The room
Didn't give out towel.
Came on business and stayed from from March 2026 until present date. Staff was extremely nice. Wanted give a special thank you to a young woman named Tatyanna she was always extremely professional and very knowledgeable about her position here. And treated all tenants here as if they were her family members. I would recommend this place if traveling. But, they are the only Marriott I've stayed that wouldn't give hotel points.
Great experience every employees greeted me whether it was good morning or good afternoon. Breakfast was hot and room was serviced no complaints
10 out of 10!
Ke’le was extremely accommodating, and delivered exceptional customer service. If you’re staying in Columbia, this is the place to be!
This is, without question, the most meaningful Marriott I’ve ever stayed in, not because it’s the fanciest or the most luxurious, but because of what happens here every single day.
Patients travel from all over the world to have life-changing surgery with Dr. Gross, whose clinic is just across the street. Many of us arrive scared, in pain, and hoping for a second chance at living our lives. After surgery, this Marriott becomes so much more than a hotel. It becomes a place of healing, safety, and comfort during one of the most vulnerable times in our lives.
The property itself is beautiful, meticulously maintained, and welcoming. The rooms are exceptionally clean, comfortable, and exactly what you need while recovering. Every detail makes it easier to rest and focus on healing. The breakfast is outstanding, and what makes it truly special isn’t just the quality of the food, it’s the people. The person preparing breakfast greets every guest like an old friend, asks how you’re doing, remembers why you’re there, and genuinely makes you feel seen and cared for. In a place filled with people recovering from major surgery, those simple moments of kindness mean more than words can express.
A special thank you to Lolita, the manager, whose compassion and genuine concern made an unforgettable difference in our stay. She made sure we were okay, checked on us, and cared for us in a way that went far beyond what anyone would expect from a hotel. Her warmth and leadership set the tone for the entire staff.
I will always have a special place in my heart for this Marriott. It stands as a quiet partner in countless recovery stories, helping people through some of the hardest days of their lives. To me, this is the most important Marriott, not because of luxury, but because of its purpose. Every day, it welcomes people who are frightened, hurting, and hoping for a better future. The people who work here meet those guests with compassion, dignity, and genuine kindness.
Thank you for creating a place where healing doesn’t stop when patients leave the hospital. You aren’t just running a hotel, you are helping change lives, one guest at a time.
Spacious rooms, keyless access, great staff, on-site restaurant, plenty of parking.

We had a reservation at the Marriott Residence and n Columbia, SC. during a stressful cross country trip. While we were there a young group of girl dancer/ cheerleaders were staying on the floor above us, practicing their routines late into the night. The night clerk Tisha went up there multiple times when we called the front desk to complain…she was so wonderful! Thank you!
Just popped into Columbia for the night and had a great experience. Johnathan and all of his staff was very accommodating! The biscuits and gravy at breakfast were a great send off! Will definitely come back if in Columbia.
The hotel was excellent. Spacious, clean, great breakfast, and pet friendly.

Kele Pam, the front desk receptionist who checked us in on Friday, May 8th was extremely helpful, courteous, cheerful, personable, and efficient - the information she provided to us about cancelling a double-booked reservations and Marriott points was both reliable and helpful! Kale was one of the most helpful receptionist I have met in over 30 years of travel. We commend her for great service! Barb & Rich Allwes
The hotel and staff were great. I wanted to recognize Tavon Rogers who was a stellar representative of the hotel. He was in charge of organizing and interacting with customers during the breakfast hours. I saw him personally reach out to everyone in the breakfast area as they came in and departed. He ensured everyone was recognized and that their breakfast was perfect. He is an absolute asset to the hotel and Marriott franchise.
My husband and I stayed at the Residence Inn Northeast/Fort Jackson area in Columbia, SC. We stayed for 4 nights. The room was very clean. The bed was ok due to felt like a lump in the bed but slept well none the less. Noise level was not an issue since those above and beside us were quiet. We had a room facing the pool, nice view. Amenities include a fully stocked kitchen with dishes, pots/pans, and such. Has a stove, refrigerator (full size), 2 tv's, sofa, table and 2 chairs, and a desk. A bathroom with a tub w/ shower, and a separate space for the sink/mirror/closet to hang clothes in. We liked staying there so much we asked the front desk if they would help us find another in KY since that was our halfway point returning home. The lady at the front desk did everything she could to help but wasn't one in the town we were hoping to stay at. The only negative was that our one tv wouldn't work. We called the front desk, and they told us that maintence wouldn't be in till the morning, (this was 8pm). So, the front desk gentleman told us he'd be in to check to see what the issue was. He done as he said he would and came to our room and ended up fixing the tv issue, so we were able to watch it with no more issues. We are so impressed with this hotel that it gets an A++ from us, and we won't hesitate to stay there again if we are ever in the area. This is the best hotel we've ever stayed at to be honest. Thank you Residence Inn for a great hotel stay!
