Delightful and richly authentic hotel in the heart of Mexico City.
Pros:

The pictures did not lie. It was just a spectacularly niche and pretty place with high end amenities, great restaurants and food, and helpful staff. It was really central, especially for the places we wanted to go (noting that Mexico City is HUGE). It felt safe, clean, and really sweet. I couldn't rate it high enough. We were so happy!

Cons:

It was a little tricky to access via car, but it could have been timing with FIFA.

Feels like a castle with upgraded amenities, literally breathtaking!
Pros:

Breakfast was good, service was great and staff were very courteous, always checking in to make sure we were doing okay. The chef even gave us a private tour to share the history of the 500+ year old hotel. There is nothing negative about this place.

Cons:

Nothing.

Staying at CDMX? Skip the fancy big name hotels and stay here instead.
Pros:

Centrally located to the city center with plenty of great food close by. The hotel is super clean and a true gem! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The restaurant upstairs should truly be reviewed by the Michelin guide. Service at the restaurant was just as amazing as the service downstairs for breakfast, which was included. Can’t speak enough about this stay!

Nothing

A delightful stay in the center of CDMX
Pros:

Casa de la Luz lived up to all the expectations I had and beyond. I chose this hotel for its excellent location (close to the center of town and easy access to the metro), it's historic charm and the regular high ratings from other travelers. Each of these made it the perfect hotel for me. First, location meant I didn't need to use taxis or public transport much to get to the locations I really wanted to visit--they were all just a short walk away. The building originally formed a part of a hospital built in the 16th century, so it was really amazing to stay there. The rooms themselves were huge with massively high ceilings. The bathrooms were spacious and modern. All in all, quite comfortable. The other reviews I read about the hotel were spot on. The staff were so helpful and really pleasant and helpful at all times. The breakfast was regularly delicious and filling. In short, I loved it.

Cons:

I guess there are some bad points to every hotel, and sure there are a few here. None that would make me question my decision to stay. First it is on a well travelled road in historic Mexico City and right across from a popular public square. As such, it could be loud in the evenings although it was quiet during the wee hours of the night. The neighboring establishments could also contribute some noises. All that considered, it was not a problem at all, really.
