La posizione e il parcheggio
Tutto appena sufficiente
The location
The room was decorated in the 1970s.
No one answered the reception phone.
No hair dryer.
Noisy neighbours
The carpark chaos was stressful. Had to park at public harbour carpark foe another £20 on top of hotel cost.
Why not set up a carpsrk booking system, even if you charge e.g. £5 per night?
Harbour location
Dated
I somewhat like the price when we booked but I realise now that we could have chosen something different and been just as happy
This is an old relic of an older time. Like any hotel that sits on a seafront it has been weathered and that shows up in the wear and tear to both decor and staff.
The car park is an additional £5 and we were very lucky to get a space, it can be a little tricky if you're in the underground part which we were.
An extensive program of entertainment is available and printed on the back of the sheet we received when we arrived and signed in. The reception was surly and functional. This is a hotel that has seen better days and has systems in place to ensure that people get to the right places but not necessarily with a smile!
The room we had was hot but we thankfully found a fan, which was a little noisy, but did allow us to sleep.
We were allocated a sea view, but the condensation inside the windows meant we actually could not see it. The moment we would have been better off elsewhere that wasn't directly above the ball where we could hear terrible karaoke and then a DJ set until 12. That combined with the smell of smoke that kept coming in through the window, it meant that we ended up having to close the window making the room really hot again.
This is a good enough for a night but if you are heading to the Shuttle as we were, factor in time to get to the top of the town, or book somewhere a little closer.
The location was good and on site parking a bonus.
It’s quite dated in places. The bed in our room was old and uncomfortable. The bathroom could do with updating.
The staff didn’t seem to understand the importance of the World Cup and England’s first match!
Lovely friendly atmosphere
Very helpful staff
Everything clean and tidy
Perfect location
Not enough parking on site
Pool/darts area a little cramped
Great value for money. Room is austere but to be honest I didn't need nor expect more. Room size was good, bed was comfortable and bathroom was functional.
I didn't encountered any major issues in my two-night stay. If I had to mention one, the breakfast has very limited options and might not be worth the money.
The way out when I left
The car park, the location, the cleanliness, the electrics, the noise, the dirt, the beds, the bathroom… basically everything.
