.
Note an Uber to downtown is about $20 and takes 15 minutes. With the new mall right there, it’s best to just stay at the resort or go to the mall.
The food was meh. Not a deal breaker but just not a lot of flavor nor authentic. We ate at 3 places on the property (breakfast, lunch and dinners), best meal was the fresh sea bass. Drinks were tasty but no alcohol in them, even with a double shot. On the flip side, I never saw anyone drunk.
Worst part was the ridiculous value for the all-inclusive food. Breakfast for two is valued at $110 USD that I’m supposed to tip on…? Come on. Three tacos platter, guacamole, water and a margarita was $200 (I tipped $10). What a turn off! I’m not a cheap tipper but this was nothing like I’ve experienced. I felt like I was being tipped to death, or genuinely asked for money all the time.
Lastly, the lounge chairs being reserved by towels. I wish Marriott would remove people’s towels if left empty for an hour. All lounge chairs are taken up with barely any people actually at the pool. I was there for 3 hours and most chairs never actually had a human. Boo.

We had a broken pipe under the bathroom sink. Ants on the wall, took over an hour to have someone come to fix the pipe and they didn’t bring any tools so they couldn’t fix it. Pool was very cold and a hostess lied about the cost of the buffet.
Good location. Room was nice.
Hotel was understaffed and service was atrocious. They ran out of basic food constantly, and staff was not trained. Service at the restaurant took way too long and we were told there was only one chef preparing meals. We would wait almost an hour for drinks and we had to wait over two hours for food. Terrible service.
Keine all-inklusive Stimmung, da viele Gäste kein all-inklusive gebucht haben. Das Hotel ist auch nicht so riesig. Man fühlt sich rundum wohl. Der Kids Club ist in der Nebensaison eine Art Spielzimmer mit Betreuung. Unsere Kinder fanden es super und es war auch im a.i. Preis enthalten. Die Atmosphäre in den a-la-cart Restaurants (in der Nebensaison gab es nur morgens Buffet) war sehr schön. Wir haben uns gut erholt.
Es gab leider keine Sportkurse. Die angegebenen Preise im Restaurant, die man als a.i. Gast nicht zahlt, sind ziemlich abgehoben. Ohne a.i. würde ich nur dort zu Gast sein, wenn mein Zimmer eine Küchenzeile hätte und ich bereit wie zu kochen.
Pools were great. Food was delicious and rooms were very clean.
We travel to this hotel annually. It recently became all inclusive. We did not book it that way and they honored it by just charging piecemeal for meals and drinks. It felt different. Service was incredibly slow and the service charge was automatically built in so it didn’t seem like the staff were motivated to get ordered right or timely. For example, we ate at De Corozon the steakhouse the first night. The food took 90 mins to get. Took 30 mins for drinks. It wasn’t even busy because we were there in August and the food was average. Just overall disappointing food/service wise.
Wow, what a place !! The food, room and staff were all top draw. Will be going back for sure.
