Can't wait to return
Pros:

My husband and I stayed at this hotel last month for my birthday, we had such a great time we have booked again for next month March . I recieved a birthday card and a bottle of bubbly from the hotel which was really lovely.
We were on the 8th floor with excellent sidesea views. The food in the restaurant is of a good standard something for everyone ( maybe not the pizza and chips section ).
The hotel is lovely, good rooms with a kettle and tea and coffee tray. The bars and communal areas are very nice, very clean as is the whole hotel. with lovely staff from reception to barstaff and the lady who cleaned our room was lovely.
The hotel is ideally situated for the beach, local bars and restaurants, San Miguel street and torremolinos town.
Can't wait to go back

A lovely hotel worth a visit, just a shame about the transport issues
Pros:

When I read some of these reviews, I wonder if those people have stayed in the same hotel as me.
Yes, check-in is extremely slow but not a deal breaker because you are immediately drawn to the size of the hotel and its cleanliness.
My room was lovely, spacious, good sized balcony and great view. The downside for me, personally, was the building noise from across at the other hotel. One of two I was supposed to be able to use but both were out of action.
The cleaners are very pro-active and do a great job all over the hotel. I was especially pleased that the cleaners knew how to make a bed and didn’t just pull the covers back over so you, unexpectedly, got into a crumpled bed at night!
Always plenty of space in the dining room and a varied selection of food. Yes, certain food is available daily, but isn’t that the case in most hotels if you stay for more than a week? To praise the chefs, whatever was served it was piping hot and, to my amazement, chefs that can actually cook vegetables properly without turning them to mush! A delightful choice for breakfast, lots of pastries and freshly cooked eggs however you wanted them so no complaints from me. I certainly didn’t starve!!
Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to find all that the hotel offers. I did notice some reps had meetings and explained the layout plus how to get around the area but the company I travelled with were fairly absent in that respect. However, it’s a huge complex so those that like to wander will find plenty to do.
Entertainment in the bar every evening began around 9-ish. Personally, I think the hotel needs to address what could fill that ‘emptiness’ between dining and going into the bar. Other hotels I’ve stayed in have a compère or one of the entertainment staff…..not everyone’s cup of tea but worth considering.
Acts were hit and miss…..great Il Divo tribute and a girl group called Pop something. Both were terrific in my opinion but I thought the rest of the week was filled with mediocre cabaret acts apart from the Flamenco dancers.
Overall, I did like this hotel though, for me, my stay was significantly spoiled by not being able to use my balcony due to the noise from builders. I still feel strongly that the travel company should have at least forewarned us. Offering to change my room with just three days left of my eleven night stay wasn’t an option I could agree to. However, other areas of the hotel were unaffected.
I agree with the traveller who mentioned children running around. Unfortunately, that’s down to how much control is asserted by parents so can’t blame the hotel but, on occasions, I did think restaurant staff might have done a bit more when children were whizzing round where people were carrying hot liquids and hot food. Just a thought….?
The deterrent for me not returning revolves around transport. It’s such a trek to walk to the town centre to get buses. If coaches can drop guests off at the hotel, I don’t know why there can’t be a more local bus service. There is a local lift costing 50 cents which takes you up to the top of some steep steps and into the centre but, personally, I do prefer to have easier access.
There’s no escape from the fact this is a lovely hotel with a lot going for it but, we all know, you can’t please everyone.

Too risky for couples better hotels
Pros:

The location is at the bottom of torremolinos great for the beach but tram and town at the top. We stayed 3 weeks when arrived checking was very slow wanted extra credit card and signature but no explanation given.

The hotel is not adult only and be aware the card room for adult games can have kids playing football. The library had small children on scooters whizzing around. Our room was very well finished but the hotel management put small children both sides who made a lot of noise being 9n holiday and having fun. It is rated 4 star but hotel management school day one teaches don't mix guests together. When I went to reception their attention immediately diverted to a Spanish couple so walked away.

