Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, delicious breakfast. Building and interior could do with some TLC.
Pros:

We had a very warm welcome on arrival, in fact all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room, or suite as it's called was a very big room with a 4 poster bed and an en suite bathroom with a jacuzzi style bath, which was lovely to relax in at the end of the day. Breakfast was superb with a good choice of fruit, cereals, yogurt and pastries, and the cooked offerings were delicious, compliments to the chef on perfect runny poached eggs! The hotel building is very grand and impressive and the inside is equally as plush.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the room doesn't look quite as grand as it does on booking.com. The TV that is shown attached to the top of the bed has gone, although the bracket is still in place which looks ugly. The beautiful draping curtains on the sides of the bed no longer exist, there was only one cushion, not two, and the bed itself was quite uncomfortable, a very thin hard mattress and the pillows were very flat, hence we didn't get really restful sleep. It was lovely to have a jacuzzi bath, but the bath itself is poorly fitted and is very tatty around the top with the sealant peeling away, there is also grout missing from between the wall tiles. A lovely but sadly quite a tired bedroom and bathroom.

Great Location, Friendly Staff, Good Value, well worth a look if your staying in Bournemouth.
Pros:

My room was top notch, the breakfast wasn't all that, and took ages to arrive some days ( the staff, who were great by the way looked rushed off their feet ) and the location was excellent, right across the road from the Conference Centre, which was well handy, and the staff were great.

Cons:

The Breakfast could have been better, I believe that the breakfast option is no longer going to be offered from June onward, so maybe the last few weeks of the breakfast was not of the usual standard as they are winding down the breakfast service operations.

Not too sure I's stay there again. Staff were nice but a make-over is needed.
Pros:

Room was central to where I wanted and needed to be. Room was far from superior. Tired and dated. No lift option to get to the room. Breakfast was nice enough but not too sure it was worth £14.50.

Cons:

Some of the decor was cracked and could/should have been refresehd. I think renaming the type of room on offer would be a start. the "superior" single was far from what was described.

Excellent stay with excellent staff. :)
Pros:

All of the staff were so friendly, professional and approachable. The hotel itself was very clean and had a lovely ambience about it - the carpets may be a little worn in places (which added to the sense of history of the place) but they were clean and certainly didn't detract from my stay at all. I would definitely go back and stay at the Royal Exeter Hotel again. :)

Cons:

A slight dislike was the creaking of some floorboards in my room - but, interestingly, I was never disturbed by the sound of creaking floorboards from other rooms or hallways, even during the quietness of night.

Pros:

I’d Stay again
Pros:

Great location. Staff friendly. Not the most Modern. But still pretty good.

Cons:

For the price. I can’t really moan. Just a bit of music from downstairs. And the bottles being thrown in the bin at 3.30am. But. I’m a light sleeper. So
This is not the end of the world.
