Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento

View, service, facilities all exceptional.

Our room was terrible with a moldy smell and despite of my constant requests to get our room changed the staff ignored us!
There was even no chair in the room or a small table!!

A beautiful hotel with amazing views, a fantastic rooftop, and good pool and beach facilities. The complimentary shuttle was a great bonus, as the property is not located in town and the shuttle is needed to get there.

We had a fantastic holiday towards the end of October at The Hotel Mediterraneo for 1 week on bed and breakfast. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The view from our room was stunning, we were able to watch the sun go down from our balcony every night ( we had a sea view room).
The breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice from a self service buffet and also hot breakfasts such as eggs, omelette etc served to you by Salvatore and the exceptional breakfast team. Nothing too much trouble at all. We did have a meal one evening in The Vesuvius Restaurant, it was absolutely delicious, taste , presentation and service were amazing.
We were greeted when we first arrived by Aniello, The Hotel Concierge ,who along with his team could not have been more helpful. We wanted to hire a car to visit family a couple of hours away and Aniello kindly organised this for us through the car hire firm who delivered and collected the car to the hotel.
In our room every evening we got a complimentary bottle of water and the cleaning team always asked if we needed anything else, all really friendly ands helpful.
The Hotel has a good size pool, plenty of sun lounges to use and although they have a private beach we never used it as it was closed for the season (being late October we were aware of this and it wasn't an issue).
The hotel is about a 5 minute drive form Sorrento and we took full advantage of The Chauffeur Driven People Carrier which the hotel operated free of charge and which ran every 30 minutes, this was such a fantastic bonus to our holiday and again such friendly drivers ( sorry I did not get their names). It's a bit of a walk to Sorrento so the shuttle car was appreciated.
All in all a great stay and a fantastic holiday, many thanks to all.

Beautiful view

We recently stayed at Hotel Mediterraneo Sorrento and it was wonderful! We arrived after a long 12 hours of travel to a very warm welcome the minute our cab arrived at the door. The valet took our baggage, champagne was served as our room was made ready. Inside our room was a beautiful mimosa and fruit tray with the freshest most delicious orange juice. What a treat! Breakfast here was spectacular, we looked forward to it every day. The staff are so professional and attentive, offering everything from warm heaters and blankets on the rooftop, jumping in to take photos of us with the sunset, setting up rides to where we needed to go, renting cars, making reservations.....it was extraordinary! Above and beyond! We travel a lot and this hotel is the best experience either of us have ever had.

Amazing experience. The staff was very attentive to our needs, the attention to details and amenities were top-notch. I love that they have daily shuttles to the city center. They make you feel really special here.

We were lucky enough to stay at this wonderful hotel for a week in early October, and it truly is a very special place. What sets it apart is the incredible staff, they elevate the whole experience to another level. Everyone is Italian, which adds to the authentic charm, and they simply can’t do enough for their guests.

A special mention must go to Pina in Guest Relations, who went above and beyond to help us organize tickets and transport to a Napoli game, a wonderful experience we’ll treasure forever.

Our room was exceptionally clean, and the public areas were both classy and elegant. The pool was the perfect spot to soak up the sun and relax with a good book.

Breakfast each morning, with its breathtaking views over the Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius, was an absolute highlight. The hotel’s location is ideal too, just a pleasant twenty-minute walk from the centre of Sorrento, where you can stroll, dine, and enjoy a perfect Italian coffee.

We can’t wait to return!

This is one of the best luxury hotels in Sorrento! The staff is amazing and takes such good care of you. The hotel manager arranged my transfers from Naples airport and took care of dinner reservations. The bartender, Giovanni at the pool makes the best cocktails and gives outstanding customer service! Book this hotel and you won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait to return next summer!

Staff, food

Excellent five night stay at the Hotel Mediterraneo. Located in Sant’ Agnello, so a fair way from Sorrento centre but the hotel runs a complimentary electric shuttle to and from the town centre bus station which is a couple of minutes from Sorrento railway station. All the hotel staff, from reception to the restaurant to the shuttle driver are unfailingly polite, professional and helpful. We had one of the smaller rooms at the back of the hotel overlooking the picturesque hillsides behind the town but it was perfectly fine for a five night stay, immaculately presented and maintained. The excellent buffet breakfast is served from 7.30 a.m but in practice we found you could get up to it (the restaurant is on the fifth floor) a few minutes early if you need to be off on a trip and if you get there early you get a good chance of one of the balcony tables overlooking the beautiful Bay of Naples.
We used the shuttle in and out of Sorrento centre as the walk is about 20-25 minutes, the nature of the coastline means you can’t walk along it so have to go along busy roads. If I had a suggestion it would be to use a slightly larger vehicle as six seats weren’t always adequate and the service only runs every 30 minutes, though we found that if people had been left behind the minibus would come back and do a second run, only takes 5 mins into town. The hotel restaurant is extremely expensive for an evening meal and I would suggest eating at the Terrazza Mediterraneo across the square opposite the hotel which has fantastic views across the Bay and appears to be connected to the hotel anyway. There was slight confusion over paying for a third party trip which the hotel arranged for us, but for which we paid the tour trip driver for on the day but the cost of which appeared on our hotel bill but it was sorted out.

Love this hotel the best service Ainello and Pina are outstanding!!! This was our second time and it was still amazing. We love the sky bar and the restaurant as well the food and drinks are always excellent!!! Highly recommend a stay here.