Have to mention the cleaners are great so friendly and chefs do present a good quality of food. The dining room is a canteen not resterant but functional once you get 8n ignore the table guides they will send you to shall we say not the best areas. So just find a table you want.

Conclusion lots of good points estate is 4 star but managers /reception very poor we went out early and came in late so fine for us but if you want to stay in all day think carefully other better hotels.

My company had melia hotels on corporate list which I have removed after my 3xperience so just look into all options in torremolinos ismy advice.

Great week
Pros:

The hotel was absolutely wonderful — beautifully maintained, comfortable, and offering a truly relaxing atmosphere.

The staff were exceptionally kind, professional, and always ready to help with a warm smile, which made the entire stay even more enjoyable.

Everything was perfectly organized, and the service exceeded my expectations in every way.

I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay.

Not suitable for vegetarian or vegan guests
Pros:

Not the best experience at this hotel so we'll probably look elsewhere in the future.
Check in is extremely slow we waited half an hour.
We moved rooms as we asked for a double and got two twins.
Our replacement room was ok. Overlooking a skip and building materials. We had to have the door open as it was so hot and no Aircon due to time of year. It was 28 degrees in our room once the sun hit it.
We wouldn't recommend the food as unlike other hotels it was the same every night. Veg, meat or pasta section and salad.
Meat was put in veg and on pizza so as vegetarians we struggled. Labelled as plant based we found lumps of chicken in the mixed veg.
Internet was patchy and unfortunately our room smelled of drains.
There was Also a lot of noise from neighbouring hotel in the same complex as building work was being done.

Boring bland food which never changes day after day. Not suitable for vegetarian or vegans.
Pros:

First of all it takes 15 to 20 mins to check in to your badly maintained room. (Per room)
The bathroom smells of sewage and the lift machinery noise drives you mad with Random heavy base booming sound all day and night.

The food never changes each day it always the same bland dull assortment of salad cheeses and meat and the odd vegetable.

Being vegan there was nothing apart from Salad and the odd vegetable. Even the dried up pizza they served had meat in it.

We won't be back.

we were disappointed
Pros:

check in took a very long time ,no queue, just very slow, also we were given no information about anything at the hotel. poor start.
our room on the 4th floor was a nice size with plenty storage and comfy bed, towels and bedding were changed regularly however the floor and especially the balcony never felt like it was cleaned during our stay. wifi in the room regularly dropped off and air con was temperamental. also balcony dividers look nice but are quite open and if you have loud neighbours you know about it !
breakfast and dinner options were ok but the food was often not very hot .and lots of the crockery was chipped /not clean.
staff we encountered were very pleasant and hard working
hotels pedro and marco were both closed so we could not access the facilities they may offer.
just some simple and easily rectifiable moans about our stay but it wouldn,t put us off from a return visit now we now what to expect.

A superb hotel with wonderful Management and Staff
Pros:

Another fantastic holiday at the Hotel Don Pablo.
From booking through to arriving we had marvellous service and the warmest welcome.

The Reception Manager couldn't do enough and really matched our request to a super room.

The hotel is well located on the sea front set amidst beautiful garden areas.

It is spotless throughout all areas.
The Reception team and Guest Relations are very caring and added to our lovely stay.

The bar and restaurant staff are hard working and welcoming.

The entertainment is varied and of a high quality. The in Joyce animation team work hard.

The restaurant serves a variety of delicious meals and of a high standard.

Our room was spotless and serviced daily and immaculate.

All the staff within all areas of the hotel offer the warmest of greetings.

We look forward to returning again next year and thank all the team at the Sol Don Pablo.

Would highly recommend

The Fabulous Sol Torremolinos Don Pablo
Pros:

A second visit to the fabulous Sol Torremolinos Don Pablo!
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome. Everyone works efficiently but at the same time creates a relaxed atmosphere.
The builing is immaculate inside and out and there is a huge choice of food at every meal.
Each member of the team is professional, friendly, helpful and kind and although too many names to remember, a mention goes to Lidia in the bar/terrace bar and Alicia in the dining room for their special care. A huge thank you to everyone. We hope to return soon.
I connot imagine how anyone has cause for a negative vomment.

