Pros:

Perfekte Lage, wenn man nicht mit dem Auto unterwegs ist. Besonders hat mir die Ruhe gefallen, obwohl es mitten in der Stadt gelegen ist.

Good location and room, although the expectations of additional services were not satisfying enough.
Pros:

The location was perfectly fitting for us - we have had everything closeby. Room itself was smaller, than we expected, I suppose it is due to 0.5x photos - but anyway the room was spacious enough for two people. Clean bed and floor.

Cons:

Massage service. It was way too expensive for the factual received service, it was quite odd, unprofessional and bad. If the hotel does not have a well-qualified employee to complete the needed objective, then this hotel should not offer this kind of service. Better to get a massage at the SPA center of course (in comparison with hotel service).

Pleasant stay, fantastic staff.
Pros:

Staff at the front desk were really friendly, with great recommendations on things to do, restaurants, etc. The 24-hour reception is definitely a plus. The location of the hotel was really good, within walking distance of restaurants, shops and attractions. The hotel is within the old city which is inaccessible to cars, but the pick-up/drop-off points are a few metres away from the hotel. My room was really quiet. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Shower gel, body lotion, shampoo and conditioner were provided, as well as a shower cap and kit with earbuds/cotton swabs/nail files. Adequate toilet paper was supplied. There was daily housekeeping. The reception area was also very welcoming and comfortable to relax in. Unfortunately, I did not get to use the sauna and other facilities.

That great combination of homey and professional!
Pros:

Wonderful all round! I can't imagined a better place to have enjoyed the Baltic gem that is Tallinn! Great breakfast, perfect location and staff who really care about hospitality. The bed was also sublimely comfortable.

Pros:

I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and one of my key criteria for how much I enjoy my stay is character. Merchant's House Hotel has some of the best character I've ever experienced. My friend and I were surprised to see how large the Board Room Suite was, but even more than size, it was the decor which charmed us. Bits and pieces of old wooden furniture and a set of enormous couches dominated the space, with the ceiling being a massive wooden panel from an old house being the icing on top. It felt like a miniature gallery entirely free of charge. Beyond the decor, the location is excellent - right near the town hall in Old Town. It felt like we could get anywhere very easily. The bed was exceptionally comfy, and the bathroom (while somewhat bizarre and with poor drainage) gave us the chance for a bath, which is unusual at this price point. The staff provided us with recommendations for what to do and see, and were on the whole pleasant and professional. Special shoutouts to the sauna, which I can heartily recommend to anyone who visits the north. I loved my stay here and will be trying to bring more of my friends back in the future.

Cons:

The breakfast was fine but nothing special. The fact that the rooms were old-fashioned key locks made splitting up a bit of a challenge. Tallinn old town occasionally smells a little of sewerage, but I believe this is an issue for the place in general since it presumably has old plumbing.

Pros:

Sehr schöne Betten. Alles war super sauber und das Personal sehr hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist einfach perfekt. Zentral aber dennoch so ruhig das man Nachts gut schlafen konnte! Wir würden immer wieder dieses Hotel wählen.
