Friendly staff, comfortable bed, but the facilities could use some TLC

The bed and pillows were super comfortable.

Cons:

We were told we had been upgraded, but the upgraded room was on the floor above the automatic front doors. Every time the lobby door opened/closed, there was a horrible screaching/grinding noise in our bedroom. At 6am, I finally turned on the AC fan just to try to drown out the door noise. Also, the room smelled of bleach. I'm not sure if that was the sanitation (the floor was still sticky) or if it was the chlorine smell from the pool.

Pros:

Very well kept on the outside while pulling in. Staff was very friendly, khali cleaned my room for the 5 days I was there and I loved her she did an excellent job of making sure we had clean towels everyday, fresh clean sheets, nice made bed, and room cleaned. I’ve never had this type of service anywhere else I’ve stayed at in Salisbury, not even at the Hampton Inn. This was by far the BEST hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

I will never return to this hotel.
Pros:

The property is close to Salisbury University

Cons:

The property is run down. Our first room was dirty, the floor was sticky and filthy. The second room was slightly better. However, there was Mold on the bathroom ceiling. Other people’s hair on the bathroom floor. The floor was mopped but not vacuumed, so the dirt, hair balls and food was just pushed around the room. Dust on everything. Just gross. We could hear the guests in the room next to us as if the door was open. Terrible experience. The front desk employee was visibly having a hard day. Arguing with someone in the phone and appeared annoyed I asked for a new room. Grunting he would clean the room himself but would not ask us to sit outside and watch and then gave us a new room. I have stayed in the hotel last year. It was nothing special but has completely gone down hill since then. I felt dirty when I left.

Wonderful staff needs help with more through cleaning.
Pros:

The location was good and it was easy to get to and the staff was wonderful and very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

There was stains and mold on the bathroom ceiling. The pull out couch in the room was nasty and stained and growing mold, wasnt able to use it had to leave the cushions on it for it to be slept on. The chair in the room by the desk was dirty and there was reddish brown marks on some of the walls and in the bathroom. The room also smelled like pickles. Unfortunately didn't take any pictures of the things listed above now wishing I would have. We have stayed at this place many times but this was the worst by far other then the staff. I truly cannot say enough nice things about them.

Pros:

Far from restaurants & property covered w geese and their poop. Pool was closed for maintenance.

Cons:

Dirty carpet and shower was scolding hot and no way to regulate until I got out and contacted desk.

Pros:

The young man that checked us in was wonderful. He was friendly and attentive.

Cons:

The entire building was disgusting. There was dried blood all over the elevator. Our be spread has to be replaced it was so dirty. Our room was just covered in a film of dirt. The entire building smelled like weed until you got to the entrance then it smelled like cigarette smoke. Please do not stay here.

Pros:

The area and atmosphere.

Cons:

The second queen bed had a stained mattress as did the pull-out sofa mattress. My dad had to sleep on the sofa. He couldn't/ refused to use the bed due to a stained mattress. We were there for a family matter and stayed one night but it was disappointing as I had patronized this hotel chain many times prior for business and personal travel.