Our 5th and final stay
Pros:

This is our 5th stay at the Don Pablo and im sad to say its our last. We are here at the moment, leaving on 06/02. In july 2025 we were disappointed to be overlooking building works going on. The work guys were so close i could have handed them a cup of tea from our balcony. Anyway, despite this ,we decided to book again for our current stay and about a month ago i emailed the hotel to politely request that this time we would appreciate a nice room with a decent view as our last stay was such a disappointment. When we arrived on 30/01, we were upset to be put in a room on the second floor which overlooks a carpark, shipping container and a pile of rubbish. We went to reception but were told the hotel is full ( in january...really?) But he offered us a room on the top floor which would cost us alot of extra money which we declined. We feel very let down by the hotel as we are returning guests and feel they will gradually lose business if they don't take care of their regular visitors. There are plenty of other hotels in the area to choose from. They didn't even have the courtesy to reply to my email requesting a nicer room. Not good business practise. Its a shame because everything else about the hotel ticks all our boxes.
I would just like to add that for the sake of children and teenagers especially, the hotel should have a games room. Theres an outdoor and indoor pool but very little else for youngsters to enjoy.

Paradise on the shores of Torremolinos 🇪🇸
Pros:

We have vacationed at the Don Pedro & Don Marco hotels the past two years. Going back again in February 2026.
Hotel(s) centrally situated: close to pubs, restaurants, small town center with a variety of shops- for all budgets. Train & buses are a short walk from the hotel. There's a beautiful long boardwalk that runs into Benalmedena for those who are adventurous (10km one way).

Staff is amazing, friendly and professional. I booked tours and excursions with the front desk and was always very impressed and satisfied with their recommendations.

Food in the hotel restaurant is always fresh, tasty and the menu, variety is delicious.

Beds, rooms,pools... common areas are well maintained, clean and beautifully kept.

I have never been disappointed with any of my stays and everyone I have recommended the hotel to have been very satisfied.

Unsatisfactory
Pros:

Staying at the moment as this was a gift from my partner as part of my 60th birthday trip. Only 2 nights but realy disappointed as he requested a high floor ( Seaview wasn't a requirement).
On check in we were given 1240 2nd floor not only that it looked over car park, dumping ground and at 8.30 woken buy around 20 motor bikes reving up.
Room is bacic bathroom black mould in places, toilet seat not fitted correctly and bath has been painted.
Restaurants food ok but clean up tables needs improving.
Pool is good that's why you get 2 stars.
I will be glad go tomorrow.
Note we were given option for high Seaview with a cost of 100e a night which is a disgrace.
In future I don't think I will use a Melia hotel.

New hotel for us
Pros:

