Il Principe Hotel Catania

Hotel comodissimo in pieno centro, a due passi dal Duomo. Le camere sono molto belle, spaziose e pulite, e la colazione è ricca e abbondante.
Il personale si distingue per la grande gentilezza e accoglienza. In particolare Fulvia alla reception è stata estremamente disponibile e professionale nel suggerire le principali attrazioni e alcune piccole chicche della città e dei dintorni da visitare.
Un ringraziamento speciale anche a Santo, che mi ha aiutato a scegliere la camera perfetta! Senza dimenticare Ezio e Fabio a colazione, che ogni mattina accolgono gli ospiti con il sorriso.
Grazie a tutti per aver reso il mio soggiorno a Catania ancora più piacevole! 😊

El hotel tiene una ubicación en pleno centro. Un edificio antiguo pero bien equipado y decorado. El personal muy atento y amable. El desayuno muy bien aunque se puede mejorar.

Ho soggiornato in un hotel confortevole e silenzioso, a pochi passi dal centro. La camera era accogliente e pulita, e il personale molto gentile. Un’esperienza piacevole e rilassante.

The hotel is barely a 3 star hotel. Rooms are very old and not cleaned properly. İ saw body hair in The bathroom. Very noisy street. Staff was exceptionally rude overall. Definitely not reccomended

I stayed at this hotel as a photographer of an event taking place at the same facility. My stay was covered by the organiser for 3 nights but i arrived a night earlier so i decided to stay there and pay for a night so that i don't need to change hotels.
Upon arrival i paid the room in cash which was 134 €. I checked in, i was already late for meeting friends so after unpacking i went straight to shower but there was no hot water. So i had no choice but to shower with ice cold water in January. I told the issue to the reception when i was leaving around 21.00 hoping they would find a solution before i come back. But upon my arrival around 01.00 am i was informed they didn't do anything and there was no empty rooms so i had to stay but if i really wanted to shower he could find a place for one quick shower, he also said 'you wouldn't shower at this time of night anyway, right?'. I rejected his kind offer, i was back from a dance night so i had to shower once more with cold water before going to bed.
The next day i asked some form of refund because a 4 star hotel room deal basically involves a clean bed, a clean bathroom and hot water. And i paid 134 € for a night in a room that has no hot water. They told me to talk to the manager. The manager told me he has to discuss it with hotel owners and they will inform me before my checkout (which was in 3 days).
The next day i wasn't informed. The following day i wasn't informed either. I kept reminding the reception about the issue, that i will be leaving and that i want a fair compensation.
The morning i checked out i was still not informed and also not refunded. And the reception lady told me to 'write an e -mail' to the hotel.
So i wrote an e-mail like they said but no replies the next day. I wrote another e-mail claiming clearly for a reply and the reply was 'i was offered another room but i rejected so it was my free decision to stay in that room'!
This hotels management absolutely failed big time in my experience. Very bad customer service. One cannot sell quite an expensive room with failed facility and get away with it like it never happened and try to get over simply by lying to the customer. It is a scandal. I also want to remind every reader of this comment that i told them in person and wrote them with e-mail that i will be mentioning the whole case with details on popular review sites. I also want to emphasise that the rooms were very dusty and old as you can see from other reviews. Definitely not the worth the price

Very disappointing stay, especially for such an expensive hotel. The room was not properly cleaned—there was noticeable dust under the bed. Housekeeping was rude when I asked them to come back one hour later; they said it was either immediately or not at all.

There is no coffee or tea in the room, and you are not allowed to order coffee from the hotel bar to be brought to your room. Reception is also very unresponsive by phone—you have to go speak to them in person.

On top of that, a friend staying at the hotel had no hot water for over 24 hours and had to shower with cold water, with no apology or compensation offered.

Would not recommend.
