Stayed 4 nights in golden sands 5 . It’s very clean and well communicated . The service was good . The metro station sharaf DG is 15 min walks . And groceries and restarents ante near by . Best location to access everything .
Great
This property resembles a service apartment. It had everything I needed, including a mini kitchen equipped with plates, utensils, pots and pans. The best part was the in-room washing machine, which allowed me to do laundry without leaving the apartment. A drying rack was also provided, which I set up on the balcony. The hotel features a front desk that seems to operate 24 h. It's about a 10-min walk to the Sharaf DG station (Green Line station #5) and apparently a 25-30 min walk to the Old Soul near the harbor.
Property is very old property, own egoistic management- especially manager-Hadi. Its resturant serve very old food and very reluctant to accept feedback. They like to charge for any simple service. Seems all they care is to make money and not care for customers. Very terrible management.
Best part of stay was breakfast so many choices to eat from! We loved it

We have used Golden Sands 3 and 5 on and off for 25 years, The staff,as ever, are friendly, polite and always helpful. The apartments in 5 are comfortable and very tidy however they are starting to show their age, Golden Sands 3 has had a recent make over and looks fantastic its about time for 5 to recieve the same attention. The area is ideally located for local shops and dining and is within easy walking distance to the Metro. We will be returning in 2026/27 and are looking forward to it.

Located in prime area in Karama with all restaurants and groceries shops in walking area.
Staff and management service was really good
The staff was amazing, kind & helpful.
I want to also rave about Mubashar he was great, he greet us with such a warm & kind smile everytime we came back from our tours. He went above and beyond to ask us how we were doing. The apartment was so clean & the staff was very helpful.
On checked in I was greeted with in-experience staff. I have been going to Dubai for a lot of years now, and always used Bonvoy hotels and IHG as I am a member. For a change I wanted to try the golden sands as in the past Golden sand was good place to stay, however on this visit, I am dis-appointed, the reception staff did not even know that they provide toiletries!!! Giving me wrong information. Location is ok. Apart from a bad experience from reception staff rest of my stay are ok. Staff called MOBI in the evening shift was made my stay ok, he is present at the reception helped me with my luggage when I arrive. Gave information I need that the reception should done in the first place.
I suggest reception staff Mary should have further training with the service provided and Sadam for customer service training etiquette.

Stayed for 10 days. Staff were very pleasant however i had trouble enjoying a shower due to poor hot water supply
The house keeping staff excellent, very helpful very friendly and credit to Golden Sands. I found some of the checkin staff to be a little hostile sometimes. Which was a shame. This is my second stay a Golden Sands 5 and would come back, just hope the check in staff given a little bit more training on being friendly and helpful, this was not all the checkin staff, some of them very nice
First 2 days we suffer with many things like blockages, tripping, basin till last day they have not replace the filter.
I like everything the front desk and the house keeping we are enjoying , but I don’t like when they smoked inside the room
