Hotel Propre et personnel très sympa

On arrival we were warmly welcomed ,the hotel was inviting and very clean . We were given information on our room and breakfast and then we went to our room . The room was very clean again and set up perfect for holiday stay . There is shops literally adjacent to the hotel to get any food or drink ie water when needed. There are many restaurants and bars within walking distance and we tried many and all were great even for 2 mature women. We had been informed there was refurbishment being done in private rooms 2 weeks before our stay and we could opt for another hotel if wanted obviously (there would either a refund if another hotel that was cheaper or charge if another hotel was dearer ) but the choice was given and work would start at 8-00 am and finish at 17-00 pm which was true to their word . It didn’t affect us as we were out most of that time .( the work was very close to our room ) . The breakfast was plentiful and catered for all dietary needs . We ate 8 mornings we were there and enjoyed all varieties of breakfast . The beds were comfortable and table and chairs were comfy too. The pool area was cleaned everyday to the finest detail and the pool floor does need some maintenance but it’s SAFE . The evening noise of people enjoying themselves could be heard but they’re on holiday ! The walk down to the main town is about 20 minutes away with the Agatha Christie steps to walk and admire . There are chairs and beautiful areas to sit while walking down if needed . There are taxis outside the hotel from 10-00 am into the evening if you would rather go that way to town . This hotel may not suit everyone BUT it’s affordable and value for money it’s exceptionally clean the staff are very friendly . We always book through Jet2 they never let us down .

We were worried about the negative reviews, but we booked through EasyJet holidays for a bargain price. The hotel was tired but the room was very clean and much better than expected. The cleaner came 5/7 days and was very thorough. Disappointed with the drilling works noise Monday-Friday as we were not notified of this. I would also say that the hotel has very limited facilities for guests on the evenings (no bar). The grounds were pretty but the pool was grubby. I think the hotel is adequate for couples as room only but not suitable for families. The area outside felt very safe and the location was ideal to explore the mirador de la Paz and Puerto de la Cruz town. The Agatha Christie steps are fine going down but would recommend a taxi back 😊 Overall adequate but room for improvement.

Great location, spacious room which was a little tired but clean. Breakfasts great selection and plentiful. Staff very nice and friendly. But that’s where the positive ends.
Sadly we felt very let down and disappointed. The large inside bar was not open at all during our stay. The pool and gardens were closed for 3 out of the six days we were there. There was a severe weather warning in place however the days the facilities were closed were the best and calmest, sunniest days of our holiday. The management made no decisions on actual weather conditions and it was an unexplainable blanket closure. We used the pool in the O7 hotel, 3 minutes walk away, as guests of our friends staying there. Their facilities were not closed at all. Other guests we spoke to were paying to use the pool at the Interpalace hotel just over the road. Since the pool bar was also closed it meant for 3 days there was no bar at all. For half of our holiday the advertised facilities which were the reason we’d booked this hotel were not available to us and left us wondering what we had paid for.
There are protest signs in Spanish hanging from 4 balconies referencing the pool and the management being ‘robbers’ which are not a good look and what you expect to see at your accommodation.
When the pool finally reopened it became obvious it is in a poor state with missing tiles and areas on the base of the pool where the surface has worn off and are showing large black areas.
I reported the problems to TUI and Hays travel while there and on my return and am awaiting a response.
Please, please check with your travel agent before you go what facilities will be available to you before you go.

Unfortunately there is an issue with one of the private owners within the complex who is breaking out concrete and putting a banner up on the main elevation . JET2 warned us 3 days before we were flying but said to move would be extra cost.
Jet 2 let down . Ovearl breakfast poor poor tatty

Rooms are nice tv toaster microwave coffee maker hair dryer and a safe which you have to pay for there is a 2 hob stove and pots and pans glasses and cups.Internet in room was very good i took my own fire stick and it worked great.I was in room 539 and it was very noisy at night with a bar on the corner with the noise going on till 2am -3am.and the noise again in the morning staring at around 8.30 am from construction going on in a room a few doors down i did ask some people who had a pool view room could they here the noise at night and they said no they couldnt hear it.The cleaners and front desk are very friendly but the guy at the pool bar made me feel very un easy saying i couldnt reserve my sun lounger i was only going to the toilet plus there was 60 other sun loungers not being used The grounds around the pool are very nice lots of lovely trees but the pool its self needs a lot of tiles replacing .I found the place to be very clean and spotless .There is not many restaurants around the area plus its a good 15 minute walk down some very high steep steps to get to the sea front.There is plenty of shops and a supermarket a few minutes away but there isnt many bars around the area .
