Excellent stay - great with disability / wheelchair
Pros:

Overall an excellent experience. The 4 stars rather than 5 is because some of our party stayed in a room overlooking the road at front of hotel and found it noisy (traffic) and the door fitted poorly so there was light disturbance.

Other than that, it was an excellent hotel and I would give it 5. We visited in January so the hotel was very quiet. It's spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was extensive, high quality, and the best I've experienced in any hotel. The surroundings were very pleasant - light and airy with lovely views, and a wide range of communal spaces to suit everyone. Whenever we needed a rest or relaxation space it was available, with plenty of variety to keep it interesting and different options depending on weather. The terraces have a lovely sea view, you can watch the sunrise over the sea from the terrace. The seafront is right outside the hotel, accessible via the hotel gardens.

I am an ambulatory wheelchair user and found this hotel excellent with disability. Corridors are very wide so it's easy to get around (even if there's a housekeeping trolley in the corridor). There are no internal doors. Ramps and lifts (elevators) are available and the lift was of suitable size for a wheelchair. Terraces are level access or served by ramps. I think there was a chair lift in the indoor pool but not certain. Not sure about the outdoor pools. Reception can arrange hire of a mobility scooter, minimum hire period was 3 days.

Bar Ingles was a pleasant space with nice decor and a range of seating. There was a great range of entertainment and activities - something for everyone. I was in a side room overlooking the pool and was not disturbed by the bar noise even when a singer was performing. This is a hotel where you can be in the heart of the entertainment and socialising, or find quiet communal spaces to enjoy undisturbed. We loved it and hope to return.

Great for adults .
Pros:

Just back from a lovely 9 stay at this lovely hotel.
Recently renovated , very clean hotel . We were on half board , was quoted 33 pp per night to change to all inclusive. Kind of glad we didnt as i found the food very bland. Id recommend just going bed amd breakfast .
Its great that there is an indoor pool in sister hotel, but again not that big .
All staff were amazing and enjoyed our selfs , again only fault was the food.
I wont rule this hotel out as id like to visit again in summer.
Over all a good experiance

Never stay here again
Pros:

Great check in and a great room upgrade. All down hill after this. The service around the hotel is awful. The bar and restaurant are very badly managed and understaffed. The worst experience was dinner, extremely rude waitress or server, don't want to offend the title. Alicia was one of the worst staff I've ever encountered in a Sol hotel . Alicia was rude, unhelpful and frankly aggressive. The food was dreadful, dry curled up meat, limp looking salad, etc. Tables were left uncleared for long periods with parts of the restaurant cordoned off for no reason, appalling.
Long queues at the bar, understaffed again.

Don Pablo Christmas Stay
Pros:

Thank you for a lovely Christmas stay. We had a lovely welcome and room with a slight view of the sea which was very clean and spacious. A great shower facility in bathroom. We were all inclusive and the dining experience was excellent. Very friendly professional staff to welcome and set up/ clear. It was lovely and near the promenade and shops/ bars etc.
The entertainment provided was fairly limited during day and evening but my husband joined in a couple of activities. The indoor pool was good to try out but as weather was cool/ rain there were a lot of swimmers interested. Christmas dinner buffet was busy but did enjoy the singer and had great fun dancing after the light lunch.
Noted a few stressed grumpy staff - staff who served eggs at breakfast - need some more customer care training.
Queues at reception were challenging during the period as checking in and out but most of receptionists proved very professional. Thank you to all!

Absolutely fabulous, don't hesitate to book
Pros:

We stayed stay the Sol Don Pablo for 7 nights over Christmas, booking directly with the hotel taking advantage of the Black Friday sale. This was the 2nd visit to this hotel, after having such a wonderful experience in October it was chosen for our Christmas getaway, which did not disappoint. After making the booking I emailed the hotel to request the room I had previously Or as near as possible, which when we checked in we had the room next door (1804) which was even better than the previous room, purely because we could lay in bed and see the ocean. We arrived Christmas Eve at 1pm, and were about to get in to our room immediately which was a great bonus. Check in was very fast and smooth, and very attentive very welcoming staff. This time we had opted for the all inclusive accommodation. This was a great decision, the drinks included were branded such as Smirnoff vodka, Bailey’s, Gordon’s, Cruzcampo, just to name a few. Food offerings in the Buffet changed daily, with different meats and fish every day, as well as pizza, burgers, different soups. We were very pleased with all the food, and considering how busy the hotel was there was plenty on offer and never had to queue. Outside buffet times food is available to order at Bar Ingles, we did this a couple of times and the food was delicious. Bar Jerez can be used at the Don Pedro hotel, which is just across the courtyard, we found this bar to be slightly quieter than Bar Ingles, and cooler too. There is entertainment at both bars each night, details of this is very easily accessible on the app. All the staff are an absolute credit to this hotel, they work so hard and go above and beyond, The guest service is first class: The whole team is attentive, friendly and always eager to fulfill every wish. Whether at the reception, in the restaurant or in housekeeping – everywhere you meet genuine warmth and professionalism. This is the only hotel I will now stay at in Torremolinos. The location is superb, I prefer a pool facing room so we can watch the ocean and the planes taking off and landing, this side there is no sun, but worth it for the spectacular views. Plenty of loungers and space around the pools, only 1 outdoor pool was open during this visit, but in busier times the other pools can be used, and if you cross the walkway, the Don Marco has a quiet adult only pool. So to conclude I highly recommend this hotel, and the all inclusive option, and I can wait to return for my next stay, well done to the whole Sol Torremolinos team and keep up the great work, fabulous resort.

