Beautiful and close to center
A bit noisy from the restaurant upstairs
An elegant boutique hotel in a restored historic building steps from the Zócalo, Casa de la Luz combines calm sophistication with an unbeatable Centro Histórico location. Quiet, impeccably kept rooms, and attentive service, make it an ideal retreat after exploring Mexico City’s historic and cultural heart.
While the neighborhood isn’t a standout feature, the hotel offers a refined and tranquil retreat from the city.
It’s a beautifully designed hotel with comfortable rooms and many thoughtful amenities ( ex: comfy bathrobes). Rooms cleaned to perfection daily. The front desk staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast is delicious and thoughtfully prepared. The rooftop restaurant ( for lunch and dinner)is one of the best I have ever experienced: innovative, delectable cuisine inspired by the kitchens of Oaxaca
I totally enjoyed my experience. Absolutely no complaints!
The staff was helpful, personable, warm & friendly esp Andy & Heidi. We both went out of their way to make sure that all our day trips went smoothly and we met up with our guides and had transportation to our locations. Hotel was absolutely beautiful and super clean and they were very generous with water. The daily breakfast was great choice of delicious food and they had a beautiful rooftop restaurant that also served incredible dinner. It was located in the heart of town walkable distance to all the main attractions and the area was safe. I would definitely go back to this hotel when I come back.
Sometimes it could be noisy given that it was in the middle of the city, but once we closed the windows and turned on the AC that sound was diminished. There’s nothing negative to say about the property.
Beautiful architectural features, staff is exceptional and friendly. Room was spacious and the bathroom products were excellent!
Noise from the small park in front of the hotel can be quite loud at times especially from my room.
Budynek
Okropny zapach, zatajenie , że dostaniemy pokój bez okien !!!!!!!
In the heart of Mexico City this hotel is a hidden gem with loads of charm and character
Breakfast area is rather small with limited options
Super presidential room
Staff, historic property, breakfast
An alarm went off in the middle of the night about a nearby earthquake and no one came by to tell us what to do
Presidential suite, grand, spacious, beautifully tastefully decorated room. Superb and comfortable bed.
None
Location was perfect for exploring the Centro Historico; the staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating; excellent breakfast with the plus of a very good restaurant on the roof top
The first room i was given didn’t have a window i could leave open without compromising some privacy. But the staff figured out away to move me to another room. I highly appreciated that
Staff said that we would be contacted by hotel via email to resolve our request for 1 night refund. Refund was requested as we were clearly informed by a female staff member over the phone to find a different hotel for our first night stay due to protests in Historic Center. No one has contacted us. Very disappointing. We do not recommend this hotel.
Beautiful property, but very bad services. We reserved a guide city tour and when we are arrived they told us that the service was not confirmed, so we had to find another solution last minute. Despite the breakfast was included, the day of checkout they didn’t provide us with a breakfast box for the travel. The restaurant was closed for dinner. The property is not properly soundproofed.
Very bed services
We stayed at this lovely boutique hotel in Centro for a few nights. The location is great, very central and in walking distance to museums and restaurants.
The staff are very friendly and ready to help. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, well appointed and quiet even considering it was facing the busy square where the hotel is located.
Breakfast was delicious and included many local food options, as well as tasty fresh fruit and freshly squeezed juice.
I would certainly recommend this hotel and stay here again in the future.
