The stay was great, room/food/hotel in general all fantastic. The only thing that took the shine off it was a couple of staff making detrimental comments about a potential customer enquiring about a stay on the phone. I'm not naive enough to think that people don't talk, but don't do it in earshot of customers sat in the pub.
Really lovely hotel, clean, great staff and the restaurant was fantastic. The room itself has a very comfortable bed, great shower and spacious. Would definitely return.

This was a lovely hotel with really quirky rooms. Beautifully furnished throughout. The bed was large and really comfortable.
We had dinner and breakfast and could not fault either meal. Really good food beautifully cooked.
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it.
I would 100|% recommend the Wheatsheaf Inn. Lovely peaceful location very central to all the famous villages. The staff were really nice and helpful, we had the most stunning room (room 11) with a huge bathroom and rolltop bath. I really think the photos don't do it justice. I can imagine in spring/ summer the outside area is gorgeous with all the planting. But even in winter, it was so cosy sitting in the pub, with real fires and lots of atmosphere - even on a Wednesday night it was busy! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the food was great and reasonably priced. Service was great. I really couldn't fault the place at all and would highly recommend a stay!!
Love this pub, for ambience, food and location. This is first time we stayed in the accommodation, but have dined here before. The room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated in country charm.
A must stay if you are exploring the Cotswolds for a few days. We had a Snug room, comfortable and Stephen was very helpful in settling us in. Evening dining gave us some of the best food ever tasted and breakfast was superb. Staff very attentive and helpful and I have no hesitation in recommending the Wheatsheaf.
A very welcoming staff. Fab comfy room and a delicious dinner. Everything spot on.
There was nothing not to like
We had a lovely couple of nights at the Wheatsheaf it’s a very relaxed environment and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable nothing was too much trouble.
We ate in the restaurant both days and the food was fantastic. We will return
Breakfast was very good, comfy and very cosy room which was excellent!
Nought
We had a great stay. Room great! Bath amazing!
Staff friendly and attentive.
We had a meal in the warm and vibrant pub.
Nice breakfast too!
staff very welcoming and would do anything for you, cosy comfortable atmosphere, breakfast was great on both mornings with a large selection of both cooked and continental breakfasts.
Not sure if its to do with plumbing but the toilet flushing was the noisiest i have ever heard, not a problem for us but was worried of waking people up!
Dinner excellent meal and the staff were lovely
My deluxe room had a shower head that didn’t “rain”
And there was a leak into my bathroom overnight leaving puddle on the floor
The room was a bit chilly but a heater was provided
Lovely old building in a good location, the food was delicious and the bed was comfortable.
The room was very small, hot and in need of decoration/TLC.
The paint was peeling off the wall next to the bath.
Scuffs and marks on the walls everywhere.
Water stains on the walls from ceiling.
The room was incredibly hot, even with the fan provided (can only assume this room was located above the kitchen).
The shower was very lack luster, with very little pressure and water in the tray drained very slowly, much like the sink.
For a 4 star hotel I was expecting a lot higher standard for the facilities which is reflected in the price.
This did put a slight dampener on the celebratory weekend for my wife.
Terrific, best poached eggs we have had for a very long time.
um dos melhores hotéis que já fiquei, lugar feito para descansar, relaxar e comer bem.
Não consigo imaginar algo que precisa melhorar
This place was amazing from start to finish! We were given a free room upgrade upon our arrival, which was a lovely surprise. The room was gorgeous, decorated beautifully with plenty of complementary tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The bathroom was lovely too, all so clean!
I have an allergy to duck feathers and we forgot to note this in the booking, I noticed and went down to tell the manager, he did not hesitate to arrange an allergy friendly replacement bedding within 15 minutes.
Dinner here was lovely too as well as breakfast, will definitely be returning.
Only downfall is that the rooms were sooo warm, which was nice in the winter but our preference is to be a bit cooler so it would have been nice if we could turn the heating off in our room.
But other than that I cannot fault this stay, staff were lovely and accommodating, room was beautiful, food delicious!