Can't wait to go back
Pros:

Was the first time here in june 25 for me and my husband. It was just reopening after the refurbishment yes there were still some works being finished but did not hinder our stay at all our room overlooked the bowling green and we saw how hard the workers worked getting it all finished . I have to really praise the reception staff on answering all of my querys on the works before we came very helpful and patience with my questions . The hotel is in a perfect location drinks are great snack bar food great evening meal we found good but we did eat out a few times. The staff worked really hard and all staff lovely friendly and welcoming. I have holidays booked this year but I will be back next year and am bringing my daughter too as I cannot wait to show her how good the hotel is and everything around it.

Disappointing stay – misleading photos and poor standards
Pros:

Our stay on 31st Dec to 1st Jan 26 is deeply disappointing. The hotel is severely outdated and dirty, completely misaligned with the luxury reputation of the Melia Group. The room was incredibly cramped, barely fitting two adults comfortably, let alone the three people it was meant for. The bathroom had a fundamental design flaw: the toilet was positioned so close to the door that the door couldn't even close properly. We were also assigned a smoking room without requesting it, and there was no luggage service. The photos online are a total misrepresentation.

If this truly is a Melia group of hotel, it is a big shame and has destroyed our trust in the brand. We will never book a Mulia property again.

Xmas break from UK
Pros:

This was our 3 Xmas holiday to Torremolinas .
Originally booked for Pez Espada but due to refurbishment works we were offered this hotel. Not disappointed. The whole experience from decor food and grounds were excellent. Plenty of room so not overcrowded.
The Xmas buffet evening was well presented.
The only downside was the weather but the previous years were good. Would we visit again a definite YES
A few good bars close by. Also for a good snack try Tiki, value and taste good.

Good hotel
Pros:

It was a good experience for the first time in this hotel, but the indoor pool needs more cleaning. Also, the kids club was completely closed during our stay and the prices of drinks were very high. There was no bed for our child in the room and we had to use the sofa instead of the bed.
In the end,we have to say thank you

Sol Don Pablo
Pros:

I have just returned from staying at the Sol Don Pablo, and I really enjoyed it. The hotel was spotlessly clean. The food was of such good quality & there were so many choices at every meal that it would cater for so many people.
The location was beautiful overlooking the beach , with everything within easy reach, and the hotel had all the facilities we needed during our stay. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and the staff went out of their way to make it memorable for us. It was a lovely touch and really appreciated. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely go back & have no problem recommending this hotel albeit I went off season I would imagine in high season it is very busy as this hotel is part of a resort so 3 hotels can switch between each other for the facilities to be shared. It didn’t affect the restaurant as this was full most nights of my stay & staff are very swift to clear tables & again plenty food on offer

Lots to like about this hotel
Pros:

We stayed at Don Pablo on an all-inclusive basis for 7 days in early November, an absolute bargain booked via easyJet holidays.

This was the first time I’d visited Torremolinos and wasn’t actually quite sure what to expect. Overall, everything was great and I would definitely recommend the hotel. That said, I’m not sure I’d return myself purely because it was a bit bigger than I would normally go for and a bit too busy for my liking at mealtimes. I’d possibly just do B&B next time. But DO NOT let that put you off.

Check in was easy and the receptionist Eva was just brilliant. We arrived around 11am and so (as expected) our room wasn’t ready. Instead we left our luggage went and sat outside for drinks and soaking up the sun. We checked back at 2pm and our room was ready.

