An excellent choice with a superb setting (lively stretch of beach) but the main attraction here are the wonderfully iron-water natural hot springs (and, at 40 degrees, they are hot). Many visitors to Thailand don't realise the country is jam-packed with hot springs, most of which we've visited, and these waters are among the best. If you can splurge on a villa or room that has a private hot spring pool then it's worth it for privacy/calm to soak anytime you want, but the two hot pools in the main complex are enormous and you'll always find space - but might get busy from day visitors (so avoid mid-day soaks). The icy cold plunge pool is wonderful and deifnitely creates a great balance to the 40-degree waters. You emerge from a combination of the two feelign very refreshed.
This was our second visit to the hotel and we can see a huge amount of infrastructure improvements in the two years since first visiting - they're obviously investing a lot of time and money into upgrading the premises and it shows. The onyl real srea that still needs some attention is the choice and overall quality of the breakfast - it somehow feels uninspired with limited choice (especially for vegetarian options) and nothing especially tasty or imaginative on offer. This would be an easy fix and we spoke with the very present and friendly General Manager about this (he is very keen to get feedback and make constant improvements, to his credit) and so we anticipate breakfasts will improve.
I love this place and I have been multiple times. Great staff and a beautiful resort. My only complaint is the overpriced food and drinks.
The new villas are stunning, we enjoyed the time, especially the private hot springs at the new villas.
The staff are very nice and helpful.
Breakfast is tasty and varied, coffee is very good.
we haven't expected the hotel with a natural hot spring onthe beachfront, it helpful, especially before bedtime, and helpful with my back.
Fantastic hotel. Have been twice now with both visits perfect.
The Japanese manager is wonderful, taking the time to wander amongst the guests each morning at breakfast.
We stayed in both the out buildings using the wooden walkway to access the amazing beach.
Das Personal gibt sich sehr große Mühe egal ob an der Bar oder beim reinigen vom Zimmer
An excellent resort suitable for both relaxation and fun especially if you have kids. It’s a little further out from
Lots of stuff but the hotel does a free shuttle service to the supermarket etc. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful. The islands ( charged privately) are out of this world . Extra for all of that though but well worth it . 👌👌👌👌🙌🙌🙌 Freshly made food which is also very tasty. I loved my time there . I would highly recommend it 100 percent!
If u like good basic service do not book this establishment!
x2 rooms have had no towels for 2 days! No bathroom towels and beach towels!
Just been to dinner and walked out over 2 hours later with only one child having recieved a main course!
3 of us have gone home with having had no main course - x2 main courses arrived cold - x2 chicken and rice meals were re served heated up!!!! Both unhealthy and unacceptable! My son’s main course then also arrived cold! When I asked to kindly and calmly speak to a manager I was told to “go home”!!!!! Not a 5 4 or 3 star establishment!
A disappointing stay and end to a great trip!
A great and fantastic report with a very good and clean private pool villa and specially the private natural hot spring (salt water) inside the villa, which serve to you 24 hours at the temperature of 40 Degree Celsius at all times. Great breakfast and a very wide range of fitness, massage, and the nice walkway bridge to the very private beach front
This was our second visit too. The Hotspring Beach Resort and spa. This time we oppted for the private pool villa.
Although the other resort style room are extremely clean and comfortable.
We just felt it was time to see what all the fuss was about with the private pool villa. Oh my it didn't disappoint. The room was luxurious the bed was super comfortable I slept through the night and had probably the best night sleep in a long time. The bathroom had it's own spa bath with 40c spa water directly to your room. We also took full advantage of the 2 commanl hot springs and commanl swiming pool. The staff are very helpful and polite and made us feel extremely welcoming. The hotel restaurant breakfast was very nice. And the new local food style menu must be tried. The service was fantastic and the landscape around the resort makes you feel that nature is giving you a big hug. Put this resort on you to do list..
Big property with multiple pools and sections.
Unfortunately the upkeep is not good and there are areas that looks run down.
Reception staff is indifferent at best. Took forever to check in with no explanation given. People coming in after us were given their rooms while we just stood there.
After awhile we were told the room was still occupied.
We came back a couple of hours later and still "not ready". 2 hours past check out time and our room is still not ready.
Oh also got served raw chicken at the restaurant. When we told them they changed it and we were told to "check first"
Not impressed and disappointing.
Lovely resort. I enjoyed our stay in building 6 overlooking the water towards the beach. Lots of bird life and nature to appreciate. We drove up from Phuket and really a different quieter world here. The highlight was the hot spring and cold pool. We went twice a day when it was quiet in morning and evening. Walked along the beach in the morning for couple of miles and nobody except few fisherman, birds and crabs. Ate in the waterfront restaurant which is very good fresh fish. Not many other places around we were directed to a beach cafe turn right about 5 minutes drive along beach across canal which was good too. Overall had a great time and felt some other reviews were harsh as for me it compares favorably with similar resorts around world
Our villa included our own personal pool. The food was great.
