Beautiful and comfortable room
RENT A CAR! This resort is on top of a very large hill and without our car we would’ve needed a taxi to get back up everytime. Would definitely come back. San Ignacio is a very vibrant town with lots to do. This resort was very accommodating to us during our stay. Very clean and well kept. The landscape was beautiful especially for a night walk. The staff was always at our service for anything we needed.
Loved this place
First time in this part of the country and it was great. Loved the quiet area and the staff was great very helpful.
Paula was a super host. She met our every need. The pool has a certain feel, like a natural pool in the jungle.
All staff was very helpful.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Falling Leaves Lodge. Staff will assist you on anything you need. Highly recommend.
We loved our experience at Falling Leaves Lodge. We rented the Stonehouse Room for a family of four with two teens. We had plenty of space. The room was very clean and well appointed. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, but so close to town. The pool was gorgeous! Food at their restaurant was very convenient after a long day or for breakfast before we set off. The price was perfect as well!
This place is a jungle jewel. It sits above
Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Hotel is next door to Cahel Pech. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel restaurant/bar had great views, food, and prices.
We were celebrating a birthday and wedding anniversary with a short stay in San Ignacio and decided to stay at Falling Leaves Lodge. We stayed in one of the cabanas and truly enjoyed our stay. They even decorated our room for the occasion. The room was comfortable and clean with a small fridge and coffee maker, with easy access to a nice pool for cooling off in the afternoons. The lodge restaurant has a nice view over the valley and we enjoyed a couple of dinners there. We loved the quiet location and convenience of being able to walk next door to the Cahal Pech Mayan site (that is definitely worth a visit). Paula was very friendly, had lots of information for us, and was extremely helpful, including arranging a driver to take us to the Botanical Garden when their tour van broke down. We appreciated the recommendation from Kevin to visit Ajaw Chocolate & Crafts for their demonstration and tasting. Everyone was friendly and kind and helped made it a great trip. We will definitely go back!
What we loved most about Falling Leaves was the staff. Everyone was so genuinely kind and helpful especially Christina and Kevin! The cabana was perfect and the grounds were beautiful! Would definitely stay there again!
The staff at both the lodge and restaurant are OUTSTANDING. The logde itself is in real need of repairs. Our first room was under the restaurant/bar, DO NOT ACCEPT this loud room. Music begins at 6:30am, the restaurant doesn't stop serving until 9pm. We were moved to a cabin with a much better noise level. Things are just falling apart, door lock broke, coffee pot broke, the shower head was horrible. It wasn't a terrible stay, if the San Ignacio hotel is available I would recommend that choice.
Paula is incredible- so kind and thoughtful. She made my stay a delight and I would come back just because of her.
Our family of 4 stayed in the ‘ stone house’ with a king and queen bed.
It was very clean with daily turn down service and water bottle and code refills.
The entire staff was very accommodating and friendly. The front desk was helpful in calling taxis and gave us towels to use on our adventure tours.
The grounds were maintained beautifully with a large variety of plants and trees. There was also a lot of wildlife to see.
Bonus: we had a humming bird sitting on a nest with eggs right beside our door.
Everything was Great!
We loved our stay at Falling Leaves Lodge. The staff of this place and their willingness to help was a key factor. When my bag was delayed and then I get the bag with wet mildew smelling clothes, the staff immediately did a laundry load for me and took care of it. This was after hours and within just two hours. I could not have been more thankful. They arranged tours, called cabs and even walked my bags to another hotel. Overall, quiet and clean property. It’s not updated but because it’s not heavily used like other places, it’s clean. I would use it again as a home base in the future.
The property management and staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. We arrived late due to a delayed flight and they were very accommodating staying open to check us in. They also ordered food for us from the restaurant which was closing. The feel was very authentic with trees and numerous separate spaces. Our luggage was did not arrive until our third day. They took care of it and had it delivered as soon as it arrived. Would definitely stay here again
Amazing small lodge with great staff and right next to Cahal Pech ruins and close to San Ignacio town!
We stayed here for 2 nights. Paula who works the front desk addressed for a taxi to take us to Xunantunich for $40usd and the driver waited there for us while we explored. Kevin the groundskeeper was full of recommendations during our stay. The property is located right next to the Cahal Pech Ruins and is located on top of hill. It's about a 25 min walk down two steep hills to reach the town center or you can take a taxi for $5 each way. The property was very nice and had alot of birds around. Aracaris, Chachalacs, Vireo, etc. The room was worth the cost. AC was very cold, water pressure was very good with hot water. They also mention the tap water was filtered and drinkable, but we just chose to use it to brush our teeth with it. There is filtered water available in the onsite restaurant to refill your own bottles. The bed was a lil hard and there is alot of exterior lighting that comes in during the night. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Falling Leaves Lodge.