We’d booked the cheapest “Sol” and were given a room on the side of the hotel. It had a good balcony but neither a view of the pool or sea, which was fine. The room was very clean, fantastic bed, good TV, loads of storage. The bathroom was spacious and had a great walk-in shower. But what struck me was the amount of sound-proofing. Not a sound from the room either side. We slept really well.
The drinks selection for those on All-inc is really good. Mostly branded drinks too, and served in generous measures. Most of the bar staff in Bar Ingles were great and friendly (a couple that didn’t crack a smile). Service at the bar was a bit hit and miss too. Lots of queue jumping going on at busy times.

Entertainment in Bar Ingles in the evening was actually really good. A good mix of singers and Friday’s Flamenco night was really enjoyable.

Pools and sunbathing area looked great, although we didn’t use them. Mostly we sat on the terrace overlooking the promenade.

Service at the Sports Bar (outside) was all good, although one day we were going to try some of the food there. Waited an eternity for waiter to appear, so I went to the bar and was barked at to go and sit down and wait. We gave up in the end.

Food in the restaurant was mostly good. As is always the case in these buffet style places, sometimes you got piping hot food, sometimes it was just luke warm. Strange to see new fresh food being put on top of stuff that had been standing. And slow to replenish some items. Burger buns never seemed to be available, or they were quite hard.

Cold buffet, salads etc I couldn’t fault. Desserts were great and who doesn’t love a Mr Whippy machine!?

For me though, the restaurant at breakfast and dinner was just too busy. And what really put me off was the lack of hand sanitizer around the place, particularly in a buffet place where everyone is touching the same stuff. There was one unit by the door, but no one seemed to use it. The maîtres weren’t exactly welcoming either. One (male) actually quite rude, unless you were a young and pretty girl, then he’d show you personally to a table. Drinks service at the table also a bit hit and miss. Sometimes the waiter was there to take your order the minute you sat down, other times a long wait. Twice we’d nearly finished eating by the time something was offered.

The hotel generally was in good order – the refit is great. A few areas still to finish (half finished banister on a stair well, part of the restaurant ceiling still be painted).
But all in all, a great holiday in a great hotel. Throughout, I kept reminding myself how little we’d paid in comparison to other holidays we’d had. The value for money was excellent. Overall a great hotel, overall great staff and a great holiday for us.

Don Pablo worth the money.
Pros:

The Don Pablo is the superior hotel to the two adjoining hotels they share(Peblo&Marco) the food at Breakfast and evening is good and you won't go hungry, the only disappointment is the lunchtime, sandwiches are awful. so treat yourself and walk down the road to the bars were the meals are very good indeed.
The rooms are spacious, walk in shower is excellent, gym is well equipped, plenty of sunbeds though half of them need replacing, staff are excellent, this is a 4 star hotel and deserves that recognition. Don't go to the sister hotels.

Excellent hotel made for a great holiday
Pros:

Fantastic hotel. Very hard to find any fault. Room was large with very large balcony with great views. Wi-Fi was very strong throughout the hotel. We were on the 9th floor and no drop off. Food was very good, lots of choices for all. Special thanks to Francisco in the kitchen who when we said we were vegetarian and asked were there any vegetarian pizzas on that night, he went and made us a beautiful 12” vegetarian straight away. Gesture was much appreciated by us. From the hot counter we could see a great range of different meat and fish dishes on every night. Pool area was great. A three hotel complex so could use any of the 3 large pools available, also had a great indoor pool which was very warm.
Great security around the hotel felt very safe at all times on constant patrol. Entertainment every night was a good standard. Hotel is on the promenade so brilliant location, right beside everything that was going on. Near the lift up to
Torremolinos town so very handy. All in all we had a great holiday and would definitely return in a heartbeat.

Great times
Pros:

After a horrendous start due to waiting to check in for over 1 hour at reception with a 2 year old child, it soon turned out to be an excellent stay & lovely holiday.
The staff were absolutely faultless, friendly, helpful & professional they could not do enough for us. From the bar staff to the maid service.
There was a large choice of food at the all inclusive Buffett restaurant, it could be busy at times & we came out of session. Sometimes food was not hot enough but did the job, decent quality, you wont starve.
Very generous with the drinks & snacks from the bar. Our daughter loved the ice creams & lollies (thats mainly what she ate)
Room & facilities very very clean, you can have clean towels daily if you like.
Hotel lovely, the indoor pool was a god send for us as we came in November so outdoor pool was a bit chilly 🥶 for a small child.
We got a cheap deal so had a room without a view & no sun on the balcony but you can opt for one with both if want to paid for this.
Overall we would recommend & would come and stay here again 100%.
We also got engaged here on the beach in front the hotel 😁 💍