Beautiful resort off the beaten track. Here with family in deluxe garden view rooms. Would definitely recommend staying a few days here. Good selection of food for breakfast. Pleasant staff. Complimentary shuttle bus to town at 2pm for 2 hours. Private beach.
Downside of resort - location (need transport to get around and choice of restaurants in vicinity limited); restaurants at resort expensive and not particularly good quality; during day overcrowded with visitors who come to use pool and hot spring, causing hotel guests ie us to avoid area or hunt for seats!
Incidentally, sister had an accident on site and had to go to hospital. Was charged for taxi fare! Surely hotel could have provided a ride.
Spent 8 nights here, it is a semi remote location with natural hot spring. The property itself was beautiful and the staff were generally helpful. Although the property is close to a beach (connected by the long peer you see in the photos), the beach itself is not really usable for swimming, as the waters around here can be very rough with high sand dunes that make even walking on the beach a challenge.
As you can imagine, people come here for the hotsprings itself, as there is not much else to do, and I wouldn't recommend booking this place if you are not mobile with a vehicle. Also, if you are looking for just peace and quite, you might be in for a shock, as the Hot spring gets pretty crowded with day visitors, which will suck out any hope of peace and quiet.
There are also only 2 (very expensive) dining options within the property itself, so if you are looking to dine in during your stay, you really should prepare yourself for a shock.
If you are mobile however, as you do not necessarily have other options nearby within walking distance, and are willing to take a 10 minute drive away to Khok Kloi, you will have a much better food at cheaper price point.
This place is really well suited for people with a vehicle, as it is also 30 minutes drive to Phang Nga bay, where you can catch a boat to the Islands, and also mid-way between Phuket Town and Khao Lak area.
The really downside to this place is the sheer amount of day visitors to the springs, which makes any idea of relaxation impossible (unless you are booked into a private villa) - coupled with the fact that there aren't any dining options within a walking distance of the place, making it really challenging to just sit back and relax, as the entire grounds seemed arranged for Instagram type visitors
For the quite low price it is a acceptable hotel. The pool area is good, the general condition of the buildings and rooms are quite good.
You should be aware that it is no other restaurants close by and the food at the hotel is expensive considering the quality.
Things that need to improve (that you cannot see in the pictures or description of the resort) to the get 4 or 5 in score:
Breakfast service - It is stated that the breakfast should start 06:30, but in reality the full breakfast is ready first around 08:00.
”Free shuttle to the market” - The service around this is terrible. We booked it 3 times and every time we have been promised to get on the shuttle but it has never worked and every time they say ”sorry”, but then the same thing happen the next time again.
Crazy dog at the resort - A crazy god lives at the resort. He is jumping towards the people all the time and have bitten one of us.
A lot of people everyday between 15:30-18:00. Since the pools/spa is open for people not staying at the hotel, about 10-12 cars/buses arrive every afternoon.
NO SAFETY
I stay there very often and this is the worst experience I have ever met!
I lost my swimsuit in the private pool area, which is impossible.
We went out and washed the clothes and hang them in the back of private pool villa before bed and woke up looking for it. Found out that my swimsuit and one beach towel were disappeared.
I reported to the front desk and they said only GM would be able to look at CCTV and will get back to me asap. I asked if I could write down a report and she said there was no such report only I wrote down in blank paper so I did.
I was waiting and no body contacted me so I called the hotel, no one had followed up and just answered that nothing has been found.
The front officer asked what did I want him to do. And those staffs who worked the day it happened were not in the office both of them the day later. And GM never ever get back to me and explained as promised.
Everything about this hotel was so perfect. There were both indoor and outdoor pools; the outdoor area had a regular pool as well as natural hot springs, and they were open 24 hours. The restaurant had a beautiful setting, and there was a billiard room for entertainment, although I didn't play billiards—I just enjoyed the hot springs, pools, and the restaurant with friends. One small disappointment was that, when I requested a glass of straight whiskey, the staff couldn’t provide it, despite whiskey-based cocktails being on the menu. This place is relatively far from the city center, but that distance brings a peaceful, comfortable, and relaxing environment at night. After all, I came here to vacation, not to hear people bustling outside my window or a neighboring guest’s cough disturbing my sleep. Overall, this hotel deserves a 5-star rating, especially thanks to the front desk staff, restaurant servers, and the friendly bike security guard who greeted us with a 'good evening' as we passed by late at night.
Been here twice now and it exceeded expectations again. Absolutely superb from start to finish!
A great place to relax and unwind with an amazing private beach.
