Lovely hotel- would love to return!
Pros:

Fantastic location, right next to the First cable car in the middle of Grindelwald, with multiple ski hire shops in the direct vicinity. It's also right next to a bus stop which can take you down to the Terminal, where there are more cable cars to a different selection of skiing spots.

Room was of a good size and well equipped with a coffee machine and balcony with an amazing view of the mountains.

Breakfast was of a good quality and wide selection.

Shuttle bus can take you to and from the railway station. Downstairs, there is a ski room to store your gear.

Cons:

The gym was a little smaller than I would have expected for a hotel of this nature, and the gym and spa area closed far too early in my opinion (closed at 8pm, which doesn't leave much time if you return from a day's skiing around 6pm).
Check out at 11am is a little early, especially as the breakfast runs until 11am too - check out at 12 would be more suitable I think, and would bring the hotel in line with others.

Hôtel à recommander ; grande réussite: on reviendra.

Great location! Staff was very helpful! The lobby area was very inviting with a great fireplace and comfortable rocking chairs in front of it for a cozy place to sit! The location is fantastic! The staff was incredibly helpful. The lobby area is inviting, featuring a beautiful fireplace and comfortable rocking chairs in front of it, creating a cozy spot to relax.

Cons:

We’ll definitely return and love the place, but some of the furnishings and rooms seem a bit outdated and could use some remodeling. It did seem as though remodeling has begun so maybe by the next time we go back all the rooms will have been completed 😊

Abgesehen vom Hotel Restaurant Adler haben wir uns im Hotel Sunstar sehr wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder dort Fe
Pros:

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war eher einfach, aber sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Besonders schön war der Balkon mit der wundervollen Bergsicht.
Das Zimmer- und Hotelpersonal war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch das Frühstück im Restaurant war sehr gut, und das Personal dort war ebenfalls stets freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal. Direkt bei der Bushaltestelle First und somit perfekt gelegen. Besonders gefreut haben wir uns über die liebe Weihnachtsüberraschung im Zimmer (Gebäck&Pflegeprodukte).

Cons:

Grundsätzlich hat uns im Hotel alles gefallen. Weniger positiv war jedoch unser Abendessen im Hotel Restaurant Adler. Wir haben kurzfristig reserviert und wurden in einen Seitenraum platziert, obwohl andere Plätze während unseren Abendessen frei blieben, was die Atmosphäre etwas unangenehm machte. Zudem war das Servicepersonal dort wenig präsent. Auch das Essen und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis haben uns nicht überzeugt.
Aus diesem Grund haben wir weitere Abendessen auswärts eingenommen.

Luxurious and clean hotel in a perfect location
Pros:

Room was big, comfortable, very clean with a breathtaking view.
Great amenities (pool, lobby, hotel bar), good breakfast.
Nice and helpful staff.
Perfect location, just 2 bus stops or a short walk (in nicer weather) from the train station, and right next to the first gondola for mountain excursions.
Great hotel, perfect stay. Would definitely go again.

Cons:

Not much to complain about, great hotel.
Kettle not included in the room but is provided in reception if you ask.
