Golden Tulip New Asia Hotel, The Bund Shanghai

The Golden Tulip Bund New Asia is a good option if you value location. It is well situated, making it easy to reach the Bund and other key points of interest in the city. For visitors who plan to explore Shanghai on foot or by metro, the position of the hotel is quite convenient.

The rooms, while clean and functional, are on the small side. They work well for short stays but may feel a bit tight if you have large luggage or are staying several days. One pleasant surprise is the excellent toilet with modern bidet features, which adds unexpected comfort.

Breakfast, however, could be improved. The selection and overall quality do not fully meet expectations, especially compared with other hotels in the same category. The common areas of the hotel also feel dated and could benefit from renovation, except for the breakfast room, which is surprisingly charming and nicely designed.

Nice, comfortable rooms and beds which you'd expect at this price. I slept very well. Not as much space to put or hang my stuff though and not enough mirrors either.

My main gripe would be the breakfast experience. It's pretty chaotic and badly organised. Not enough seating. We ended up sitting as a couple at a table for 8 that was too low.

The manager wore a suit and fiddled with with signage whilst the queues for the coffee machine built up. The overworked, struggling staff looked resentfully towards him and I didn't blame them. As a result of this schism I didn't feel the staff were particularly happy or friendly. The staff at the Beijing hotel we stayed at were much more helpful and friendly.

Great location near the river.

A very nice place to stay. Staffs are very friendly and helpful, the room is very clean and comfortable. The atmosphere of the hotel is amazing, very historic. Also, we love the surrounding area, very convenient for shopping and dining. Walkability is also very good, as the hotel is close to the bund and North bund. Would be very happy to recommend it to our friends.

Great stay, lovely room!

hervorragende Lage, wichtigste Sehenswürdigkeiten und Einkaufsfussgaengezone sind zu Fuß in 10 Min. Erreichbar. U-Bahn Station 5 min zu Fuß. Super Nachtspaziergang Fluss entlang. Auch auf der anderen Seite des Flusses. Essen, trinken, Musik usw. Alles super! 👍 Imm wieder gerne!

The hotel is ok but with a room i second floor facing the street you might as well sleep on the pavement - heavy traffic 24/7 makes it very hard to sleep. This is by far the worst hotel we have stayed in in China. No help to get from the staff so there is no chance of comming back here.

A very comfortable hotel ideally located just steps from the Bound, the historic center, and the shopping streets. Friendly and welcoming staff. Quiet and pleasant rooms. A very varied and high-quality breakfast. Ideal for exploring the city on foot or by metro. A lively neighborhood of good quality.
We spent 5 pleasant nights. I strongly recommend this place.

The hotel is great, located near the bridge and the room was big and spacious. The only issue is the front desk personnel don’t speak English.

Very clean and organised

It's a good price for the location (10-15 minutes walk from Bund) but dated exterior. Rooms are clean, modern and tidy bur beads are hard compared to others. Breakfast is ok but expensive at 88 rmb per person.

Good location to Bund city center. But very unkind reception service. No polite, informal speech in English to foreign guests.

Nice location, walking distance to the Bund, 1 metro station away from Nanjing street. Room was good, sound proof room, complete bathroom amenities, breakfast was good. The most disturbing issue for me was they don't have air conditioner at the bedroom on the winter season, just the heater. I ask the front office and they said the AC is turned off and the offered me electric fan when I complained the room was too hot for me. We don't have good enough sleep because of this unfortunately, we tried to open the window but it was too noisy because the room was facing the street.

At least the room was huge! Kept clean and smells fresh. It is a decent size even for a standard room.

The shower area can cause leakage though in the floor.

My main concern is the lack of variety and change in the food choices in the breakfast area. Better stick to your best choice or otherwise get bored about the food for the whole week.

위치, 가격에 있어서 탁월한 호텔임.

깔끔하고 위치도 좋았어요. 영어로 의사소통은 불가능했지만, 번역기 사용해서 어렵지 않게 의사소통 가능했습니다. 뷰는 좀 아쉬웠지만 방이 넓고 깔끔했습니다. 간이침대를 추가해서 사용했고 하루에 5만원 정도의 비용을 추가로 지불했습니다.
