This place is a gem ! Think of an old bed and breakfast ! Close to everything ! Rooms are comfy and their tea and breakfast are fabulous ! Highly recommend !
This property is very nice. Our room was quiet. Some fixtures are aging, for example, in the bathroom. The rug was older too with stains left from cleaning products or a little damage, but overall nice. Interesting that there aren't some of the typical amenities like face soap or lotion. The breakfast was fantastic! Reminiscent of Europe. The area is safe and walkable with lots of shops and restaurants. We had a great stay!
Great stay!
Was very nice. Excellent breakfast. Parking in newport is an issue.
Our stay was just mediocre. The staff was nonchalant and seemed bored. We had very poor lighting at the vanity and had to ask for new bulbs because it was so dim.
Room a bit on the misty side, but clean. Breakfast was the best part of the experience.
Thank you!
Perfect location, grat staff, very good breakfast.
Unique experience, close to old town Newport! Very cool room, unexpected from looking at the building. Wonderful breakfast!
Parking is a big deterrent.
Room was small but beautifully decorated with very nice pieces of furniture. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was nice. Overall an excellent value with great staff. Breakfast was in included with lots of options, everything was fresh and tasty.
EXCELLENT location! Everything is right here on a cobblestone street. Parking, stores, restaurants all right outside the door and the wharf is a 3-4 minute walk. Super friendly staff, rooms are spotless and for an 1800’s property it is in super shape.
Very comfortable room. Excellent bedding.
I’d definitely stay here again
Cozy B&B, love the breakfast and room was really clean! Would love to come back hear again!
We loved the location of this lovely little in and I wish that we had stayed more than one night. It was the perfect location, right in the heart of Newport. While old, the quaint charm won us over. The bathrooms were beautifully updated and the included breakfast was perfection in the morning! I would totally stay here again!!!
The front desk staff were exceptional
While the location is amazing (right on Thames street), they seemed a little understaffed and the lights in our room didn't work except 1 lamp and the bathroom light. The toilet would get clogged easily because the flush needed to be pressed a very specific way. The staff was amazing but I do think this place could work on making sure their appliances are functioning to the best ability. Breakfast and tea was provided for free and was a pretty nice assortment. The bedding, housekeeping was pretty nice.
Great spot with lots charm. Good value. Thoughtful staff - it was raining one afternoon and I had no rain gear, but the Inn furnished umbrellas.
5 stars
I give this place a 10 not because it's the Ritz but because it hits all my objectives and is very good value compared to nearby alternatives. This place is an inn, so not a fancy resort, but it has a quaint lobby with a nice, old-fashioned feel (old oil portraits), and the rooms, while a bit tight, have comfortable beds, a fridge, a clean bathroom with a tub/shower, and attractive period-style furnishing. My room was quite and with mini-split air conditioning was very comfortable. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was amazing for a modestly priced place. Parking for 24 hours, literally across the street, is $20. No elevator though, but the staff carried our luggage up for us without our even asking