We have stayed in Torremolinos several times in the winter but it was the first time at this hotel
We were very pleased with the experience
Easy check in after a short taxi ride from Malaga airport. Pleasant staff wherever we went in the hotel. It was clean and well kept. In fact it was so clean we watched someone vacuuming the decorative pebbles in a floral display.
I am a disabled traveller and the hotel was easy to navigate using sticks and the corridors and doors are wide
We had a superior side view on the ninth floor overlooking the bowling greens as requested. We enjoy sitting on the balcony late afternoon and the sea view was lovely. We were supplied with beach towels and a kettle. Tea, coffee and milk were replaced daily. Bottles of water are available at the bar
Comfy beds with a sheet, quilt and another sheet on top. Responsive heating so we were able to adjust the room to our liking.
Shower was large with a rainfall shower head and a hand held shower too. There was a large sliding glass door that was opaque on the bathroom door. Unlike other places we have stayed this door closed snuggly and couldn’t be seen through. Even after 44 years of marriage we still like some privacy. There is a motion sensitive light in the bathroom which made middle of the night bathroom visits very easy as we didn’t have to put the main lights on and disturb each other
The large dining room was busy as there were some conferences taking place but we never waited for a table and although they seemed a little short staffed we didn’t wait long for a drink
Food service was quick with show cooking stations for fish and meat or eggs/omelettes
I had steak several times and it was tender, tasty and not overcooked. The desserts were not to my taste but that was ok as I prefer fruit and cheese of which there was plenty
We were all inclusive and the drinks were branded names and cocktails were hand mixed and not out of a carton
There was entertainment every night which we enjoyed apart from the loudness. Flamenco, Salso metro and the Il Divo tribute were much too loud. Estrella, Tony Lavazzo and Sweet Carmin (how does she have so much energy?) were much more enjoyable. There is plenty of seating in the lounge area and further areas for card playing, tv sports and just a read.
Obviously it was too cold to use the outside pools but you could if you wished and a lifeguard was present. There is an indoor pool which is located near to the outdoor pool. We did think an internal entrance to it would make it easier to access. There is a reasonable sized gym, spa and hairdressers. Mobility scooters can be rented through reception
The location of the hotel is great. Seafront views and only a five minute walk to the Bajondillo lift to the town centre
We will definitely stay here again as it was relaxing but didn’t have the empty winter feel some hotels can have in January
We also enjoyed the mix of nationalities. The majority of which were European with some North American and Asian guests. Everyone tried their hardest to be polite and respectful of each other and converse with a smile.

Excellent stay - great with disability / wheelchair
Pros:

Overall an excellent experience. The 4 stars rather than 5 is because some of our party stayed in a room overlooking the road at front of hotel and found it noisy (traffic) and the door fitted poorly so there was light disturbance.

Other than that, it was an excellent hotel and I would give it 5. We visited in January so the hotel was very quiet. It's spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was extensive, high quality, and the best I've experienced in any hotel. The surroundings were very pleasant - light and airy with lovely views, and a wide range of communal spaces to suit everyone. Whenever we needed a rest or relaxation space it was available, with plenty of variety to keep it interesting and different options depending on weather. The terraces have a lovely sea view, you can watch the sunrise over the sea from the terrace. The seafront is right outside the hotel, accessible via the hotel gardens.

I am an ambulatory wheelchair user and found this hotel excellent with disability. Corridors are very wide so it's easy to get around (even if there's a housekeeping trolley in the corridor). There are no internal doors. Ramps and lifts (elevators) are available and the lift was of suitable size for a wheelchair. Terraces are level access or served by ramps. I think there was a chair lift in the indoor pool but not certain. Not sure about the outdoor pools. Reception can arrange hire of a mobility scooter, minimum hire period was 3 days.

Bar Ingles was a pleasant space with nice decor and a range of seating. There was a great range of entertainment and activities - something for everyone. I was in a side room overlooking the pool and was not disturbed by the bar noise even when a singer was performing. This is a hotel where you can be in the heart of the entertainment and socialising, or find quiet communal spaces to enjoy undisturbed. We loved it and hope to return.

Great for adults .
Pros:

Just back from a lovely 9 stay at this lovely hotel.
Recently renovated , very clean hotel . We were on half board , was quoted 33 pp per night to change to all inclusive. Kind of glad we didnt as i found the food very bland. Id recommend just going bed amd breakfast .
Its great that there is an indoor pool in sister hotel, but again not that big .
All staff were amazing and enjoyed our selfs , again only fault was the food.
I wont rule this hotel out as id like to visit again in summer.
Over all a good experiance

Never stay here again
Pros:

Great check in and a great room upgrade. All down hill after this. The service around the hotel is awful. The bar and restaurant are very badly managed and understaffed. The worst experience was dinner, extremely rude waitress or server, don't want to offend the title. Alicia was one of the worst staff I've ever encountered in a Sol hotel . Alicia was rude, unhelpful and frankly aggressive. The food was dreadful, dry curled up meat, limp looking salad, etc. Tables were left uncleared for long periods with parts of the restaurant cordoned off for no reason, appalling.
Long queues at the bar, understaffed again.
