Disappointing
Pros:

Location is great, hotel is clean and the food is good.

Cons:

The fact that they hit you with a bill at the check out that includes 5% of the room rate as accommodation service charge is a very tacky practice. That doesn’t include the service charge you pay for the room service or eating in the restaurant. They put you on the spot and you feel like you have to do it and I find that incredibly rude and it’s something that I’ve never seen in any other hotel (and I spend half my life in hotels). Since when do you have to give 5% extra for staff that just do their job, nothing more. It’s not like they do anything extra that you don’t get at any other hotel.

Lovely hotel in great area
Pros:

Location and room wonderful. Breakfast was not included and was expensive, but do were options nearby (just a bit less pricey!) the area is lovely with easy access to two tube stops. Staff very attentive snd pleasant.

Cons:

There was a “discretionary” service charge of 17 pounds added to bill at checkout for each day of stay for staff. So it’s “there” and only when questioned were we told it was optional. Of course we don’t want to stiff staff but it should have been in the booking confirmation.

Wonderful last minute stay. It will become our staycation hotel in London.
Pros:

The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff are phenomenal.

It kicked off with a bad impression
Pros:

Location and room amenities. Front desk, concierge and first floor bar staffs were helpful.

Cons:

Room service overcharged us on almost everything we ordered. We double checked their bill with the price list they had on TV and made inquiries. The management apologised and amended our bill. Not good practice.

A comfortable stay with excellent cleanliness, but noise between rooms and a high security deposit need improvement.
Pros:

This is not my first stay at the property. Cleanliness was excellent (10/10), the overall comfort and location were very good, and the staff were generally polite and professional.

Cons:

There was noticeable noise between rooms, which affected the quality of the stay. In addition, the security deposit amount was quite high. It was suggested that half of the deposit be taken as a tip for the staff. While I did not mind this as a gesture of appreciation, the amount was relatively high and I felt uncomfortable declining. I would appreciate clearer options or a lower suggested amount in the future.
