Pros:

The windows didn’t open which was unfortunate as the cleaning supplies had a strong smell. The bar inside is very attractive and the menu looked good.

Cons:

Different cleaning products that aren’t so strong smelling.

We only stayed one night. I’d like to go back again and stay for a couple days. It was a nice place.
Pros:

I love the property. I love the bar, the pool area and everything, but I had called ahead and asked for a regular room instead of the cozy rooms and they said it would be no problem but then when I got there, it was the same room.

Modern comfort - great value
Pros:

Excellent value for the price. This is a converted motel, albeit with modern decor and thoughtful touches. Dog friendly - modern photography for art. The bed was very comfy, and I slept well once I pulled the curtain. Nice shampoo and a pebbled floor in the shower counterbalanced the weak water pressure. If you need an inexpensive, yet comfortable place to stay when you visit your kiddo at UCSC, this is a good option.

perfect stay at Paradox
Pros:

Location was super close to MRT and bus services which made travel across city using public transport easy.
Staff super helpful. Anything we needed expedited quickly.
Provider with pool pass on day of departure as we had evening flight. So we could use pool facilities and bar area.

Only down side was bar food near pool. Personally we found it expensive for what was on offer and a bit limited on choices in comparison to the daily buffet breakfast which was super and varied .

Nothing that would not put us off staying again. I am a clean freak and found the place spotless. Bedroom was peaceful no noise transfer from corridors or adjacent rooms.

Acceptable but not impressive
Pros:

The bed was comfy and it has a pool/hot tub for the summer months.

Cons:

It’s had a renovation but the limitations are clear in layout, the old fashioned bathrooms and it doesn’t have much around it in terms of location.
