Fabulous friendly staff, from the reception staff, to the bar staff. Really helpful, only stayed a night as we were meeting friends for dinner in Fleet.
Nothing
Hidden away and quiet . Room was excellent ( once we got the correct one )
Staff were minimal . Gave us the wrong room then missed chips off our food order despite checking with us twice . They never did arrive . Too few people trying to fill too many roles
Spacious, friendly and helpful staff
Very outdated rooms & very run down, No A/C only worn out old fans provided, stains everywhere and the worst shower i've ever seen in my life, everything was either stained broken or loose cracked mouldy tiles and loose fittings and was completely inpractical, blood stains on pillow and shower curtain, stains on sofa, bathroom sink cracked, skirting and ceiling repaired badly or damaged, scuffed walls. Absolutely appaling and unacceptable condition and really disappointing for what was supposed to be a lovely overnight stay. Way too expensive for an "executive" room, I would not stay here ever again. If every room is like this the whole hotel need closing down. Photos for proof.
The staff were lovely. All were friendly and happy to help.
The entire hotel decor was dated. My room itself was west-facing, and the curtains had been left open. I did ask for a room away from heavy footfall, which ended up being in the roof space. So, it was hot. The decor was tired in here too. In fact, there were rips in the net curtains, and they looked like they hadn't been washed in ages.
There was quite a weak signal for the TV and WiFi in the room. I went to my room early as I didn't want to watch the football. Turns out I couldn't really watch any TV in my room!
I stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast package. The dinner menu was quite limited and, if I'm honest, a bit over-priced.
This was supposed to be a treat for me, but honestly, it didn't feel like it.
Not a lot.
Nice garden.
Not a bad location for town.
Room on top floor, via steep stairs. No help offered to bring cases down. Very hot no AC, unbearable could not sleep. TV did not work even when reported. Cooked breakfast cold. Looked like food was from day before. Cereal not stocked. Unfriendly staff, could not be bothered. Scruffy and worn internal decor and carpets.
Would not stay again and sorry would not recommend.
The hotel was in a great location and was very welcoming. It was very cosy and homely.
The bar room was a great feature.
The bedroom was well equipped and bed very comfortable.
My only criticism would be the breakfast room. The variety was good but things kept running out, ie all clean plates, glasses, bread for toast etc and were not replenished unless asked.
Location room size price
The burger when it arrived it was swapped in burger sauce o couldn’t see the cheese so did not eat the top bun
Bar staff could be more available even if just a few customers.
Was a very hot day and people below were smoking right below room windows. No aircon so my room was Smokey
Room and bed were comfortable and breakfast good. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
We arrived during a heatwave and the attic room was very hot. The fan provided did help but an aircon would have made a big difference. With all the available space in front of the hotel I am not so sure why it was necessary to charge for parking.
Parking
Only one bedside cabinet. Could replace with two floating tables.
Central location. Plenty of parking
Looking a bit tired, but value for money
